Abstract

The bag has two faces (1a,1b) which are connected to each other around their edges with the exception of an open area. Each face has a sleeve (5) in which a sliding band (6) is arranged and a joint (7) that allows the sliding band to be gripped. In the middle part of the open area a cut out (8a,8b) is arranged in each face of the bag. The cut outs are of sufficient size to allow the hand of the user to transport the bag.

Description

The present invention relates to a bag, in particular in plastic material, which can be used, on the one hand, for the transport of miscellaneous products and, secondly, after the transport function has completed, for the collection of household waste and garbage.

We know that many large sales areas, below designated by the generic term "supermarkets", distribute free of charge to their customers, at the checkout, fine plastic allowing the transport of products that have been purchased in the supermarket. Customers may collect a number of bags greater than the minimum number that would be required for the transportation of purchased goods. All these bags called "bags out of box "unfortunately are often found in nature driven by the wind. The bad brand image linked to this type of pollution by the bags "checkout" has already brought some chains of supermarkets to remove the free supply of these bags by the replacing by a paid supply of more solid bags likely to be reused many times by the user.

We also know that, now very widespread in industrialized countries, individuals store their household garbage in plastic bags. These bags are made of relatively strong plastic sheets for prevent the various detritus from tearing them apart. Among these bags, generically designated below under the term "trash bags", a particular category has emerged, namely trash bags with sliding links. These bags feature, on both sides and other than their opening area, links formed by bands of plastic material capable of sliding in sheaths. Each sheath has at least one recess, which allows to grasp the link correspondent; the user can therefore enter the two links and, by pulling, it ensures the closure of the trash bag. This type of bag says "with links "can hardly be used as a carrying bag given that the sliding link, when pulled to close the bag, has a length such as the grip of the bag by its drawn sliding links would cause the bag to drag on the ground, if the user carries it with a arms in vertical position.

We also know that regulations environmental causes the rapid development of collections selective litter. According to this technique, we ask users to separate the paper, glass, plastics, metals and other so-called waste "organic waste".

We know from document FR-A-2 309 419 in a conforming bag in the preamble to claim 1. However, the openings for fingers are formed in tear-away handles away from the hems from the bag. Document US-A-3,543,999 shows bags with localized reinforcements in the vicinity of the cutouts.

The present invention aims to describe a bag likely to be used, on the one hand, for the transport of products in replacement of "checkout" bags and, on the other hand, for packaging of household waste, in particular that which does not do not emit a strong odor, such as paper, glass and plastics. The bag according to the invention has the advantage of allowing the removal of checkout bags, without requiring users to buy a specific bag for transport, since the bag according to the invention may be used later as a trash bag, which the user needs, anyway.

An object of the invention is to improve the resistance of the bag, considered as a transport bag, at the cutouts of the handles that may tear.

La présente invention a, en conséquence, pour objet un sac selon la revendication 1.The present invention therefore relates to a bag according to claim 1.

We can predict that the dimples associated with the links sliding and their central parts distant from each other by a length substantially equal to half the perimeter of the two opening zones on both sides of the bag.

In a first embodiment, the sliding links of the two faces are connected to each other by their ends and each sheath has a recess at each of its ends to reveal the interconnected ends of the links sliding; in another embodiment, each sliding link has its ends secured to the sheath, where it is arranged, a recess being provided in the middle part of each sheath. In fact, the positioning, on each side of the bag, of the recesses associated with each of the sliding links is of utter importance secondary because the function of the kisses, namely the possibility of grip of a sliding link, is fulfilled as soon as the removal exist. Nevertheless, it is preferred that the recesses have, along the opening of the bag, a relative position such as the distance between the central parts of the footprints is substantially equal to half of the perimeter formed by the two opening zones of the two faces from the bag. The sliding links can be made of plastic and the joining of their ends is then carried out by welding; we can provide that the sheaths are removed from the side opposite the longitudinal weld of the fold.

In a variant, the fold corresponding to each sheath has a skirt, which extends said fold beyond its weld longitudinal delimiting the sheath, and which, possibly, can be welded along its free end to the corresponding face; each cut can be provided at the skirt, both in one side of the bag and in said skirt.

