It is already a fuel injector from DE-PS 49 47 40 is known in which a valve closing body connected to a valve needle with a Valve seat body cooperates to form a valve seat. To guide the fuel is in an essentially axially extending fuel supply line to a nozzle body provided, which extends in a radial direction in the valve seat body Fuel channel opens. The fuel channel opens in the area of the valve seat a spray opening.
  • a newer design of a fuel injector for direct injection of Fuel in a cylinder of an internal combustion engine goes, for. B. from the DE 196 00 403 A1.
  • the fuel distribution is within that of the known ones Fuel injector sprayed fuel jet largely radially symmetrical.
  • an asymmetrical Fuel distribution within the fuel jet is desirable. So can for example, a different fuel-air mixture composition in the area of the spark plug be advantageous than in the remaining area of the fuel jet.
  • the fuel injector according to the invention with the characterizing features of The main claim has the advantage that an accurate adjustment of the Fuel injector metered amount of fuel is possible by the Opening cross section of a throttle point of one or more fuel channels Targeted fuel channels in the fully assembled state of the fuel injector is changeable.
