Definitions
- the present invention relates, in general, to a control console of the type comprising at least one member for adjusting the levels of radio signals, such as that a cursor, a button, a key, this organ being able be manually operated by the user to be able to occupy any position between two positions extreme, position detection means instant of said adjusting member, and means for memorizing at least one position of said organ corresponding to an adjustment state chosen by the user.
- the present invention relates more particularly to mixing consoles or lighting control consoles.
- Memory mixing consoles are equipped with sliders motorized allowing the user to have by automatic positioning of the different cursors in positions previously saved in a memory of computer type.
- this operating mode automatic in which the cursors are automatically repositioned on memorized positions
- such console is capable of operating in a so-called manual mode or free in which the user can intervene manually from a mixing memory on the different positions of the different sliders of his console.
- the problem encountered by the user in the if operating in manual mode of the console is ability to quickly reposition cursor on memorized position without going through the automatic operation.
- consoles equipped with sliders each provided with a indication of light type have been developed. The user can then, by visual control of the position of these sliders, replace the sliders on their reference positions.
- such means oblige the user to be attentive to these indications when a manual resumption of the settings is necessary. Such a constraint is likely to affect the quality of the work provided by the user.
- US-A-5,414,337 describes an actuator comprising tactile means for positioning said actuator, these tactile means being reprogrammable electronically to easily modify signals provided when touching said manual actuator. Again, there is no such actuator means for automatically prepositioning the actuator.
- the purpose of the present invention is therefore to overcome the disadvantages mentioned above by proposing a console whose manual adjustments made by the user are facilitated so as to quickly find the position of memorized reference of said cursor without forcing the user to look at his console.
- Another object of the present invention is to provide a console whose adjustment members can indifferently be controlled manually or automatically in displacement, the manual control having for object main to refine the automatic adjustment performed.
- the invention relates to a console control of the type comprising at least one adjusting member level of radio signals such as a cursor, button, one key, this member being operable manually by the user in order to be able to any position between two extreme positions, means for detecting the instantaneous position of said member adjustment and storage means of at least one position of said member corresponding to an adjustment state chosen by the user, characterized in that each adjustment member is provided with both motor means for automatic positioning of the adjusting member at its memorized position corresponding to an adjustment state user-selected and tactile means of signaling of the spacing of said adjusting member by relative to its stored predetermined position.
- the adjustment member is easy to position or to reposition without risk of errors for the user.
- the tactile means for signaling the spacing of the adjusting member with respect to its predetermined position memorized include the motor positioning means automatic adjustment device to its memorized position corresponding to an adjustment state chosen by the user.
- the means signaling devices are made up, in addition to the organ of adjustment, by the motor member which is used as a means for automatic positioning of the adjusting member. The result is a simple and economical design of tactile signaling means due to use optimal means of automatic positioning motors of the adjusting member.
- control console is characterized in that the driving means of automatic positioning of the adjusting member at its memorized predetermined position and the tactile means of signaling of the spacing of said adjusting member by relative to its stored preset position are differentiated.
- the memory mixing console comprises at least one member 1 for adjusting the levels of radio signals.
- This body can be constituted by cursor, button, key, etc.
- the body of setting is a cursor moving along a path guide 2 between two extreme positions, this cursor being fitted with automatic positioning means, consisting of at least one drive member, such as an engine electric 3.
- Such a cursor + motor block is for example marketed by ALPS ELECTRIC Co. Ltd. under the reference RSA-O-9M12.
- the mixing console also includes means for detection of the instantaneous position of said setting 1.
- the means of detection are integrated as a position sensor directly in cursor 1.
- the detected positions of different cursors 1 are saved inside a position register shown in the single figure in the form of a "Position" block.
- the console also includes memory means at least one position of said organ corresponding to a mixing state also called setting state chosen by the user.
- These storage means are shown in the form of a "memories" block in the single figure.
- the procedure is as follows.
- the user positions all of the sliders 1 fitted to the console in one position predetermined.