Preferably, the cutouts have their central parts which, relative to each other, are, when the bag is open and moves along the periphery of the bag opening, substantially half to half the length of the established perimeter by the two opening zones of the faces of the bag; the planned cuts in both sides are facing each other and on the same outline; the two faces can have a common plane of symmetry and the cutouts are preferably provided at the right of the middle part of the opening area of each face, said cuts being able to have a substantially symmetrical contour with respect to said plane of symmetry.

According to a first embodiment, the cuts are simply delimited by a precut line allowing the user can easily open the cutout to ensure the first carrying the bag. According to another embodiment, the cutouts are open by removing the part delimited by their outline.

We prefer that the cutting of each side is entirely provided on the side of the sheath, which is opposite the free edge of the zone opening, so that said cut does not encroach on the sheath of said face but is nevertheless in the immediate vicinity of said sheath.

The bag according to the invention has a bottom which, when the bag is in use, may have the shape of a dihedral or may be a bottom dish ; the sides of the bag can be substantially rectangular, the border of said faces, which is opposite to the opening area and corresponds to the bottom of the bag, which may include a fold which connects between they both sides.

With the bag according to the invention, which has just been defined, the user can transport goods without difficulty since he can grab the bag by engaging a hand in the cutouts provided below the sheaths of the sliding links, so that the bag does not drag on the ground since its height below the cutout is less than the distance from the hand to the ground for a vertical position of the user's arm. It should be noted that in such transport, the sliding links contribute to the resistance of the bag since the cuts at which the load is transferred to the plastic are located just below the sliding links, so that the efforts are transferred by the sliding links on the side parts of the bag, which greatly contributes to the strength of the bag considered as a transport bag.

In the case where the cuts are provided in an area where exists a skirt extending the fold forming a sheath and in case the free longitudinal edge of the skirt is welded to one side of the bag, the area grip in the cutouts is a reinforced area since each side of the bag is lined by the skirt; the presence of this double thickness improves the mechanical resistance of the bag at the cutout and to prevent the bag from tearing in border of cutouts while transferring the loads over the entire width of the bag thanks to the two longitudinal welds which border the skirt. he it is possible to provide that the outline of each cut is bordered by a weld to improve the tear resistance at the edge of cutting; in such a case, if necessary, provision can be made for the area between the skirt and the corresponding side of the bag, between the two longitudinal welds which delimit the skirt, communicate with the exterior by at least one perforation allowing the passage of air.

Insofar as the bag according to the invention is used for store waste consisting of paper, glass, or plastic, it it is clear that the existence of the openings, which constitute the cutouts, has no disadvantages.

To better understand the object of the invention, we will describe it now, as a purely illustrative example and not limiting, an embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing.

Sur ce dessin :

  • la figure 1 représente, en perspective, un sac selon l'invention, en position ouverte ;
  • la figure 2 représente une coupe selon II-II de la figure 1;
  • la figure 3 représente, en élévation, un sac selon une variante des figures 1 et 2, sac dans lequel on a prévu une jupe prolongeant le repli de chaque face ;
On this drawing :
  • Figure 1 shows, in perspective, a bag according to the invention, in the open position;
  • Figure 2 shows a section on II-II of Figure 1;
  • 3 shows, in elevation, a bag according to a variant of Figures 1 and 2, bag in which there is provided a skirt extending the fold of each face;
  • FIG. 4 represents a partial section along IV-IV of FIG. 3.

It is seen that the bag according to the invention consists of two substantially parallel faces 1 a, 1 b rectangular; the faces 1a, 1b are constituted by a single plastic sheet which is folded to form the bottom 1c of the bag; this bottom 1 c is rounded up when the bag is in carrying position, as shown in the drawing, but in the storage position, the faces 1a, 1b are brought against one another and are connected to bottom level by a flat fold. At their side edges, the faces 1a and 1b are interconnected by welds 2. On the opposite side to the bottom 1 c, the periphery of the bag comprises, on each face 1 a, 1 b, an opening area 1 d , along which a fold 3 has been provided, the end of which is welded to the corresponding face in a longitudinal weld 4.

