In this case, it is also necessary two parts to achieve the fixation and more, it is necessary to exert a certain force on the hoop to make the heads flow inwards.
  • US-A-5,299,703 discloses a pump attachment system in which a ring has tabs terminated by a head formed by inwardly hemming. Before assembly, the hemmed heads are folded outward to allow passage of the neck. Once in position on the neck of the container, the heads are deformed inward with a hoop.
  • This system is similar to that of US-A-4,773,553, except that the ring is metal and the heads are folded inwardly and not fluent. Since this is metal, this system may be similar to crimping since metal is deformed to shrink. Again, it is necessary to use a tool to fix the ring on the neck of the tank.

  • the flaps do not protrude outwardly as they pass over the thickening, it is possible to mount the hoop on the ring before snapping on the neck. We can thus premount the band on the ring and mount it all on the neck, which simplifies the assembly of the dispenser.

Claims (15)

  1. A fixing device for a fluid product dispenser
    the dispenser being suitable for being fitted to a container (1) provided with a neck (10), and comprising a dispenser member (2) mounted on the neck (10) of the container (1), said neck (10) forming an outwardly-extending peripheral thick portion (11) co-operating with the remainder of the neck to form a bottom shoulder (12), said fixing device comprising a fixing ring (20) for fixing the dispenser member to the neck, the fixing ring (20) being provided with a peripheral skirt (21) which extends to below said shoulder (12), said fixing device being characterized in that said skirt (21) is provided with flaps (22) whose free ends point inwards and upwards and come into abutment contact against the shoulder (12), thereby snap-fastening the fixing ring (20) to the neck (10) of the container (1).
  2. A fixing device according to claim 1, in which the flaps (22) are pre-stressed to point inwards during manufacture of the fixing ring (20).
  3. A fixing device according to claim 1, in which the flaps are stressed to point inwards once the ring (20) is in position on the neck.
  4. A fixing device according to any preceding claim, in which the thickness of the wall of each of the flaps (22) is equal to or less than the thickness of the wall of the skirt (21) so that they do not project from the skirt as the flaps pass over the peripheral thick portion (11) of the neck.
  5. A fixing device according to any preceding claim, in which the flaps (22) are distributed circumferentially around the skirt (21).
  6. A fixing device according to any preceding claim, in which the fixing ring is made of a plastics material.
  7. A fixing device according to claim 6, in which the fixing ring is provided with windows (201) for passing mold pins suitable for forming the free ends of the flaps.
  8. A dispenser including a device according to any one of claims 1 to 7 and a dispenser member.
  9. A dispenser according to claim 8, further including a containing provided with a neck, said neck forming a peripheral thick portion defining a bottom shoulder.
  10. A fixing device for a fluid substance dispenser comprising a container (1) provided with a neck (10) and a dispenser member (2) mounted on the neck (10) of the container (1), said neck (10) forming an outwardly-extending peripheral thick portion (11) forming with the remainder of the neck a bottom shoulder (12), said fixing device comprising a fixing ring (20) for fixing the dispenser member to the neck, the fixing ring (20) being provided with a peripheral skirt (21) which extends to below said shoulder (12), said skirt being provided with snap-fastening ratchets adapted to come under the shoulder of the neck, said fixing device being characterized in that a decorative bond (23) is premounted on the fixing ring (20), the ratchets being inwardly deformable toward the band when passing over the peripheral thick portion, the skirt defining windows formed between the ratchets and the band, so that the ratchets may be received therein when they are outwardly deformed.
  11. A fixing device according to claim 10, in which the decorative band comes into contact with the skirt.
  12. A method for mounting a fluid substance dispenser comprising a container (1) provided with a neck (10), and a dispenser member (2) mounted on the neck (10) of the container (1), said neck (10) forming an outwardly-extending peripheral thick portion (11) defining with the remainder of the neck a bottom shoulder (12), the dispenser further comprising a fixing device according to claim 10, the method comprising the step of mounting the ring, with its premounted band, on the neck (10).
  13. A mounting method according to claim 12, in which the decorative band extends in contact with the skirt over the whole of the height of the skirt.
  14. A mounting method according to claim 12, in which the ratchets are outwardly deformed during the passage of the thick portion (11) of the neck.
  15. A mounting method according to claim 12, in which the ratchets are received in windows formed by the ring between the band and the ratchets during the passage of the thick portion (11) of the neck.
