Definitions
- the invention relates to an HF rotary coupling consisting of one fixed and one rotatable in it Assembly, with a first coaxial line, the central axis is equal to the axis of rotation of the rotary coupling, with a second coaxial line in the form of a line section, the the inner conductor is the outer conductor of the first coaxial line has and the ends in the fixed and the rotatable Module designed as transitions to a waveguide are, the inner and outer conductors of the first and the second coaxial line between the fixed and the rotatable assembly without contact via ⁇ / 4-chokes HF-like are connected.
- a swivel coupling of this type is from a widespread 1992 SIVERS IMA brochure, pages 10A and 11A, known. It is a two-channel rotary coupling. Each of the two channels can be on one or also several frequency bands can be operated. Usually such RF rotary couplings are used to connect radar or Communication transmitter / receiver with rotating or at least waving antennas. Via the channels - frequency-dependent - continuous wave power up to a few 10 KW and pulse power transmitted into the megawatt range become.
- the invention has for its object an HF rotary coupling the genus mentioned at the beginning with at least one to provide the third RF channel.
- At least a third, flexible coaxial line as a cable in a helically surrounding the rotary axis of the rotary coupling, trained in the jacket of the fixed assembly Channel is arranged approximately rectangular cross-section, and that the length of the coaxial cable is such that in a predetermined position of the movable assembly to the fixed assembly the coils of the coaxial cable hover about halfway down the canal.
- This solution limits the angle of rotation of the rotatable Assembly, starting from a defined position opposite the fixed assembly, e.g. ⁇ 360 ° on but the advantage of not increasing the size significantly due to the installation situation of limited diameter of the rotary coupling to provide at least a third RF channel.
- the helical channel in the jacket of the fixed one Construction group that the turns of e.g. third, flexible coaxial line is not during the alternating directions of rotation of the rotatable Able to stack the assembly.
- the inherent elasticity of the Flexible coaxial line ensures that this is in the zero position of the rotary coupling again to about sets half the depth of the helical channel.
- the two cables can e.g. through a radial separator separately or connected in the manner of a wiring harness so as their necessary freedom of movement in the course of the pivoting rotary movements of the rotatable assembly to keep.
- the radial depth of the helical channel at least about that Double the diameter of the coaxial cable (claim 2).
- the third coaxial line is without disassembling the rotary coupling removable if this is the third coaxial line forming cables at both ends of flying connectors has (claim 3).
- the helical channel is preferably located below one sleeve surrounding the shell of the fixed assembly (Claim 4) and is therefore against the ingress of moisture and foreign bodies are protected.
- the sleeve can be designed in this way be that they can also be dismantled without Pull the rotary coupling off.
- the rotary coupling comprises a fixed assembly 1 and a rotatable assembly 2. Its axis of rotation is simultaneous the central axis of the rotary coupling shown in broken lines.
- the fixed assembly 1 has an annular flange 1a and the rotatable assembly 2 has an annular flange 2a.
- the fixed assembly 1 comprises an inner, long pipe section 11 and coaxially enclosing the latter, short pipe section 12.
- the rotatable assembly 2 includes an inner, short tube section 21 and one of these coaxially enclosing, long tube section 22.
- the rotatable assembly 2 over Rolling bearings 40, 41 and 42 mounted and via a profile sealing ring 43 sealed out.
- a first channel I is designed as a coaxial line, which runs in the axis of rotation of the rotary coupling and comprises an inner conductor I 1 in the fixed assembly 1 and an inner conductor I 2 in the rotatable assembly 2.
- the inner conductors I 1 and I 2 are electrically connected to one another at I 3 in a manner known per se via a ⁇ / 4 choke without mechanical contact.
- Insulating material supports I 4 and I 5 are used for the central mounting of the inner conductors I 1 and I 2 in the respective bores of the fixed assembly 1 and the rotatable assembly 2.
- the outer conductor of the coaxial line forming the channel I consists of the tube section 11 of the assemblies 1 and a short tube section 23 of the assembly 2. These parts are also electrically connected in a manner known per se without mechanical contact via a ⁇ / 4 choke I 6 .
- the coaxial line forming channel I is provided at both ends with coaxial connectors I 8 and I 9 .
- a second RF channel II is formed in the area of the rotary coupling as a second coaxial line in the form of a line section which, as the inner conductor, has the inner tube section 11 of the fixed assembly 1, which forms the first section of the outer conductor of the first coaxial line.
- the outer conductor of this second coaxial line is formed by the second, short tube section 12 of the fixed assembly 1 and the inner short tube section 21 of the rotatable assembly 2, which is immersed in this contactlessly. In their overlap region, these tube sections 12 and 21 are constructed as ⁇ / 4 chokes.
- the ends of the second coaxial line in the modules 1 and 2 are designed as transforming transitions II 1 and II 2 on waveguides II 3 and II 4 .
- a third RF channel III consists of a flexible coaxial cable III 1 , which is inserted into a helical or helical channel III 2 provided in the outer circumference of the fixed assembly 1.
- the channel has a substantially rectangular cross section.
- the channel depth is approximately twice the diameter of the coaxial cable III 1 .
- the channel III 2 is covered by a cylindrical sleeve III 4 , which is screwed to the flange 1 a of the fixed assembly 1.
- the coaxial line III 1 is provided at both ends with conventional coaxial connectors III 5 and III 6 . These coaxial connectors are fastened in corresponding radial slots in the flanges 1a and 2a, but could also be arranged on the fly. This arrangement of the two connectors and the easily removable attachment of the sleeve III 4 ensures easy accessibility and interchangeability of the coaxial cable III 1 .
- the length of the coaxial cable III 1 is such that the turns of the coaxial cable III 1 float approximately in the middle of the depth of the channel III 2 when the movable assembly 2 is in a predetermined zero or middle position relative to the fixed assembly 1. From this position, the movable assembly 2 can be rotated relative to the fixed assembly 1 in both directions of rotation by a predetermined maximum angle until in one direction of rotation the turns of the coaxial cable lie on the bottom of the channel or in the other direction of rotation lie against the inside of the sleeve . In order to avoid overloading the coaxial cable, the angle of rotation in both directions is limited to, for example, ⁇ 360 ° by suitable stops, not shown.
