Claims (14)

  1. Method for the insertion of a weft thread into a series shed weaving machine having a supply nozzle and a weft thread distributor apparatus, with the weft thread being continuously supplied by means of a fluid flow and being inserted into sheds which follow one another, characterised in that prior to the conclusion of the insertion procedure a thread loop is produced by means of reversing the flow direction outside of the weft thread distributor apparatus in order to keep a substantially extended weft start ready for the insertion into the weft thread distributor apparatus.
  2. Method for the insertion of a weft thread into a series shed weaving machine having a supply nozzle and a weft thread distributor apparatus, with the weft thread being continuously supplied by means of a fluid flow and being inserted into sheds which follow one another, characterised in that before the termination of the insertion procedure a thread loop is produced by means of thread clamping and/or thread deflection outside of the weft thread distributor apparatus in order to keep available a substantially extended weft thread start for the insertion into the weft thread distributor apparatus.
  3. Method in accordance with claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that a freely floating weft thread loop is produced.
  4. Method in accordance with claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that at least one guided weft thread loop is produced.
  5. Apparatus for carrying out the method of claim 1, which apparatus includes a supply nozzle (11), an insertion nozzle (13) and a weft thread distributor apparatus (3), characterised in that a nozzle arrangement (12) is provided in the course of the weft thread between the supply nozzle and the weft thread distributor apparatus in order to assist the forwarding of the weft thread during the insertion and to produce a thread loop in the course of the thread directly in front of the nozzle arrangement after the conclusion of the insertion.
  6. Apparatus in accordance with claim 4, characterised by a rotating gate valve (16) which is connected to the nozzle arrangement (12).
  7. Apparatus in accordance with claim 4, characterised by an auxiliary nozzle (15) which is arranged before the nozzle arrangement (12) in the thread running direction in order to assist the loop formation.
  8. Apparatus in accordance with claim 5, characterised by a guide body (14) for the weft thread (1), with the guide body being arranged after the supply nozzle.
  9. Apparatus for carrying out the method of one of the claims 2 to 4, which apparatus includes a supply nozzle (11), an insertion nozzle (31) and a weft thread distributor apparatus (3), characterised in that a weft thread clamp (42) and/or a deflection member (32) is arranged in the course of the thread before the insertion nozzle (33) in order to produce a thread loop in the course of the thread before the thread clamp (42) or the deflection member (32) directly after completion of the insertion.
  10. Apparatus in accordance with claim 9, characterised by a thread guiding member (41) which is arranged in the course of the thread before the weft thread clamp (42).
  11. Apparatus in accordance with claim 9, characterised in that the deflection member (32) is arranged in the course of the thread before the weft thread clamp in order to assist the formation of the thread loop.
  12. Apparatus in accordance with claim 9, characterised by a drive element (51) for the deflection member (32).
  13. Apparatus in accordance with claim 8, characterised.in that a weft thread clamp is integrated into the insertion nozzle (33).
  14. Series shed weaving machine with an apparatus in accordance with one of the claims 5 to 13.
