Definitions
- the invention relates to a method of manufacturing a decorative panel comprising a support, in particular made of wood, and a surface covering decorative obtained by a sublimation treatment using a sheet thermal transfer printing of the printed side on the support.
- the decorative surface coating processes printed by sublimation on textile supports and on surfaces natural or synthetic materials, especially wood, ceramic, plastic or metal, are well known.
- the temperature and pressure required to ensure thermal transfer of the decoration from the printing sheet to the basic support depends on the nature of the support material, and the type of coloring matters of the decoration.
- the state of the art in this area can be illustrated by documents EP-A-14901 and US-A-4 581 255. It is thus possible to produce by printing of photographic or decorative reproductions on objects or supports which must subsequently withstand the heat test, in particular articles or objects used in cooking, cleaning, or plates heating.
- the supports used are generally rigid panels, or metal strips having a perfectly flat and continuous surface to receive the decoration during the sublimation operation.
- Another known solution consists in plating a sheet decorative imitation tiles on a wooden support. Plating is done by gluing with a special glue, but its implementation is complicated and expensive.
- a first object of the invention consists in developing a new method of manufacture of a decorative panel imitating tiles, easy to install artwork.
- a second object of the invention consists in making a decorative panel imitation of tiles resistant to thermal and mechanical shocks, and benefiting from a reduced manufacturing cost.
- a router is used to make the grooves, the the router being chosen and adjusted to make profile grooves predetermined.
- the grooves have a U-shaped profile with a straight or curved bottom.
- the width of the grooves (14) is advantageously between 1 mm and 10 mm.
- the joint finish is then obtained automatically during the complete coating of the printed face of the support by the layer of surface protection varnish.
- the support can be formed by a wooden panel, wood particles agglomerated, or plastic.
- a support 10 constituted by a panel of wood, in particular with agglomerated particles, is grooved on its face superficial 12 flat to produce a network of horizontal grooves 14 and vertical.
- This preliminary grooving operation is carried out using a router, especially with manual or digital control, so as to obtain a grid of 16 elementary tiles separated the from each other by the grooves 14.
- the grooves 14 may have sections with straight or curved bottoms, whose dimensions are adapted to the implementation of a process sublimation printing of the surface 12.
- the depth of the all of the grooves 14 are identical, and can be between 0.1 mm and 5 mm.
- the width is preferably chosen within a range between 1 mm and 10 mm.
- a primary layer of paint is applied by spraying. 18 on the surface 12 of support 10, so as to cover all of the tiles 16, as well as the faces of the grooves 14.
- the paint used can be a white lacquer, in particular a resin based on silicone, polyester or polyurethane.
- a varnish can also be used for a white melamine panel. Spraying paint sprayed in such a way as to obtain a thick layer homogeneous.
- the printing sheet 20 is constituted by a transfer paper thermal, the external unprinted side of which is subjected to a pressing hot to ensure the transfer of coloring pigments by sublimation.
- the sublimation operation illustrated in FIG. 5 is carried out by means of a press 22 operating under a contact pressure greater than 3 bars, and at a temperature between 170 ° C and 250 ° C depending on the type of pigments present on the printing sheet 20. Heating and pressure on the face not printed cause the transfer of the decoration of the printing sheet 20 towards the primary layer of paint 18, so as to cover both the tiles 16 and the faces of the grooves 14. After this transfer operation thermal, the sheet 20 is removed permanently, revealing the printed coating layer of the support 10.
- a layer of varnish 24 is finally applied over the entire printed surface of the support 10 to form the finishing coating of the decorated panel.
- the varnish can be based on a thermosetting resin added with a hardening agent to produce a surface layer of decoration protection.
- the varnish is preferably chosen to resist thermal shock of the order of 200 ° C to 250 ° C, while retaining good mechanical strength.
- the appropriate dosage of varnish 24 gives it a viscosity adapted to its penetration in the grooves 14 during the coating phase.
- the support 10 constitutes an imitation tile panel with visible joints, and a specific decoration, benefiting from a correct surface hardness, and a high resistance to deformation in the presence of high temperatures.

Description
- la figure 1 montre le support après l'opération de défonçage ;
- la figure 2 est une vue en plan de la figure 1 ;
- la figure 3 représente le support de la figure 1 après enduction d'une couche primaire de peinture ;
- la figure 4 est une vue identique de la figure 2 après pose de la feuille d'impression ;
