Definitions
- the invention relates to a screw cap with a security and guarantee tape for bottles.
- the security tapes consist of a section in the shape of a cylinder jacket, which is connected to the lower edge of the jacket of the screw closure by connecting webs.
- the bands can have weakening areas on their circumference, which tear when they are opened for the first time.
- the band sections remain connected with the screw cap. But they can also be made in one piece and remain after the first opening below a retaining rib, which is located axially below the thread on the bottle neck.
- circumferential cams are formed either on the lower edge of the same or on the inner surface thereof and in the clear cross section projecting plurality of circumferential locking cams (US-A-4,846,361). These retention cams slide over the retention rib when the bottle is being screwed on and engage under it. When the screw cap is opened, the safety strap is held back by the retaining cams, which have a retaining surface at the top, and the connecting webs between the screw cap and the safety strap break.
- the object of the present invention was to create a safety band which can be applied to the bottle without problems on the bottler on high-performance filling machines and which, when the bottle is opened by the consumer, is properly separated from the screw cap and remains below the retaining rib on the neck of the bottle or at Reusable bottles tear and remain connected with the screw cap.
- the axially staggered retention cams cause when uncovering significantly lower spreading forces on the security band and prevent its premature destruction.
- Two retaining cams arranged in pairs and axially offset from each other also slide over one after the other when screwing on the screw cap the retention rib, making the safety strap, because of the oval Deformation is hardly stretched and a low axial contact pressure is necessary to allow the retaining rib to be skipped.

- the next Retaining cams on the retaining rib and tear the neighboring ones Connecting bridges through The security band will be inclined thereby avoided, and it remains, if formed in one piece, always below the retaining rib on the bottle neck.
- reference numeral 1 is a closure unit consisting of a screw cap 2 and a security band 3 shown schematically.
- the closure unit 1 consists of thermoplastic and is made by injection molding.
- the Screw cap 2 comprises a bottom 4, on which a concentric to Symmetry axis A extending sealing rib 5 can be attached.
- On the bottom 4 is connected to a jacket 6, which is on its inside preferably divided into sections 7 threads.
- the Formation of the screw cap 2 is generally known and is here not explained in more detail.
- the security and guarantee tape 3 is through very thin webs 9, a few tenths of a millimeter thick, with the lower edge 8 of the jacket 6 of the screw cap 2 connected.
- the length of the Connecting webs 9 and the distance between the upper edge 10 of the Security band is very small and is in the order of magnitude a few tenths of a millimeter.
- the retention cams 12a and 12b and the retention cams 13a and 13b face each other diagonally, are offset by approximately 90 ° and axial, i.e. with respect to the axial extent of the security band 3 in order offset an amount a from each other.
- the retention cams 12a and 12b are consequently closer to the lower edge 14 of the Security tape 3 as the retention cams 13a and 13b.
- the distance a is preferably less than the height b of a circumferential retaining rib 15 on the neck 16 one e.g. Bottle made of PET 17.
- Threaded sections 18 visible, which correspond to the corresponding Threaded sections 7 on the inside of the jacket 6 of the Screw cap 2 are intended to come into engagement.
- the connecting webs 9 are, viewed in the circumferential direction, between the retention cam 12a, 12b; 13a, 13b.
- the webs 9 could also film-like connections the screw cap 2 and that Hold security band 3 together.
- the security band 3 of the first exemplary embodiment is explained below with reference to FIG. 3.
- the closure unit 1 When the bottle 17 is closed with the closure unit 1, the latter is placed axially from above onto the bottle neck 16 and, viewed from above, rotated clockwise. Initially, the threaded sections 7 on the screw cap 2 come into engagement with the threaded sections 18 on the bottle neck 16. After approximately one revolution through 360 °, the bevelled lower edges 19 of the retaining cams 12a and 12b come into contact with the inclined upper edge of the retaining rib 15 on the bottle neck 16.
- the security band 3 takes on an oval shape and stretches only very little and at most within the elastic limit.
- the two retaining cams 12a and 12b are pulled radially inwards again, because at this moment the two axially offset retaining cams 13a and 13b now also come into contact with the retaining rib 15 and, analogously to the other two ribs, are pushed radially outwards.
- the cross section of the security band 3 in turn becomes oval.
- the two retaining cams 13a and 13b also slide over the retaining rib 15 and are then, like the two retaining cams 12a and 12b, in the cylindrical region 20 of the bottle neck 16.
- the thin connecting webs 9 only become very little mechanically stressed because the axial pressure causes the safety band 3 with its upper edge 10 to rest against the lower edge 8 of the jacket and the connecting webs 9 are only compressed.
- the rest of the circumference of the Security tape 3 is through the thin connecting webs 9 on the Bottom edge 10 attached tearable.
- a predetermined breaking point 22 in shape an incision, a line of weakness or a film Reducing the wall thickness enables the Security tape 3 when opening the screw cap 2.