- it memorizes all of these positions to define a first setting state in which has a position associated with each cursor preset memory stored in said set position.
- the user may place the cursors in a second position which it memorizes again.
- This storage is represented by the arrows F1 and F2 arranged respectively between "position" block and block "control computer” and "computer block” command “and block” memories "in the single figure.
- mixing states are usually selected manually by the user.
- the operation of the console is next.
- the user manually selects for example an adjustment state previously memorized by pressing a touch.
- the control computer transmits this information to a "power" block which then operates in automatic mode represented by MA in the single figure.
- This power unit receives a representative signal S as input the difference between the instantaneous position of the setting and its memorized position corresponding to the state of setting chosen by the user.
- This signal S allows the "power" block to deliver energy to motor 3 sufficient to automatically move the organ of setting 1 to its stored position.
- the motor means for automatic positioning of the adjustment consist essentially of the drive unit 3 slaved in operation to signal S. In others terms, the motor 3 drives the moving member setting 1 until the difference between the value of memorized setpoint position and position value of the adjusting member 1 is zero.
- each adjustment member 1 When each adjusting member 1 is positioned at its position corresponding to the position value stored preset so-called set position, it can be necessary to make manual adjustments which refine and / or modify the setting as memorized. For facilitate this adjustment and in accordance with the purpose of the invention, each adjustment member is also provided with tactile means for signaling the spacing of said adjusting member with respect to its predetermined position stored.
- the control console is characterized in that the tactile means for signaling the spacing of the adjusting member with respect to its predetermined position memorized include the motor positioning means automatic adjustment device to its memorized position corresponding to an adjustment state chosen by the user.
- the tactile means are new constituted by the motor unit 3 controlled by operation at a signal S representative of the difference between the instantaneous position of the adjusting member 1 and its memorized predetermined position corresponding to the state of setting chosen by the user. They also understand the regulating member 1 itself which will provide information touch sensitive to the user's touch.
- the tactile means of signaling of the spacing of said adjusting member by relative to its stored predetermined position and the means motors for automatic positioning of the organ adjustment to its memorized position corresponding to a state of setting chosen by the user consist of at minus a common driving member 3 acting on the setting 1, the operation of this motor member 3 being slaved to a control signal S representative of a deviation between the memorized predetermined position of said setting 1 and the instantaneous position of said setting 1 to generate, in a first mode of so-called “automatic” operation, a driving force sufficient to move the adjusting member 1 to its memorized position and, in a second mode of so-called “controlled manual” operation, a force of motorization detectable by touch of the user during manual actuation of the adjusting member but insufficient to cause displacement of this organ of setting.
- this last one is equipped with automatic switching means between the automatic operating mode MA and the mode of operation known as MC controlled manual and means of manual switching between the so-called operating mode manual controlled MC and the operating mode says automatic MA. So when the positioning step automatic adjustment devices 1 described above a been performed, the console is automatically switched to the so-called "controlled manual" operating mode.
- the console is normally in manual mode controlled represented by MC in the single figure.
- the switching between the two modes takes place in the block "power".
- the switching means can be constituted by a simple tilting.
- the "power" block so that it provides the organ motor 3 too low energy to drive motor 3 but sufficient for a tactile sensation, preference based on the difference between the actual position cursor detected and stored setpoint position predetermined, or generated on the adjusting member 1.
- the console can also switch the console to a third mode fully manual operation, also called “mode free ". In this case, the" power "block is completely blocked so that it does not supply motor 3 with any energy, regardless of the value of the difference between the detected instant position of the adjusting member and a stored predetermined position of said adjusting member.
- the console control comprises means of slaving, to a control signal S representative of a difference between the instantaneous detected position of the adjusting member 1, and a predetermined position memorized by said adjustment of the functioning of the tactile means of signaling of the spacing of said adjusting member by relative to its stored predetermined position and means motors for automatic positioning of the organ setting 1 at its memorized position corresponding to a state setting chosen by the user.
