Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for selective, area-wise coating of a transparent carrier plate with a metallic active layer using a Etching process in which the metallic active layer and in with the metallic active layer to be coated areas applied a cover layer are, whereupon the metallic active layer in the not of the cover layer covered areas is etched away; a correspondingly producible layer sequence and a counter stamping foil that can be used for this.
- a metallic Active layer can be applied to a transparent carrier plate only in such a way that on the side of the metallic active layer facing away from the carrier plate is still at least three Layers are present, since the layer is at least partially based on wax will dissolve when embossed under the influence of pressure and heat.
- the cover layer has so far only been used according to its etchant resistance and essentially independent of their influence on the overall optical impression of the coated Carrier plate selected both in view and in top view what often a labor-intensive and costly application of a color layer between the active layer and the cover layer is required. This also leads to another Complication when etching, if the layer of paint must also be removed in certain areas.
- the invention is therefore based on the object, the generic method in such a way to further develop that the disadvantages of the prior art are overcome that means in particular inexpensive and selectively metallic with little effort coated carrier plates, themselves, with fine metal ornaments, letters or the like, can be produced.
- the metallic active layer is stamped over the entire surface of the carrier plate via a counter-embossing film at least in an area which comprises the areas to be coated with the metallic active layer, the cover layer in the form of a first color layer directly on the metallic active layer, on the side of the metallic active layer facing away from the carrier plate, and essentially only the metallic active layer is etched away in the areas not covered by the covering layer.
- the counter-stamping foil successively from a carrier film, a separating layer, the metallic active layer and an adhesive layer is formed, and the counter-stamping foil with the adhesive layer of Carrier plate facing under the influence of pressure and heat in a roll or Lifting stamping process is applied, the metallic active layer essentially applied without residues from the separating layer on the side facing away from the carrier plate and the carrier film including the separating layer is essentially completely separated.
- the invention also proposes that aluminum and / or at least one Aluminum alloy to form the metallic active layer, preferably by vapor deposition on the carrier foil of the counter-stamping foil is used.
- the metallic active layer can be selectively etched away with ferric chloride become.
- a second color layer can be at least partially between the Carrier plate and the metallic active layer, in particular between the carrier plate and the adhesive layer of the counter stamping foil.
- a third color layer after the area-wise etching away on the first color layer, the metallic active layer and optionally the side of the carrier plate that questions the second color layer, preferably flat, is applied.
- the first, second and / or third color layer for Adjustment of the color tone and / or the translucency of the coating of the transparent Carrier plate is applied depending on the metallic active layer respectively.
- the first, second and / or third color layers can be related be applied according to the invention in the screen printing process.
- a further development of the invention is characterized in that after Application of the first color layer, which also serves as a covering layer, and before the area-by-area etching of the metallic active layer, the coated carrier plate is annealed becomes.
- the invention also relates to a layer sequence, in particular inexpensively and with geriges Workload produced in a method according to the invention for obtaining finer Motifs and / or sharp contours.
- a layer sequence comprises a transparent carrier plate; a fully embossed on at least one area of the transparent carrier plate and in Etched metallic active layer in the form of a desired motif; and one in the form of the Motif directly on the side of the metallic active layer facing away from the carrier plate applied, oxidation of the metallic active layer essentially in the long term preventive and caustic resistant first color layer.
- the metallic active layer is aluminum and / or at least comprises an aluminum alloy.
- the metallic active layer can be covered with a, preferably silver, counter-stamping foil be applied according to the invention.
- At least a second layer of paint is arranged in regions between the carrier plate and the metallic active layer, wherein the second color layer is preferably yellow.
- a third color layer, at least in some areas, on the first color layer, the metallic active layer and optionally the second color layer bearing side of the Carrier plate is applied can also be provided according to the invention.
- the first, second and / or third color layer can be set the color tone and / or the translucency of the coating of the carrier plate.
- the third color layer is a white top layer or is a finishing lacquer, which is preferably applied flat.
- the carrier plate can be an acrylic glass plate.
- the invention also provides a counter-stamping foil, particularly usable in proposed a method according to the invention, which has the disadvantages of the prior art Overcomes technology by applying a separating layer to a carrier film, a metallic active layer is evaporated on the separating layer, and on the metallic one Active layer an adhesive layer is applied.
