Abstract

Der Scheinwerfer weist einen Reflektor (10) und eine Entladungslampe (16) auf, die relativ zum Reflektor (10) zwischen einer Stellung für Abblendlicht und einer Stellung für Fernlicht bewegbar ist. Die Entladungslampe (16) weist seitlich jeweils einen lichtundurchlässigen Streifen (32,33) auf, zwischen denen eine obere Öffnung (36) und eine untere Öffnung (40) für den Lichtdurchtritt verbleiben. Durch die obere Öffnung (36) tretendes Licht trifft auf einen oberen Reflektorbereich (48), wird durch diesen reflektiert und weist in der Stellung der Entladungslampe (16) für Abblendlicht eine durch die Streifen (32,33) erzeugte obere Helldunkelgrenze auf. Durch die untere Öffnung (40) tretendes Licht trifft auf einen unteren Reflektorbereich (50) und wird durch diesen als ein mit Abstand unterhalb der Helldunkgrenze verlaufendes Lichtbündel reflektiert. In der Stellung der Entladungslampe (16) für Fernlicht ist das vom oberen Reflektorbereich (48) reflektierte Lichtbündel gegenüber der Stellung für Abblendlicht angehoben und stärker konzentriert während das vom unteren Reflektorbereich (50) reflektierte Lichtbündel nicht angehoben ist und dieses weiterhin den Nahbereich vor dem Fahrzeug beleuchtet.
