WO 91/04197 beschreibt eine glockenförmige Schutzkappe für Druckgasflaschen aus Metall, die an der Grundseite eine Öffnung mit Schraubgewinde und eine große seitliche Öffnung mit integriertem Griff aufweist und am Kopf offen ist.
Die bekannten Schutzeinrichtungen oder Schutzkappen können nicht an der Druckgasfiasche angebracht werden, ohne daß zuvor der Druckminderer von dem Flaschenventil abgenommen werden muß. Die Befestigung der Schutzeinrichtung an einer installierten Druckgasflasche ist daher bisher nicht möglich.
Der empfindlichste Teil einer Druckgasflasche ist das Flaschenventil. Besonders bei Gebrauch der Druckgasflaschen ist das Flaschenventil weitgehend ungeschützt Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht daher in der Bereitstellung einer Schutzeinrichtung für Druckgasflaschen, wobei die mit der Druckgasflasche verbundene Schutzeinrichtung bei einem Umfallen der Druckgasflasche das Flaschenventil wirkungsvoll schützt.
Ferner wird bei Druckgasflaschen, besonders im medizinischen Anwendungsbereich, ein ansprechendes Äußeres und eine leichte und sichere Handhabbarkeit gewünscht Die Schutzeinrichtung sollte möglichst eine Einheit mit der Druckgasflasche bilden. Die Schutzeinrichtung sollte ohne großen Aufwand an der Druckgasflasche angebracht und entfernt werden können und sollte die Funktionsfähigkeit des Flaschenventils nicht beeinträchtigen.
Die Aufgabe wurde gelöst durch eine Kappe für Druckgasflaschen, die zwei miteinander verbundene Halbschalen, einen inneren Hohlraum zur Aufnahme des Flaschenventils, mindestens eine seitliche Aussparung und eine Aussparung auf der Kopfseite und eine Einrichtung zur Befestigung an der Druckgasflasche aufweist, wobei die Kappe an der mit dem Flaschenventil ausgestatteten Druckgasflasche montiert werden kann, ohne daß ein Druckminderer abgenommen oder angeschlossene Leitungen gelöst werden müssen.
Druckgasflaschen sind Druckbehälter wie übliche Druckgasflaschen, Gaskartuschen oder Druckdosen.
Das Flaschenventil dient zur Gasentnahme und zur Befüllung der Druckgasflasche, das Flaschenventil enthält im allgemeinen einen integrierten Druckminderer.
Der innere Hohlraum der Kappe ist vorteilhaft so bemessen, daß der Raum für die Aufnahme des Flaschenventils mit Druckminderer ausreicht.
Die Kappe enthält beispielsweise zwei seitliche Aussparungen für Entleerung und Befüllung der Druckgasflasche bei aufgesetzter Kappe. Die seitlichen Aussparungen sind bevorzugt von gleicher oder ähnlicher Größe und sind gegenüberliegend. Statt zwei seitlichen Aussparungen kann die Kappe auch vier seitliche Aussparungen aufweisen, die vorteilhaft symmetrisch zueinander angeordnet sind.
Die Größe der seitlichen Aussparung muß bei aufgesetzter Schutzkappe den freien Anschluß an das Ventil gewährleisten.
Die Größe der Aussparung im Kopfbereich an der Oberseite der Kappe wird so ausgelegt, daß das Handrad des Flaschenventils bei aufgesetzter Kappe der Hand zugänglich ist und betätigt werden kann.
Bevorzugt ist die Kappe so bemessen, daß die Kappe an Druckgasflaschen unterschiedlicher Größe paßt, beispielsweise an Druckgasflaschen mit 2, 5, 10 oder 20 Liter Volumen.
