- Known wiper bearings of this type have a shaft which is seated in a bearing fixed to the frame and which transmits an oscillating movement generated by an electromotive drive via a crank drive to a wiper arm and thus to a wiper blade resting on a disc. Since the windshields often have considerably different radii of curvature within the pendulum area of the wiper, particularly in newer motor vehicles, the alignment of the wiper blade to the surface of the window, which should be as perpendicular to the window as possible to ensure a towing movement, is not always optimally achievable. It has therefore already been proposed to align the axis of the wiper shaft at a certain angle relative to the surface of the window. A vertical alignment of the wiper blade is thus achieved at least for a central area. However, the alignment of the wiper blade over the entire wiping area remains unsatisfactory.
- the wiper bearing with the features of the main claim has the advantage that the alignment of the wiper blade to the window surface is made possible over a much larger area of the wiper field. For example, it is possible to set optimal conditions in both reversal positions or in one reversal position and one park position or in an area near the reversal positions by appropriate alignment of the first or second axis.