The welded fold 3 internally defines a duct 5 inside which is disposed a slider 6 consisting of a plastic web link, usually a color different from the color of the sheet constituting the faces 1a, 1b. The sliding link 6 is accessible from the outside thanks to a recess 7 made in the walls of each sheath 5, along the free edge of the opening area 1 d of the bag. Each recess is obtained by cutting, in a semi-circular shape, the two walls of each fold 3. The two recesses 7 are arranged opposite one another symmetrically with respect to the plane of symmetry of the bag , plane which is visualized in FIG. 1 by the line II-II and which is parallel to the two lateral welds 2 of the bag.

Below the weld lines 4 of the folds 3, cuts 8 a , 8 b of oblong shape and of sufficient size were made in each of the faces 1 a and 1 b of the bag. cuts. The cuts 8 a , 8 b made respectively in the faces 1 a , 1 b are arranged opposite one another and are symmetrical with respect to the plane of symmetry identified by II-II in FIG. 1 The cutouts 8 a , 8 b are therefore located below the recesses 7 and they are arranged so as not to encroach on the sheaths 5 and to be just below the welds 4 of the sheaths 5. In a variant, one could provide that the cuts 8 a , 8 b , instead of being made by ablation of the sheet part defined by the outline of the cuts, are made by a simple dotted pre-cutting of the faces 1 a , 1 b , the opening of the cutouts then being made when the user wants to pass his hand through the cutouts 8 a , 8 b to ensure the porting of the bag.

When the bag according to the invention is used for carrying products, the user, after having placed the products inside the bag, passes his hand through the cutouts 8 a , 8 b and with this hand supports the weight products placed in the bag. The porting force is therefore exerted at the cutouts 8, 8b, but is recaptured by the weld lines 4 and the drawstring 6, so that the strength of the bag is considerably improved compared to the one one could have expected with the simple resistance of the plastic sheet constituting the faces 1 a and 1 b .

When the carrying function is completed and the user wants to use this bag as a trash bag, it suffices, when the bag is filled with waste, to pull the sliding links 6 from the recesses 7 to ensure the closure of the bag, as is well known, with the existing drawstring bags. The presence of the openings formed by the cutouts 8, 8b does not matter when conditioned waste in the trash bag are intended for selective collection and consist, for example, paper, glasses or plastics, or when the bag is not full.

Referring now to Figures 3 and 4, it is seen that there is illustrated a bag in which the opening region of each face, such as 11a, has a sheath 15 within which is disposed a link sliding 16. The two sides of the bag are identical and connected to each other by welded side edges 20, only the side 11 a being shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. Each sheath 15 contains a sliding link 16 made of material plastic welded at its two ends at the welds 20; each sheath has, in its middle part, a recess 17 similar to the recess 7. The fold 13, which constitutes the sheath 15, is welded according to a longitudinal weld 14 but is extended beyond this weld by a skirt 130, the longitudinal end edge of which is welded to the corresponding face of the bag in a longitudinal weld 140. In the zone between the two longitudinal welds 14 and 140, each face of the bag is therefore made up of two superimposed sheets of plastic, and in this area we made the cuts allowing the bag to be carried.

In the drawing, there is shown the blank 18 is provided in the face 11a and, as the same contour, the cut 180 is provided in the skirt 130, the two cutouts 18 a and 180 a being exactly vis-à-vis one from the other ; the same type of cut is made in the other face of the bag, exactly vis-à-vis the cutouts 18 a, 180 a. It may, where appropriate, include to improve the resistance of the edge of the cutouts 18a, 180 a, which is welded to the face 11 and the skirt 130 along the contour of the cut-outs 18 a, 180 a; such welding around the cutouts reduces the risk of tearing from the cutout when carrying the bag by hand. On the other hand, the existence of a double thickness in the area where are formed the recesses 18 a, 180 a allows to improve the resistance of the material constituting the faces, and the carry loads over the entire width of the bag is further improved by the presence of weld 140.

When the carrying function is completed for this variant, the use of the bag as a trash bag is carried out as indicated for the embodiment of FIGS. 1 and 2.
