Definitions
- the present invention relates to an improvement for snowshoe designed in particular to improve the comfort of walking snowshoeing, as well as the grip of it in certain types of snow.
- Snowshoes are gear known since very many years because used for centuries by the Scandinavian populations to move on the snow. Until our days, snowshoes were used for utilitarian or military purposes, to allow people and alpine troops to move on the snow for their movements necessitated by everyday life. Currently, snowshoes are used by athletes who go on hikes and walks, or even competitions. But the sportsmen, although practicing for their pleasure, are more and more demanding for the material they use, and it is true that the products currently sold are not entirely satisfactory.
- snowshoes must combine criteria of grip and lift, while maintaining maximum comfort for their users.
- lift of the racket necessary to allow a pleasant walk may be different.
- the most suitable general shape of the racket can also be different. As a result, each racket is generally good for some snow and slope conditions and is often less performing for other conditions.
- the criterion of attachment is a preponderant criterion for snowshoes, and snowshoes of the prior art exhibit disadvantages in some types of snow related to their lack hanging, especially in the longitudinal and transverse direction.
- the present invention aims to overcome the disadvantages with simple, reliable, inexpensive and effective means.
- the snowshoe, according to the invention aims to improve the grip of it in any type of snow, so as to increase the comfort of walking for his user.
- she has two longitudinal gripping walls disposed laterally and forming the lateral edges of the peripheral frame, said edges sides each having a height shrink in their area respective median.
- the narrowing height of the lateral edges of the peripheral frame are arranged symmetrically with respect to the median longitudinal plane of the racket.
- the racket to snow comprises at least one longitudinal wall inside hook arranged under the sieve delimited by the frame device, said inner wall having at least one shrinkage in height in its median zone.
- the snowshoe has two inner longitudinal walls, each of the inner walls hooks symmetrically with respect to the plane medial length, two narrowing in height separated by a wall widening.
- the position of narrowing (s) in height of the inner longitudinal wall is offset longitudinally from the position of the narrowing in height of the walls of attachment lateral.
- the position of the wall widening of the inner walls is shifted longitudinally forward of the racket relative to that of the narrowing of the lateral attachment walls.
- shrinkage in height is obtained by varying longitudinally in relation to the horizontal plane of the sieve the inclination and / or the curvature of the lower edge of the wall (s) of attachment longitudinal (s).
- the ratio between the narrowing height and the respective maximum height measured in the front or rear part of the hanging wall is between 0.1 and 0.9.
- the snowshoe designated under the general reference (1) is type having a peripheral frame (2) defining a sieve (4) intended to support the attachment (5) in which the shoe will be retained (6) of the user.
- the screen (4) is advantageously constituted by a perforated plate, for example, but could also be constituted by canvas or straps to provide the necessary lift for the snowshoe (1).
- the snowshoe according to the invention comprises a set of longitudinal hooking walls (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b) which extend downward (BA) substantially vertically below the plane horizontal (H) of the sieve (4). Said walls can for example constitute the lateral edges (3a, 3b) of the peripheral frame as the FIGS.
- the longitudinal walls (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b) present in the central zone (B) of the snowshoe a shrinkage in height (100) of its vertical wall by relative to the front part (7a) and to the rear part (7b) of said area, the middle zone being the one situated longitudinally at the level of the zone occupied by the shoe (6) of the user.
- the latter has a longitudinal plane of symmetry (P) and has two hanging walls that form the edges sides (3a, 3b) of the peripheral frame (2), as shown in FIGS. at 3c.
- the lateral attachment walls (3a, 3b) each have a shrinkage in height (100) in their median zone (B), said shrinkage being identical and arranged symmetrically with respect in the plane (P).
- shrinkage in height could be arranged differently, so the snowshoe could by example present an asymmetrical shape without leaving the claimed protection fields.
- the constrictions (100) are advantageously obtained by longitudinally varying the inclination and / or curvature of the lower edge (60) of the longitudinal attachment walls (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b) relative to the horizontal plane (H), the upper edge (61) being parallel to or coincident with said plane.
- the ridge upper section (61) could also have an inclination or curvature relative to the horizontal plane (H) without leaving the protection field of the invention, the curvature of the upper edge which can be oriented in the same way as that of the lower edge, but of lesser amplitude or reversed orientation and this of in order to obtain, whatever the orientation of the curvature chosen, the shrinkage in desired height.
- the shrinking (100) in height of the side walls (3a, 3b) of the frame (2) is advantageously located substantially in the central portion of the middle zone (B).
- narrowing (100) advantageously has a curved shape on one or both edges (60, 61) of the walls (3a, 3b).
- Shrinkage (100) could also according to a variant shown in Figure 7 be obtained with two straight and sloping lower edge portions (60) forming a angle (A) open down between them.
- the snowshoe (1) has a narrowing (100a, 100b) on each of its lateral edges (3a, 3b) whose positioning longitudinal axis is asymmetrical with respect to the plane (P), as shown Figure 6.
- the two rackets of the same pair may be identical and possess the narrowing of the right lateral edge in front of the narrowing of the left lateral edge, by example.
- the narrowing could be reversed, a racket being provided for the left foot and the other specifically for the right foot, means of identification being then planned to allow to differentiate them.
- these snowshoes could have an asymmetrical profile for example.
- the snowshoe snow could only have one narrowing in height (100) located on a lateral edge (3a) of the frame (2).
- the sieve (4) extends laterally beyond the lateral edges (3a, 3b) of the peripheral frame (2) contrary to the first mode of embodiment illustrated in FIGS. 3a to 3c, where the lateral edges (3a, 3b) of the frame (2) form the sieve boundary (4). It goes without saying that it could be even in the other embodiments of the snowshoe according to the invention.