Die Einrichtung zur Befestigung, im folgenden Befestigungseinrichtung genannt, ist im Bodenbereich der Kappe angebracht. Die Befestigungseinrichtung ist beispielsweise ein Gewinde oder wird durch hervorstehende Ausbildungen wie Rillen oder Zähne gebildet, die in das Außengewinde am Flaschenhals einer Druckgasflasche greifen. Die Befestigungseinrichtung kann auch als Bajonettverschluß, Klemmverschluß oder Schnappverschluß ausgebildet sein, wobei ein Adapterstück auf das Flaschengewinde aufgesetzt werden kann. Auch bei einer Befestigung der Kappe mit einer gewindeartigen Befestigungseinrichtung kann ein Adapterstück zur Druckgasflasche vorteilhaft sein, z. B. bei der Befestigung der Kappe an eine Druckgasflasche mit kleinerem Flaschengewinde.
Die Befestigungeinrichtung kann auch ein Spannband oder Riemen enthalten. Das Spannband wird beispielsweise um den Boden der Druckgasflasche geführt und wird an der Kappe lösbar befestigt.
Als Befestigungseinrichtung können auch Ösen, Bänder oder Laschen an der Kappe sein, wobei an der Druckgasflasche entsprechende Gegenstücke zur Befestigung angeordnet sind.
Als Befestigungseinrichtung kann auch eine Gabel dienen, die durch Löcher in der Kappe geführt wird und am Flaschenventil greift.
Die Kappe kann als Befestigungeinrichtung auch einen durchgehenden Wulst, Rollrand oder Kragen an der Grundseite der Kappe aufweisen, die als Ansatz für ein Verbindungselement zur Gasflasche dienen. Das Verbindungselement kann aus einem Metall oder Kunststoff bestehen, beispielsweise ein Schrumpffolienschlauch. Die entsprechend ausgestattete Kappe kann auch flanschartig an der Gasflasche befestigt werden, wenn die Gasflasche ein entsprechendes Gegenstück aufweist.
Die Kappe enthält vorzugsweise eine Verdrehsicherung, eine Rollsicherung, eine Tragevorrichtung und/oder eine Aufhängevorrichtung.
Die Verdrehsicherung der Kappe dient zur Fixierung der Kappe auf der Druckgasflasche, so daß die Kappe gegenüber der Druckgasflasche nicht verdreht werden kann. Die Verdrehsicherung ist beispielsweise eine rechteckige Aussparung im Inneren der Kappe zur Aufnahme des in der Regel vorhandenen Vierkants am Flaschenventil.
Die Rollsicherung ist eine oder mehrere Ausformungen an der Kappe, die über die Gasflasche überstehen und ein Rollen der liegenden Flasche verhindert. Die Rollsicherung ist vorteilhaft im Boden- oder Sockelbereich der Kappe, das heißt an dem der Druckgasflasche am nächsten gelegenen Teil der Kappe, angebracht. Die Rollsicherung ist ein Bestandteil der Kappe, der über den Druckgasflaschenquerschnitt übersteht. Der Griff ist vorzugsweise in die Kappe integriert und ist bevorzugt beweglich, insbesondere klappbar. Der klappbare Griff ist in einer der drei Raumrichtungen drehbar gelagert Der Griff kann beispielsweise durch ein Scharnier im Kopfbereich von unten nach oben herausgekiappt werden. Der Griff kann auch im Kopfbereich als seitlich ausschwenkbares Teil ausgebildet sein. Der Griff kann auch als schiebbares Teil ausgebildet sein, z. B. als herausziehbarer Griff in Richtung der Kappenlängsachse oder senkrecht dazu.
Die bewegliche Tragevorrichtung ist vorteilhaft arretierbar. Die Arretierung kann beispielsweise durch eine Vorrichtung zum Einrasten (z.B. eine Vertiefung an der Tragevorrichtung oder Kappe, wo ein federnd angebrachtes Teil (z. B. Kugel mit Druckfeder, Federarm aus einem biegsamen Kunststoff mit Zapfen oder halbkugelförmiger Erhebung) angreift Die Arretierung kann auch durch eine Klemmvorrichtung erfolgen.
Die Aufhängevorrichtung kann beispielsweise ein Haken oder ein hakenförmiges Teil sein. Die Aufhängevorrichtung ist bevorzugt beweglich. insbesondere klappbar. Die Aufhängevorrichtung kann analog zur Tragevorrichtung aufgebaut sein, sie kann auch arretierbar sein.
