Bread cutter with two counter-oscillating drivable knife gratings (4v, 4h), each having a plurality of knives (5) extending parallel to and at a distance from each other, through which a bread loaf to be sliced may be passed and thereby cut into slices, whereby each knife grating (4v, 4h) has a grating frame (7v, 7h), connected at one side to at least one drive apparatus (9) and at an opposing side to a guide apparatus (14h, 14v), characterised in that the grating frames (7v, 7h) are each linkable by means of at least one tensioning rod (22), actuatable on the side of the respective grating frame (7v, 7h) opposite the drive apparatus, to the drive apparatus and each is removable as a whole from the bread cutter (1).
  2. Bread cutter according to Claim 1, characterised in that each grating frame (7v, 7h) has two tensioning rods (22), guided through two hollow profiles running in the longitudinal direction of the knives (5) on opposing sides of the grating frames (7v, 7h).
  3. Bread cutter according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the grating frames (7v, 7h) are each tensionable by means of at least one tensioning rod (22) between the drive apparatus and the guide apparatus.
  4. Bread cutter according to Claim 3, characterised in that the tensioning rods (22) are subjected to tensile stress in the installed condition of the grating frames (7v, 7h).
  5. Bread cutter according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterised in that between two drive rockers (9) of the drive apparatus extends a transverse rod (24) rotatably mounted within it, with which the tensioning rods (22) are linkable.
  6. Bread cutter according to Claim 5, characterised in that the tensioning rods (22) are provided at one end with a hand grip (21) and at the opposing end with an external thread which may be screwed into a corresponding threaded bore in a disk (25) linked to the transverse rod (24).
  7. Bread cutter according to Claim 5 or 6, characterised in that the transverse rod (24) engages, in the tensioned condition of the associated grating frame (7v, 7h), in an adapted recess (23) in the front face turned towards it of a profile piece (17) of the grating frame (7v, 7h).
  8. Bread cutter according to Claim 6 or 7, characterised in that the disks (25) are provided on their front faces with two projections which on approach of the transverse rod (24) to the wall of the recess (23) in conjunction with the front face of the profile piece (17) facing it of the grating frame (7v, 7h) effect a rotation of the disk (25) about the longitudinal axis of the transverse rod (24), such that the central axis of the threaded bore runs parallel to the central axis of the tensioning rods (20) in the tensioned condition.
  9. Bread cutter according to one of the claims 4 to 8, characterised in that, in the profile piece (17), a metal guide sheet (26) provided with a bore for feeding through the tensioning rod (22) is provided.
  10. Bread cutter according to Claim 9, characterised in that the tensioning rods (22) each have at least one stop member projecting outwards radially beyond their jacket which on lifting of the grating frame (7v, 7h) with the hand grips (21) rests on the side of the metal guide sheet (26) facing away from the hand grips (21).
  11. Bread cutter according to one of the claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the grating frame (7v, 7h) is made of light metal profile pieces (17, 18).