- this advantageously comprises longitudinal interior hanging walls (50a, 50b) extending under the sieve (4) substantially vertically.
- These hanging walls (50a, 50b) are advantageously two in number and are arranged on either side of the general plane of symmetry (P) substantially in line with the side edges of the user's shoe (6), and more precisely in line with the edges of an articulated plate (63) intended to wear the retaining means (MR) of the shoe (6) of the user.
- the lateral attachment walls (3a, 3b) which form the edges of the frame (2), as well as the two walls hooks (50a, 50b) each have at least one shrinkage in height (100a, 100b, 100c, 100d, 100th, 100f).
- the walls lateral portions (3a, 3b) symmetrically have a narrowing (100a, 100b) located longitudinally substantially in the center of the median zone (B), as shown in Figure 9.
- the interior hanging walls (50a, 50b) each have two height restrictions (100c, 100d, 100e, 100f) arranged successively in the central zone (B) and separated from each other by a wall widening (200a, 200b), such as the show Figures 9, 10a to 10f.
- the longitudinal position of the narrowing (100c, 100d, 100th, 100f) inner hanging walls (50a, 50b) is offset relative to to that of central narrowing (100a, 100b) of the side walls (3a, 3b) forming the frame (2).
- the central strictures (100a, 100b) have a longitudinal position which corresponds substantially to the position of the wall widening (200a, 200b) of the inner walls. Note, however, that this enlargement of the wall is advantageously located slightly forward (AV) of the snowshoe, compared to the position of central narrowing (100a, 100b) as illustrated by Figures 10c and 10d.
- the walls indoor hangers might have a different configuration and have only one narrowing of which the longitudinal position would correspond or be offset from that of the narrowing central side walls.
- the lateral attachment walls forming the frame could very well show no shrinkage in height and only the inner longitudinal walls would be provided of this type of shrinkage.
- the number of walls grip and their shrinkage number could also be very different without departing from the protective field of the invention.
- the snowshoe according to the invention, it is of the type described in the patent application French Patent No. 95 03088 of the Applicant, its lateral attachment walls (3a, 3b) having a transverse narrowing (250) of their spacing respective (d) in the middle zone (B) occupied by the shoe (6) of the user.
- the longitudinal position of this transverse narrowing (250) advantageously corresponds to that of shrinkage in height (100a, 100b) of the hanging side walls (3a, 3b) forming the peripheral frame (2), the widening (200a, 200b) interior hanging walls being slightly shifted forward snowshoeing.
- the shrinkage in height (100a, 100b, 100c, 100d, 100th, 100f) are obtained by varying the curvature of the lower edge (60) of the walls longitudinal hooks (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b).
- shrinkage in height (100c, 100d, 100th, 100f) hanging walls are obtained thanks to a greater variation of the curvature of their lower edge with respect to that of the curvature of side walls, the slope of their lower edge (60) being thus more important.
- the longitudinal attachment walls (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b) have a lower edge (60) whose shape is rounded over the whole of the median zone (B), said walls do not thus having no straight edge portion.
- the height (h1) of shrinkage (100c, 100d, 100th, 100f) of the interior walls is identical and is substantially equal to half the height (h2) of the enlargements (200a, 200b), however it could be higher or lower than this without departing from the protective field of the invention.
- the height of said inner walls is advantageously between 0.5 cm and 3 cm.
- the height (h3) narrowing (100a, 100b) of the lateral hooking walls (3a, 3b) is greater than the height (h1) of the narrowing (100c, 100d, 100e, 100f) of the inner walls, the height of said sidewalls being also between 0.5 cm and 3 cm along the length of the zone median (B).
- the height of the lateral hooking walls (h4) corresponding to the front narrowing (100c, 100d) of the walls interior (50a, 50b) is greater than the height (h5) of the same walls lateral (3a, 3b) measured at the rear narrowing (100th, 100f).
- the respective height (h6, h7) of the longitudinal and lateral gripping walls (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b) is identical at the front (7a) and rear (7b) ends of the middle zone (B), this height can advantageously be identical at the height (h2) of the enlargements (200a, 200b) as illustrated in the figures 10a, 10d and 10f.
- the illustrated embodiments of the snowshoe snow have longitudinal hooking walls (3a, 3b, 50a, 50b) substantially vertical.
- the side walls hook (3a, 3b) can be inclined relative to the vertical to extend for example, towards the bottom and the outside of the sieve, said walls presenting the shrinkage or narrowing in height of the invention as illustrated in FIG. 11b.
- the thickness (E) of the longitudinal attachment walls is variable.
- the variation of the thickness (E) of the walls can be due to a variation of the curvature of the internal face of the wall, of the external face or both sides.
- the thickness of the walls is longitudinally variable as shown in Figures 11a to 11c, however, the thickness of the walls could also vary transversely on the height of said walls.
- the lateral attachment walls (3a, 3b) have a narrowing in thickness located substantially at the location of shrinkage in height (100) of said walls, however it could to be otherwise and the walls could for example have a widening to this location without leaving the fields of protection of the invention.
- the snowshoe snow has longitudinal hanging walls whose profile in a transverse plane is rectilinear.
- these walls could have curved, tapered, wavy profiles or others without departing from the scope of the invention.
- the invention is illustrated on a type of racket made of plastic by injection, however, other types of snowshoes can be equipped with narrowing in height in the middle area of their frame like snowshoes having a frame and sieve in canvas or thong for example, without however, to leave the field of protection of the invention.
- the frame can be either tubular or a profile of any type, and made of aluminum or other such as plastic or composite material.