Die Kappe kann auch Einrichtungen enthalten, die die Befestigung einer Aufhängevorrichtung ermöglichen, z. B. eine Aussparung, in die ein Haken greifen kann, wie Gewindelöcher, Stege oder Noppen.
Die Kappe ist bevorzugt zylindrisch aufgebaut. Der Querschnitt der Kappe (Grundfläche) kann rund, elliptisch, viereckig oder vieleckig sein. und sollte einen Durchmesser haben, der sich nicht wesentlich vom Durchmesser der Gasflasche unterscheidet. Beispielsweise liegt der Durchmesser der Kappe im Bereich von Gasflaschendurchmesser bis 10 Prozent darüber. Günstig ist, wenn die Kappe bündig mit der Gasflasche abschließt und weitgehend symmetrische Gestalt hat. Die Größe der Kappe kann variieren. Die Mindestgröße der Kappe ergibt sich daraus, daß die Kappe über das Flaschenventil gestülpt werden kann.
Vorteilhaft wird die Kappe aus zwei miteinander verbundenen Halbschalen gebildet. Die Trennung der Halbschaien verläuft vorzugsweise in einer Fläche, die die Längsachse der Kappe enthält Die Halbschalen sind vorzugsweise gleich. Die lösbare Verbindung der Halbschalen erfolgt beispielsweise durch eine Verschraubung, durch eine Steckverbindung, durch eine kombinierte Steck-/ Schraubverbindung, durch ein oder mehrere Spannbänder oder -ringe. Die Halbschalen können beispielsweise Paßstifte oder Nut/Feder (Nut- oder Federelemente) als Hilfsmittel für eine Steckverbindung enthalten. Die zusammengesteckten Halbschalen können zusätzlich mit einem Band oder Riemen oder mit einem Schrumpffolienschlauch verbunden werden.
Die Kappe kann zusätzliche Hohlräume aufweisen, die zur Aufnahme von Teilen oder Informationsunterlagen dienen (z. B. Kammer für Zubehör). Die Kammer befindet sich bevorzugt im Kopfbereich der Kappe (z. B auf der Oberseite als ringförmiger Hohlraum, der mit einem ringförmigen Deckel verschlossen werden kann). Die Kammer ist vorteilhaft von außen zugänglich.
Die Kappe kann auch einen Federclip (auch mehrere Federclips) enthalten, an den ein Informationsblatt geklemmt werden kann. Der Federclip kann aus Kunststoff oder Metall sein. Der Federclip ist beispielsweise in der Form eines Kugelschreiberclips ausgeformt und ist z. B. im Fall von Kunststoff als Material ein an eine Halbschale angeformtes Element oder ist z.B. im Fall von Metall analog zu Kugelschreibern durch eine Steckverbindung angebracht oder wird bei der Herstellung einer Kunststoff-Halbschale umspritzt oder eingegossen.
In einer bevorzugten Ausführung weist die Kappe folgende Merkmale auf:
  • zwei Halbschalen mit angeformter Aufnahme (innen) für Flaschenventil,
  • Direktbefestigung auf dem Flaschenhals (Flaschengewinde) ohne Zwischenstück,
  • Verbindung der Halbschalen durch Verschraubung oder kombinierte Steck-/Schraubverbindung,
  • integrierter schwenkbarer Griff zum Ausklappen,
  • dem Griff gegenüberliegender ausklappbarer Haken (zur Befestigung an externen Träger, z. B. Patientenbett),
  • beidseitige Öffnungen (seitliche Aussparungen) für Schlauchanschlüsse,
  • kopfseitige Öffnung (Aussparung) für Betätigung von Ventil-Handrad,
  • Verdrehungssicherung (greift an Flaschenventil-Vierkant),
  • Rollsicherung durch Stege im Sockelbereich der Kappe.
