Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mounting method bulkhead panels of ships' cabins.
  • a known method for mounting cabin partition panels consists in fixing to the ground foot sections with cross-section , to introduce the lower end of the partition panels into these profiles and then to cover the upper end of the partition panels with sectional head profiles bearing on these upper ends of panels.
  • Another method used consists, after having fixed to the ground section profiles in as in the previous case, immediately preposition the sectional head profiles in by hanging them on the upper deck using metal hangers.
  • the partition panels are then installed by interlocking in the head sections and dropped into the foot sections, a sufficiently large spacing distance being provided between the foot and head sections during the prepositioning of the head sections, suspended by said sections metal lines.
  • This process has the important advantage that the mounting the partition panels the way we come to indicate is done last, when there are no more risk of damaging them by handling, around, other materials.
  • Another advantage is the ease of dismantling of a panel since the head profile does not rest not on him, so it is possible to dislodge him at disassembly as it was fitted during assembly.
  • prepositioning head profiles is long and requires many welds for lines; furthermore these lines have the disadvantage of constituting bridges of sound transmission and also to form links with the cabins, transmitting to them the constraints of structures.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a method of mounting bulkheads on ships' cabins the advantages of this mounting process but without having any the disadvantages, that is to say, it removes the lines of head profiles, while allowing the setting place panels by interlocking and after mounting the ceiling slats.
  • the subject of the invention is therefore a method of mounting partition panels of ship's cabins, said cabins including a sanitary space constituted by a sanitary block and said partition panels being placed between a foot section with a section in the form of in which the panels rest and a section head section which covers the upper end of said panels without resting on this upper end, a process in which one begins by positioning the sanitary block and then by fixing on the external periphery of the sanitary block an angle support for blades for making the cabin ceiling, said profiles of feet being fixed to the ground at the location of the partition panels to be mounted, characterized in that the head profiles are temporarily supported at each end by a support mannequin positioned in a corresponding foot profile, for head profiles n '' having no end in contact with said sanitary block, and temporarily at one end only by a said support dummy for the head sections having one end in contact with said sanitary block, said end in contact with said block being then fixed on said blade support angle and the fact that said panels are placed, in par both of the
  • the said blades for the confection of the ceiling are placed and fixed to each end to a head profile or at one end to a head profile and at the other end to a so-called angle attached to said toilet block.
  • the invention also relates to a support mannequin removable for the implementation of the method of the invention.
  • This mannequin is characterized in that it comprises two simple posts arranged in parallel and connected by a link plate, said link plate not covering the full height of the posts but having a length less than that of the posts by an amount at least equal at the depth of the bowl formed by the foot profile, the cross section of said posts being such that they can penetrate into said head and foot profiles and that the connection of each post with said plate of link has a pivot axis allowing rotation of the post around this axis in a plane parallel to the plate and allowing the dummy to be removed from its location between head and foot profiles to replace it with a partition panel.
  • Figure 1 is a top view showing the location of the partitions and the sanitary block of two consecutive cabins.
  • Figure 2 shows the positioning of the dummies head profile supports.
  • Figure 3 is an elevational view showing the setting in place of a head profile.
  • Figure 4 shows the placement of the partition.
  • Figure 5 shows the disassembly of a mannequin.
  • Figure 6 shows a completed facade with all of its partition panels installed as well as the ceiling planks.
  • a sheet metal partition with stiffeners 2 In this view, seen from above, we see the location of two consecutive cabins.
  • the sanitary blocks S which are prefabricated blocks, at the periphery of which are fixed angles 3 which are used as support for the strips used for making the ceiling.
  • An angle iron 3 is shown in section on the detail marked A.
  • the angle iron 3 is thus fixed to the shell 4 of the sanitary block at the appropriate height.
  • Then fixed to the ground 5 of the foot profiles 6 whose section in the form of is shown in the detailed view marked B.
  • the leg sections 6 are fixed to the ground at the place where the partition panels will be placed.
  • FIG. 2 we just position, at each end of each foot profile 6 which does not come to the contact of the toilet block, a support mannequin 7.
  • a support mannequin 7 For foot profiles such as that of 6A, for which one of its ends comes against the toilet blocks, we only place a dummy 7 only at the other end.
  • a dummy 7 consists of two simple posts 8 and 9 arranged in parallel and connected to each other by a connecting plate 10, the length of which does not cover the entire height of posts 8 and 9. Its length is indeed at least less than the height of the posts equal to the depth P ( Figure 5) of the bowl formed by the foot profile 6.
  • FIG 3 there is shown in C section C-C of the dummy 7.
  • the dummy 7 is equipped with stabilization legs 12 fixed to the connection plate 10.
  • the section of the posts 8 is such that it can penetrate into the bowl formed by the profiles of foot 6 and head 12.
  • each post 8 and 9 has an axis pivot 13 ( Figure 5) allowing the rotation of posts around this axis in a plane parallel to the plate 10 so as to allow the manikin to be removed from his location and replace it as we will see later by a partition panel.
  • plank 14A light fixture plank 14A light fixture, blade 14B with fire detector, blade 14C with speaker.
  • the panels are then fixed by screwing in 16 to head sections 12, 12A. Once a length sufficient of panel 15 has been placed and fixed to the profile of head, you can remove the dummy 7; the head section 12, 12A is then fixed to the panels 15 and is therefore well supported, but it should be noted that it is not based on the top of the panels 15: there is a clearance between the top of the panels 15 and the bottom of the bowl formed by the profile head, allowing individual disassembly of the panels after unscrewing 16 and dislocation of the panel.
  • the mannequin 7 is removed as shown on the Figure 5 by rotating the posts 8, 9. Once the mannequin removed, we are continuing to install the partition 15.
  • ceiling slats can be placed before the partition panels 15 if the location for screwing 16 of the panels is located above from the upper level of the ceiling slats 14.
  • the reference 17 represents the door of cabin.
