Abstract

The access hatch is composed of three heavy pieces, a base (10), the hatch (20) and a counter base (30). The two bases tightly fit the cutout in the false ceiling. The base has a central opening (15) forming a manhole and receives the hatch, which rests on a shoulder in the base, and engages the counter base which covers the opening in the false ceiling.

Description

The present invention relates to the technical sector of traps which are wooden hatches or accesses that are installed in particular in false ceilings of private residences or factories, workshops, offices or stores and malls, to allow access to the attic or false ceiling.

Access to the attic or false ceilings can be made necessary for unforeseen maintenance, for example a leak on a pipeline passing through the false ceiling, or repairing wiring, maintenance or repair of an air conditioning system, fire safety systems like sprayers automatic sprinklers, and similar operations, or for any another reason.

The invention also relates to the installation of the trap according to the invention to the construction, that the pose during an intervention unexpected, in all the places mentioned above, and all the places like.

A very important application of trappons concerns fakes store ceilings, shopping centers, offices.

It frequently happens, for this kind of building, that a leak, by example of a sprinkler water inlet valve, causes a intervention in the false ceiling. Currently, the intervention consists of dismantle the appropriate part of the false ceiling, install a trap door craft, and to close the access hatch. The disadvantage of tarpons craftsmanship is twofold. On the one hand, they are relatively expensive and are long to manufacture individually. On the other hand, there is still a imperfection called "rupture joint" at the junction between the edge of the trap and the surrounding false ceiling. We can cover more or less correctly these faults, but there are still some imperfections that cannot be left as they are, because giving the customers a poor image of the store concerned. It often takes repainting the entire ceiling, which represents a very significant cost, especially as the work must be done at night, so as not to hinder the normal activity of the store.

So we see that there is a significant need for a trap that would be inexpensive and could be put down and left there after the intervention without requiring touch-ups around the installation.

Currently, the trappons are handcrafted, from various pieces of wood which are cut and assembled hand by the carpenter.

The invention relates to a new trap, characterized by its design in three massive parts, this design making it both industrializable on high precision digital machines, in series and therefore at a very low cost, and aesthetically very attractive.

The cost is further lowered by the design itself which allows to recover almost all of the cutting part of the counter-base to use it as an access hatch in a lower dimension.

  • la figure 1 représente le schéma de montage classique d'un faux-plafond ;
  • la figure 2 représente le trappon selon l'invention, en vue en perspective éclatée qui permet de représenter les trois pièces et leur mode de coopération ;
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear better on reading the description which follows, and with reference to the appended drawing, in which:
  • Figure 1 shows the conventional mounting diagram of a false ceiling;
  • FIG. 2 represents the trap according to the invention, in an exploded perspective view which makes it possible to represent the three parts and their mode of cooperation;
  • Figure 3 shows the section of the trap according to the invention, in position on the opening in the false ceiling.

In FIG. 1, it is seen, what is known, that the concrete slab 1 of the ceiling supports steel rods 2 themselves intended for support the weight of the plates 5 (for example “plasterboard” (TM)) of the false ceiling, by means of fishplates 3 and known means attachment 4. By way of example, a water inlet 6 supplies a sprinkler 8 via a valve 7. In the event of a leak, either at sprinkler, or on the valve, we understand that we must cut an area access bounded by dimension b. A representative example is b = 40 cm, while the spacing is a = 60 cm. Of course, these examples do not are not limiting.

We also understand that we cannot foresee at installation a trapped under each risk point.

The prior art therefore consists in cutting out the area a, repairing what must be, then rebuild the false ceiling using a trap door handcrafted, often made on site. This process leads to disadvantages mentioned above.

  • une base 10 , comportant une ouverture centrale 15 formant trou d'homme, cette base étant adaptée pour venir en recouvrement de l'ouverture ménagée dans le faux-plafond, sous celui-ci, et étant apte à recevoir la trappe 20, et apte à coopérer avec la contre-base 30 ;
  • une trappe 20 adaptée pour fermer l'ouverture 15 et pour reposer sur un épaulement de la base 10 établi sur au moins une partie du pourtour inférieur du trou d'homme 15;
The trap according to the invention is characterized in that it consists of three parts:
  • a base 10, comprising a central opening 15 forming a manhole, this base being adapted to overlap the opening made in the false ceiling, under the latter, and being capable of receiving the hatch 20, and capable to cooperate with the counter-base 30;
  • a hatch 20 adapted to close the opening 15 and to rest on a shoulder of the base 10 established on at least part of the lower periphery of the manhole 15;
  • a counter-base 30 adapted to cover the opening made in the false ceiling, from above, and comprising a central opening 35 of dimensions very slightly greater than those of the opening 15, so as to allow the passage of hatch 15,
the base 10 and the counter base 30 can be joined securely to each other by the clamping of clamping means 50, 50 'and 60 (not shown), 60' which correspond vertically in the two parts.