Die Kappe oder Teile der Kappe bestehen vorzugsweise aus einem thermoplastischen Kunststoff, z. B. Polyoxymethylen, Polyethylen, Polypropylen, Polystyrol, PVC, Polyester, Polyamid, flüssigkristallines Polymer (LCP). Der thermoplastische Kunststoff kann auch ein Blend sein. Vorteilhaft sind die thermoplastischen Kunststoffe faserverstärkt (z. B. Glasfaser, Mineralfaser, Carbonfaser). Ein geeigneter Kunststoff ist Polyamid mit 30 Gewichtsprozent Glasfaser. Der Kunststoff kann geschäumt sein.
Die Kappe oder Teile der Kappe können durch übliche thermische Kunststoffverarbeitungsverfahren wie Extrusion oder Spritzguß hergestellt werden. Eine dünnwandige Ausführung der Schutzkappe wird bevorzugt.
Die Kappe ist vorzugsweise stapelbar. Die Kappe ist so ausgestaltet, daß Kappen-Unterseite auf den Kopf der Kappe gesteckt werden kann, beispielsweise durch konische Abflachung im Kopfbereich.
Die Beschaffenheit der Kappe wird im folgenden beispielhaft anhand der Figuren 1 bis 4 erläutert. Es handelt sich um eine Kappe, die aus zwei gleichen Halbschalen gebildet wird. Die Halbschalen werden durch Verschraubungen miteinander verbunden.
Fig. 1 zeigt eine Seitenansicht einer Halbschale mit einem Teilschnitt auf der rechten Seite. In der Mitte der abgebildeten Halbschale befindet sich die seitliche Aussparung. Der Gewindeansatz 2 im unteren Bereich der Halbschale ist die Hälfte eines Innengewindes, das auf das Außengewinde der Druckgasflasche paßt. Die Halbschale ist dünnwandig ausgeführt (Wandstärke im Bereich von 1 bis 5 mm, vorzugsweise 2 bis 3 mm). Eine Halbschale enthält zwei Löcher (3) zur Befestigung von einem klappbaren Handgriff und einem klappbaren Haken. Die Halbschale weist ein äußeres Profil mit vorstehenden Stegen (4) auf, die ein Rollen einer liegenden Druckgasflasche verhindern. Der Kragen (6) ist eckig und dient ebenfalls als Rollschutz. Der Kragen ragt über die Druckgasflasche hinaus.
Fig. 2 zeigt die in der Halbschale angebrachten Löcher (5), durch die Schrauben geführt werden. Durch eine Verschraubung werden zwei Halbschalen miteinander verbunden. Eine Halbschale enthält vier der Löcher (5).
Fig. 3 zeigt den Querschnitt der Halbschale im unteren und oberen Bereich.
Fig. 4 zeigt die montierte Kappe aus zwei Halbschalen (1) und einem Griff (7) und einem Haken (8).

Claims (10)

  1. Kappe für Druckgasflaschen, die zwei in einer Ebene senkrecht zur Grundfläche der Kappe miteinander verbundene Halbschalen, einen inneren Hohlraum zur Aufnahme des Flaschenventils, mindestens eine seitliche Aussparung und eine Aussparung auf der Kopfseite und eine Einrichtung zur Befestigung an der Druckgasflasche aufweist.
  2. Kappe nach Anspruch 1,
    enthaltend zwei gleiche Halbschalen.
  3. Kappe nach einem der Anspruch 1 oder 2,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Kappe mindestens einen Kunststoff oder mindestens ein Metall enthält.
  4. Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3,
    enthaltend zwei oder vier seitliche Aussparungen, die gleich in Größe und Form sind.
  5. Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4,
    enthaltend mindestens eine Aufhängevorrichtung und/oder eine Tragevorrichtung.
  6. Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 5,
    enthaltend mindestens einen beweglichen Haken und/oder einen beweglichen Griff.
  7. Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6 mit einer Einrichtung zur Befestigung, die
    ein Gewinde oder Teile eines Gewindes enthält.
  8. Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7 mit einer Verdrehsicherung.
  9. Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 8 mit einer Rollsicherung.
  10. Verwendung der Kappe nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 9 als Tragevorrichtung für Druckgasflaschen oder zum Schutz von Ventilen von Druckgasflaschen.