- the separating layer can comprise wax which can be lifted or Roll embossing process completely detaches from the metallic active layer, so that on the Essentially none of the side of the metallic active layer facing away from the adhesive layer Residues remain.
- the metallic active layer can according to the invention by vapor deposition of aluminum and / or at least one aluminum alloy can be produced.
- the adhesive layer can provide a firm connection between the metallic active layer and a clear acrylic glass plate through an embossing process to ensure.
- the counter-stamping foil can be silver.
- a second color layer between the carrier plate and the metallic active layer supports the color tone caused by the metallic active layer or support, as described in DE 38 98 689 C1, or the itself the color tone caused by the metallic stamping foil is converted into another color tone or convert, as disclosed in DE 42 24 63 C1.
- the first and / or second color layer can both change the color impression Intensify the top view and the view, as already in DE 44 12 876 C2 described.
- the through the metallic stamping foil as well as leveling the coloration brought about by the first and / or second color layer or more uniform, as described in DE 44 37 768 C1.
- the layer sequence according to the invention can, for example, be part of a Advertising element can be used as the motif letters, ornaments and / or the same in both a view and a top view. It is special important for increasing the durability that the coatings on the back of the Carrier plate are applied, which in the case of an advertising element in front Effects such as weather and the like are protected.
- the back of a carrier plate can be used according to the invention 10 first a region of color 12, such as a yellow layer of color, on top of it one metallic active layer 14, such as a silver foil, and only thereon in the areas in to which the yellow color layer 12 is applied, another color layer 16 is applied become.
- the coated carrier plate can then be annealed.
- the yellow color layer 12 ensures a conversion of the metallic by itself Active layer 14 caused silver color so that the coated carrier plate 10th both in view and in top view in the areas where the first yellow Color layer 12 and the silver active layer 14 are applied, gold appears.
- the further color layer 16 brings about a further intensification of the golden color impression the coated carrier plate 10 in plan view while avoiding darkening in review.
- the further color layer 16 serves as a protective layer for the metallic one Active layer 14 in two ways. In this way it prevents the oxidizing of the used metal, for example in the case of a thin aluminum layer would result in the initial silver metal layer becoming crystal clear within a few days and, in the case of a thick aluminum layer, would lead to the initial silver metal layer appears gray after a few days so loses its luster.
- the further color layer 16 serves as a covering layer in a subsequent etching process, in only the active layer 14 in those not protected by this color layer 16 Areas is etched away. Since only the metallic active layer 14 is etched away, one can simple etching method can be used to etch away the same, for example by Wash off with an iron (III) chloride solution.
- the third color layer 18 serves to equalize the color impression and the Translucency of the coating 12, 14, 16, 18 of the carrier plate 10.
- the inventive method described with reference to Figures 1 and 2 can be Realize only because a counter-stamping foil 20 shown in Figure 3 is used is coming.
- the structure of the counter-stamping foil 20 according to the invention consists of a Carrier film 22, a separating layer 24, the metallic active layer 14 and one Adhesive layer 26.
- the metallic active layer 14 For example, including the yellow ink layer 12, the counter-stamping foil 20 is applied to the die yellow color layer 12 bearing side of the carrier plate 10 applied that the adhesive layer 26 facing the carrier plate 10.
- the metallic active layer 14 adheres firmly to the embossing the yellow color layer 12 carrying side of the carrier plate 10, while the Separating layer 24 completely dissolves and thus the carrier film 22 from the metallic Active layer 14 is separated. After embossing, the metallic active layer thus forms 14 the outermost layer of the coating, on which then the color layer 16, as already with Described with reference to Figure 1, is applied.
- the layer sequence shown in FIG. 2 can be used as the front plate of a not shown inexpensive advertising element can be used, inside of which, for example, a Light source is arranged around letters, ornaments and the like, for the purpose of advertising, to be presented with clear contours.
- the coating comes with the light source switched off in plan view, while the light source is switched on Coating in transparency comes into effect.

Abstract
Description
im wesentlichen nur die metallische Wirkschicht in den nicht von der Abdeckschicht abgedeckten Bereichen weggeätzt wird.
- Schutzlackierung für die metallische Wirkschicht, um eine Oxidation der metallischen Wirkschicht und somit Veränderung der Farbe derselben langfristig zu verhindern;
- Abdeckschicht bzw.
