Sweeping device for a utility vehicle with a frame structure, comprising at least two sweepers (1, 2), the height of which is adjustable in relation to the surface swept and articulated with one another by means of a parallelogram structure and able to be fitted under the vehicle's frame, a first sweeper (1) being placed at the rear in the vehicle's direction of travel, in the vicinity of the suction means and fixed in position after being adjusted, and a second mobile sweeper (2) parallel to the ground being placed at the front of the previous one, each sweeper (1, 2) being made up of a rotary brush respectively (10, 20) fixed along an axis respectively (3, 13) significantly perpendicular to the ground, the brush (10) of the first sweeper (1) being connected by a joint (18) to a first parallelogram (19) controlling the lateral inclination of the sweepers (1, 2) by means of two arms (17', 17»), and the brush (20) of the second mobile sweeper (2) being driven by an axis motor (23),
    characterised in that
    the brush (20) of the second sweeper (2) is arranged on a structure comprised of a transversal arm (26) mounted at one of its ends on the axis (23) of the motor driving said brush (20) of the second sweeper (2) and a second parallelogram (27) articulated along an axis (28) on the other end of said transversal arm (26) and co-operating with a jack (14) connected to the brush (10) of the first sweeper (1), said jack (14) being combined with means for folding away, comprising a gas stud (30) connecting the axis (23) of the motor driving the brush (20) of the second sweeper (2) to the joint (18) of the brush (10) of the first sweeper (1).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises two identical sets, respectively (1, 2) and (1', 2'), of two sweepers, arranged symmetrically on either side of the vehicle's longitudinal axis.
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the gas stud (30) operates under very low control pressure, so that in the event of an impact, the brush (20) of the second sweeper (2) pushes the jack (14) onto the arm (26) whilst folding against the brush (10) of the first sweeper (1).
  4. Device according to one of the previous claims, characterised in that the brush (20) of the second sweeper (2) can be redeployed outwards by means of the jack (14).
