Abstract

On the security strip of a closure unit there are arranged two pairs of retaining cams lying diagonally opposite. The retaining cams prodtruding into the free cross section of the security strip are axially displaced. On closing the bottle firstly the first retaining cam pair is spread and slides over the retaining rib. Afterwards the second retaining cams displaced by 90° are spread and likewise slide below the retaining rib. On opening, firstly the second retaining cams are held back on the retaining rib and the connecting webs to the screw closure are torn. Afterwards also the remaining webs are torn as soon as the first retaining cams are prevented from an axial displacement by the retaining rib.