- a first Retaining cam 12a is adjacent to the predetermined breaking point 22 below the Tying area X. Is preferably directly opposite the tying area X. a single or a pair of closely spaced retention cams 12b trained. Two more are offset by 90 ° Retention cams 13a, 13b.
- the retention cams 13a and 13a and 13b are located axially further away from the lower edge 14 of the security band 3 and therefore come into contact with the retaining rib 15 earlier when opening than the retention cams 12a, 12b.
- the webs 9 laterally Retaining cams 13a and 13b and the predetermined breaking point 22 are therefore torn from the rest.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a screw cap with a security and guarantee tape for bottles.
bereits beim Schliessvorgang reissen. Das Sicherheitsband verliert dabei
seinen Zweck.
Schraubverschluss verbunden bleibt. Safety and guarantee tapes are formed on most screw caps today to indicate the first opening of the bottle and to prevent the contents of the bottle from being contaminated by unauthorized persons. The security tapes consist of a section in the shape of a cylinder jacket, which is connected to the lower edge of the jacket of the screw closure by connecting webs. The bands can have weakening areas on their circumference, which tear when they are opened for the first time. The band sections remain connected with the screw cap. But they can also be made in one piece and remain after the first opening below a retaining rib, which is located axially below the thread on the bottle neck. In the case of the conventional security and guarantee tapes, circumferential cams are formed either on the lower edge of the same or on the inner surface thereof and in the clear cross section projecting plurality of circumferential locking cams (US-A-4,846,361). These retention cams slide over the retention rib when the bottle is being screwed on and engage under it. When the screw cap is opened, the safety strap is held back by the retaining cams, which have a retaining surface at the top, and the connecting webs between the screw cap and the safety strap break. When unscrewing or opening the screw cap on the bottler of the bottle, the resistance of four retaining cams at the same time, which occurs when the cams pass over the retaining rib, can cause problems due to the large spread, and the security band can, if it is tilted, between the Bottle neck and the jacket of the screw cap are pressed and jammed. The safety band or the connecting bars for the closure can tear during the closing process. The security band loses its purpose. In high-performance filling systems, a defect of the type mentioned can lead to the entire system coming to a standstill.
But even when the screw cap is opened, the known security tapes often tear only on one side or are partially pulled out over the retaining rib. When reclosing, the safety band is jammed between the bottle neck and the jacket of the screw cap, so that a tight reclosure is not possible unless the safety band is first removed or pushed back by hand.
The FR-A-2 682 357 mentioned in the international search report has two adjoining groups of retaining cams of different heights, which virtually promotes the inclination of the safety band to be avoided.
The object of the present invention was to create a safety band which can be applied to the bottle without problems on the bottler on high-performance filling machines and which, when the bottle is opened by the consumer, is properly separated from the screw cap and remains below the retaining rib on the neck of the bottle or at Reusable bottles tear and remain connected with the screw cap.
den Merkmalen des Patentanspruches 1.This task is solved by a security and guarantee tape according to
the features of
The axially staggered retention cams cause when uncovering significantly lower spreading forces on the security band and prevent its premature destruction.
Two retaining cams arranged in pairs and axially offset from each other also slide over one after the other when screwing on the screw cap the retention rib, making the safety strap, because of the oval Deformation is hardly stretched and a low axial contact pressure is necessary to allow the retaining rib to be skipped. When opening the bottle, the two on top are initially Retaining cams are held back by the retention rib and they just kick there tensile forces on the connecting webs, preferably laterally the retention cams are formed and tear them through. As soon as the first connecting webs are torn, the next Retaining cams on the retaining rib and tear the neighboring ones Connecting bridges through. The security band will be inclined thereby avoided, and it remains, if formed in one piece, always below the retaining rib on the bottle neck. On Security band with predetermined breaking point and connection to the Screw cap sticks to the latter.

An
vorzugsweise in Abschnitte aufgeteilte Gewindegänge 7 trägt.
einigen Zehntelsmillimetern.In Figures 1 and 2,
einen Betrag a gegeneinander versetzt.
Der Abstand a
On the inner
Sicherheitsband 3 zusammenhalten.The connecting
Die Funktionsweise des Sicherheitsbandes 3 des ersten
Ausführungsbeispieles wird nachfolgend anhand der Figur 3 erklärt. Beim
The functioning of the
restlichen Verbindungsstege 9 gerissen. Das Sicherheitsband 3 verbleibt
nun im Bereich 20 unterhalb der Rückhalterippe 15. Ohne das nun
abgerissene Sicherheitsband 3 kann der Schraubverschluss 2 zum
Wiederverschliessen der Flasche 17 auf deren Hals 16 aufgeschraubt
werden. When the screw cap is opened, the two come together for the time being
diagonally opposite
In the embodiment of the invention according to FIGS. 5 and 6, this is