- the servo means consisting of the "memories” block, the "position” block and the “difference” blocks are common to tactile means and motor means. This gives a control console for particularly simple construction little different in terms of parts of a traditional console.
- the control is carried out as follows: therefore starting from the detected instantaneous position value for each cursor 1 by the built-in position sensor said cursor 1 ("position" block) and the value of setpoint position memorized for each cursor (block “memories”), it is possible, in the "difference” block, to process these two values for each cursor, particular by calculation, to obtain a value representative of the difference between said aforementioned values. From this value, a signal S of command transmitted to the "power" block.
- the power signal authorizes the supply of energy by the block “power” to the electric motor 3.
- This electric motor 3 is connected, by an endless transmission such as a belt, to slider 1.
- the motor electric 3 is an electric organ which, in this mode of particular achievement, constitutes both an organ actuating movement of said adjusting member and a organ capable of generating a tactile signal.
- This organ electric generates for example during its functioning, a force antagonistic to the force exerted on said adjusting member 1 by the user.
- this force is kept below a predetermined threshold value, beyond which would produce an automatic displacement of said organ of setting 1.
- the goal is to make a displacement manual of this adjusting member 1 while generating, at level of the adjusting member 1, a signal detectable by the touch of the user during manual operation of this adjusting member 1 beyond and / or below said preset position stored.
- the force generated by said electrical member can be a constant force or progressive force, or respectively declining, increasing, or respectively decreasing, with the difference between the actual instantaneous position of the organ of setting and a memorized position. This depends on the processing carried out at the level of the control signal and / or the adjustment of the "power" block. So in the example represented, the opposing force increases as a function of the distance of the cursor 1 from its position preset memory. As a result, when the user places the cursor on the set position corresponding to the stored predetermined position, the difference is zero and the clamped power stage does not provide no energy, this is the "soft spot" of the cursor.
- the tactile signaling means can be of two types, either all or nothing, or type progressive, or decreasing respectively, the value of generated tactile signal increasing or respectively decreasing with the difference between the actual instantaneous position of the adjuster and a stored position.
- the motor means for automatic positioning of the adjustment to its stored predetermined position and the means tactile signaling of the spacing of said organ of adjustment with respect to its stored predetermined position of the control console are differentiated.
- the motor means for automatic positioning of the regulating member can be made so analogous to what has been described above. It is the same means for controlling the operation of the means motors and tactile means of signaling to a signal S representative of the difference between the instantaneous position detected from the adjuster and a position preset memory.
- the tactile signaling means are consisting, in addition to a regulating member, of a member electric whose current supply is controlled by a control signal representative of a difference between the detected instant position of the adjusting member and a memorized predetermined position of said adjusting member, this electrical member generating on said adjusting member a signal detectable by the user's touch when manual actuation of said adjusting member beyond and / or below said stored predetermined position of said adjuster.
- signal we can mean force, temperature variation, vibration, etc.
- the electrical member can be consisting of a vibrating member, such as a vibrator, is having for example in the form of a pellet arranged for example on the surface of said adjusting member when this the latter consists of a cursor, button or touch.
- This vibrator would be, analogously to what has been described above, powered by the block "power" to, for example, vibrate more or less less intense depending on the spacing of the cursor by relative to its stored predetermined position.
- this electrical member can be consisting of a simply reduced heater to an electrical resistance which would be incorporated into said adjusting member 1.
- the manual movement of said adjusting member adjustment in a direction deviating from its position stored preset would for example generate a increase in cursor temperature indicating the user that he is moving away from the preset position stored.
- the means signaling touch can be all or nothing or progressive, or degressive, respectively, the value of the generated tactile signal increasing or respectively decreasing with the difference between the position actual instant of the adjuster and position preset memory stored in said adjusting member.
- the adjusting member can be quickly brought to its memorized position corresponding to the setting state chosen by the user, this setting can immediately be refined manually by the user without having to look at the control console.
- the control console can have applications multiple: lighting control console, console mixing, etc.
