Abstract

Durch eine Einrichtung zur Erzeugung eines zweiten Längsfalzes und ein Verfahren werden in einem Strom von Signaturen Signaturgruppierungen gebildet, indem ausgewählte Signaturen (400) auf ihrem Transport zu einem Falzmechanismus (240) verzögert werden. Der Falzmechanismus (240) ist an das Falzen von mehreren Signaturen mit einer einzigen Falzbewegung angepaßt, wobei die Durchlaufleistung der Falzeinrichtung erhöht wird und die Betriebsgeschwindigkeit des den Längsfalz erzeugenden Falzmechanismus (240) reduziert wird.
