  • the metal element 2 when present, acts as a joining element to make the end join of the four-sided gasket shown in Figure 1 and in practice comprises a flat base 20, similar to that of the element 2' in Figures 9A and 9B, without the terminal hook 21' or with the said terminal hook unbent.
  • the shape of the metal element 2 with an L-shaped section and possible reinforcing ribs makes it possible to use very small thicknesses of material, for example of the order of 0.4-0.5 mm, though maintaining a considerable thickness of the element in the plane perpendicular to the plane of the flange 20'. In this way any risk of bending of the metal elements 2 in this plane, for example when the housewife lifts the gasket during cleaning of the oven, is avoided.
  • the flange 20" further helps to distribute on a very wide surface both the stresses due to normal functioning and the stresses casually caused by the housewife when cleaning the oven.

Claims (9)

  1. Eine speziell für Backöfen geeignete Elastomerdichtung, die zwischen eine vorderen Einfassung des Ofens und eine entsprechende Tür eingesetzt wird, wobei die genannte Dichtung einen durchgehenden Streifen (1) umfaßt, der mit mit Haken (21) versehenen Metallelementen ausgerüstet ist, und der Streifen (1) eine durchgehende Längsaushöhlung oder einen Sitz (3) mit einer äußeren Öffnung (4) für die Unterbringung der Basen (20) der Metallelemente (2) aufweist, die mit Haken (21) ausgestattet sind, die in an der Ofenstruktur vorgesehene Löcher einrasten können, wobei zumindest die Basis (20) der Elemente (2), die dazu bestimmt sind, an den Ecken der Dichtung angebracht zu werden, eine Reihe von Kerben (22) an einer der beiden Seiten aufweist, um die Biegung des Elements (2) auf der Ebene der genannten Basis (20) zu ermöglichen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannte Aushöhlung (3) in Streifen (1) und die genannte Basis (20) des Metalleckenelements (2) im Querschnitt L-förmig ausgebildet sind, wobei eine erste Abzweigung (3') der genannten Aushöhlung (3) sich parallel zur unteren Wand (5) der Dichtung erstreckt, in der sich die genannte Öffnung (4) befindet, und die andere Abzweigung (3") sich rechtwinklig zur ersten Abzweigung (3') nach unten in den Dichtungskörper erstreckt, und die Basis 20 der genannten Metallelemente (2) einen ersten Flansch (20') aufweist, der mit den genannten Kerben (22) versehen ist, und einen weiteren Flansch (20"), der rechtwinklig zum ersten verläuft, wobei die Flansche (20', 20") jeweils in den Abzweigungen (3', 3") der Aushöhlung (3) untergebracht werden können.
  2. Eine Dichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannten Kerben (22) eine im wesentlichen V-förmige Form aufweisen, wobei der breite Teil der V-förmigen Öffnung sich am freien Längsrand des genannten ersten Flanschs (20') befindet.
  3. Eine Dichtung nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannten Kerben (22) teilweise nur den ersten Flansch (20') der genannten Basis (20) der Metallelemente (2) betreffen.
  4. Eine Dichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannten Kerben (22) sich auf dem ersten Flansch (20') der Basis (20) der genannten Elemente (2) erstrecken, bis sie teilweise den anderen Flansch (20") betreffen.
  5. Eine Dichtung nach einem beliebigen der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannten Haken (21) der Metallelemente (2) einen ersten Teil (21') vorsehen, der im wesentlichen rechtwinklig zum ersten Flansch (20') der genannten Basis (20) der Metallelemente verläuft, einen zweiten Teil (21"), der im wesentlichen parallel zum genannten ersten Flansch (20') verläuft, und einen dritten Endteil (21"'), der im Vergleich zum ersten Flansch (20') nach außen geneigt ist.
  6. Eine Dichtung nach einem beliebigen der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannten Metallelemente (2) mit Verstärkungsrippen (50, 51) versehen sind.
  7. Eine Dichtung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine der genannten Rippen (50) sich längs in Richtung des anderen Flanschs (20") der Basis des Elements (2) erstreckt, während die andere der genannten Rippen (51) den Haken (21) des genannten Elements betrifft.
  8. Eine Dichtung nach einem beliebigen der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannten Metallelemente (2) durch Silikonklebstoff in der genannten Aushöhlung (3) gehalten wird, der vor oder nach dem Einsatz der genannten Elemente in die Aushöhlung aufgetragen wird.
  9. Eine Dichtung gemäß einem beliebigen der vorausgegangenen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die genannte Basis (20) des Eckverhakungselements (2) nach dessen Anbringung auf den Streifen (1) gebogen wird.
