Definitions
- the invention relates to a rivet setting tool with an electrically operated Drive motor, which has a motor shaft, with a rivet setting device and with a gear between the drive motor and rivet setting device, the Rotational movement of the drive shaft for driving the rivet setting device in Linear motion translated.
- Such a rivet setting tool is e.g. known from EP-A-0 527 414.
- Rivet setting tools in which the gear is usually by a ball screw large rivet setting forces can be realized.
- To one To be able to carry out riveting is a blind rivet in a known manner inserted into a mouthpiece of the rivet setting device.
- the rivet pin is known in the setting device by the ball screw drive Drawn in the longitudinal direction in the rivet sleeve and then tears from.
- the ball screw drive of the rivet setting device With the ball screw drive of the rivet setting device, the required Generate movement in the longitudinal direction of the rivet pin. After setting the The direction of rotation of the motor is changed to the setting device to bring the ball screw drive back to its starting position.
- the high energy consumption proves to be disadvantageous for rivet setting tools. Since such rivet setting tools usually have a rechargeable battery low energy consumption is of particular importance, to thereby extend the possible insertion time of the rivet setting tool.
- the object of the invention is therefore the energy consumption of a rivet setting tool of the type mentioned at the beginning.
- the object is achieved in that at least one Flywheel is provided, which is releasable via a clutch with the motor shaft or a transmission shaft of the transmission is connectable.
- Rivet setting tools to carry the energy stored in the flywheel of the rivet setting process can be used. This allows the Significantly reduce energy consumption.
- the flywheel can be used for this to accelerate the motor start after each rivet setting process or also about the force peaks during the rivet setting process and thereby to reduce the resulting voltage peaks for the motor. This is particularly so an advantage when using the rivet setting tool continuously.
- the flywheel turns between the individual rivet setting processes and is from the motor shaft decoupled. At the beginning of the rivet setting process, the flywheel and the motor shaft connected to each other via a coupling. That way use the energy of the flywheel.
- a flywheel for a rivet setting tool with a ball screw drive Since to return the rivet setting device after Rivet setting process of the motor in reverse to the rivet setting process Direction must be operated during this period the flywheel from Motor decoupled. The flywheel thus maintains its direction of rotation.
- the flywheel can also be connected to a transmission shaft of the transmission be coupled in an analogous manner.
- Rivet setting tools, the z. B. a ball screw have a constant gear ratio between the motor shaft and rivet setting device. In principle, however, it is also conceivable for the invention to use in such rivet setting tools in which the gearbox through a crank mechanism is formed.
- the flywheel can and motor shaft, a transmission with a transmission ratio can be provided such that the speed of the flywheel is greater than the speed of the motor shaft is. This allows smaller flywheels with the same momentum Arrange in the rivet setting tool. This also allows the undesirable Torque around the flywheel axis when the flywheel starts up to reduce.
- the transmission ratio is selected in this way is that the speed of the flywheel is about twice the speed the motor shaft is.
- the clutch can be a non-positive Clutch, preferably friction clutch, be formed.
- the clutch can be actuated electromagnetically is. Such a coupling can be easily implemented.
- the coupling can also be used as a positive coupling, preferably Claw clutch, be formed. This makes it particularly robust Realize coupling.
- a brake can be provided with which the flywheel can be braked. This can cause an undesirable Avoid long running of the flywheel. That brake can e.g. by a switch located in the housing of the rivet setting tool be operated by the operator.
- the flywheel can Charging a rechargeable battery of the rivet setting tool with the motor can be coupled to operate the motor as a generator. This allows Reduce the power consumption of the rivet setting tool.
- the invention is a method for operating a Claimed rivet setting device, in which during the setting stroke of the rivet setting device the flywheel is coupled to the motor shaft and during the return stroke the rivet setting device is decoupled from the motor. This allows the Significant energy consumption for setting the rivet, especially during continuous operation belittle.
- the flywheel is coupled to the motor shaft of the drive motor to operate the drive motor as a generator. This allows the through power generated by the generator e.g. fed to a rechargeable battery to allow you to work longer with the rechargeable battery.