The same references designate the same elements on the three FIGS.

La figure 3 représente les trois pièces du trappon de la figure 2, après leur mise en position selon le schéma de la figure 2.FIG. 3 represents the three parts of the trap of FIG. 2, after being placed in position according to the diagram in FIG. 2.

We see in Figure 3 that the base 10 is placed under the false ceiling, and the counter-base 30 on the false ceiling, obviously at the level of the opening in the false ceiling plate 5.

La base 10 vient en léger recouvrement de l'ouverture, par son rebord 11 qui sert d'appui et masque de plus la découpe de la plaque 5.The base 10 comes in slight overlap of the opening, by its rim 11 which serves as a support and also hides the cutout of the plate 5.

La contre base 30 repose sur la plaque 5 par sa face inférieure 32.Against the base 30 rests on the plate 5 by its lower face 32.

The base and the counter base are united by the cooperation of a clamping means, for example (Figure 3) pin positioning or 50 'threaded part and fixing by a screw 60.

We also see that the hatch 20 comes to rest by its face lower 27 on the shoulder 12 of the base 10. There remains a slight play with regard to the vertical face 17 of the base 10, so that the hatch 20 can be raised and raised without difficulty.

The hatch 20 is wedged in position on the base 10 also by a lateral face shoulder 25. Naturally, the hatch forms a surface 22 full.

The other elements of the figures are not described here since their function is evident from the drawings; the references only allow their identification.

As we can see, the whole forms in section a structure in staircase 37, 14, 12, the hatch 20 resting on the part 12, and the plate false ceiling being sandwiched between base 10 and the counter base 30.

Un espace 14 est de préférence ménagé sur la surface supérieure de la base 10, entre le rebord vertical intérieur 35 de la contre base 30 et le décrochement 17 de la base 10.A space 14 is preferably provided on the upper surface of the base 10, between the inner vertical edge 35 of the counter base 30 and the recess 17 of the base 10.

Il facilite la manoeuvre de la trappe.It facilitates the operation of the hatch.

Various means can be provided on or under the hatch to facilitate the gripping, such as handles, ergonomic cutouts, etc ... as well possibly only known locking means. If the nature of the building requires it, we can provide rubber seals on the surfaces 12 or 27, and similar improvements available to any man of job.

Naturally, the trap according to the invention can be produced by any material compatible with its use, and is not limited to wood.

The trappon could be classified M1 fire resistance for, in particular, shopping centers, or a water repellent treaty for wet rooms such as the water features of villas or apartments, and like.

Parts 10, 20 and 30 can be machined on machines digital cutting, according to the preferred example, in solid wood. Each of them is therefore in one piece, therefore not causing cracks on the trappon itself, which is a big advantage, as explained above. In addition, the saving of time is quite important compared to an artisanal trappon, as well as the reduction Cost.

On the other hand, in this industry, we know that the dimensions standardized, or at least usual, for the passage or manhole 15 are 30x30, or 40x40, or 50x50, or 60x60, or 80x40.

One of the advantages of the invention is that, when one goes make a series of cuts in a counter base piece 30 to cut the opening 32, it will be possible to recover the cut piece so that it becomes a hatch.

It is thus possible to industrially manufacture several series of let us trap different dimensions, while retrieving the cutouts of a series to another. the material gain is significant, and contributes strongly to the cost reduction.

The invention also relates to a method for accessing a false ceiling of shopping center, workshop, factory, or villa or individual apartment (including access to the attic), or similar, according to which one cuts during construction or after construction a part of the false ceiling providing access to it, characterized by what it includes the installation of a trap as defined above.

Naturally, the skilled person will be able to define many variants of the foregoing description, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined in the claims, both with regard to materials, cutting of parts, dimensions, choice of clamping means, and the like.
