Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Betrieb von auf einer Strecke (S) hintereinander fahrenden Schienenfahrzeugen (SFZ1, SFZ2) angegeben, durch das sich die Kapazität der Strecke deutlich erhöhen läßt. Erfindungsgemäß halten die Schienenfahrzeuge zueinander den sog. relativen Bremswegabstand (RBWA) ein. Um kurze Reaktionszeiten zu gewährleisten, kommunizieren unmittelbar folgende Schienenfahrzeuge drahtlos und direkt, d. h. ohne Mitwirkung eines weiteren Kommunikationspartners, miteinander. Eine Zugsteuerzentrale (ZSZ) teilt den Schienenfahrzeugen mit, ob und welche Schienenfahrzeuge sich in ihrer unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft befinden, so daß diese selbsttätig eine Kommunikationsverbindung (DDKV) aufbauen können.
Vorzugsweise handelt es sich bei den Schienenfahrzeugen um kurze, einen automatischen fahrerlosen Betrieb ermöglichende Transporteinheiten.
