Definitions

  • the invention relates to a folding wheelchair with a chassis frame, the two each have a lower and an upper one Has side frame parts with frame tube which are spaced apart from each other in the direction of travel Drive wheel and a front castor bearing and with a cross strut on the bottom Frame tubes of the side frame parts articulated handlebars are interconnected, and with one on the Cross brace seat, two each with one End of a handlebar of the cross strut firmly connected as well lockable with the upper frame tubes of the side frame tele has side seat tubes.
  • a folding wheelchair according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US-A-4,813,693.
  • Folding wheelchairs of this type are generally known and also in DE utility model 91 12 908 is, for example such folding wheelchair described.
  • the chassis frame consists of two cross braces with each other via a seat connected side frame parts between a spaced use position and an adjacent collapsed position essentially parallel to each other movable and at least in the position of use are lockable.
  • On the side frame parts which are made of there are tubes welded to one another one rear drive wheel each and one each around a swivel castor mounted on a vertical axis.
  • the Cross strut consists of each other in such wheelchairs crossing tubes or handlebars at the crossing point hinged together and with their lower ends each on a lower frame tube of a side frame part are articulated. With the other ends of the the tubes or handlebars that form the cross strut are seat tubes firmly connected, on which the longitudinal edges mostly consist of strong canvas attached to the existing seat and the with the upper frame tubes of the side frame parts in the position of use can be locked.
  • the invention stands underlying task in creating a regard its adaptability to different needs improved folding wheelchair.
  • This task is solved in that for the purpose of changeability the seat depth with the lower ends of their handlebars hinged to the lower frame tubes of the side frame parts Cross brace with the seat recorded on it slidable in the direction of travel of the wheelchair and at least two setting positions can be locked.
  • the invention is therefore that the for the inclusion of a wheelchair user certain seat in different Distances from the axes of rotation of the drive wheels can be positioned by moving the cross strut towards the longitudinal extent of the side frame parts of the Chassis frame shifted and in the respective setting position is locked. In this way the seat depth is on the needs of each wheelchair user without change adaptable to the center of gravity of the wheelchair.
  • Bearing elements of this type provide precise pivoting the cross strut handlebar opposite the bearing elements receiving lower frame tubes of the side frame parts and also a guide for the cross strut such that the handlebars are at right angles from the Project frame tubes receiving bearing elements.
  • the arranged at the lower ends of the crossbar handlebars Bearing elements each consisting of two components, namely from a bearing part with at least one bearing seat, which are open on one side and on a lower frame tube lateral frame part transverse to its longitudinal extent is attachable, and from a solid with the respective Cross brace handlebar connected, approximately U-shaped Holding shoe, which is the open side of the warehouse of the overlaps the relevant bearing part and releasably with the latter connected, in particular screwed.
  • Such a design of the bearing elements enables a particularly simple assembly in such a way that the bearing parts with their unilaterally open inventory the lower frame tube of a side frame part is attached and then the one at the bottom of a crossbar handlebar arranged holding shoe from the open side of the bearing part pushed onto this and then with the bearing part firmly but releasably connected.
  • bearing parts of the bearing elements each with two equipped axially spaced bearing mounts there is a particularly precise guidance of the cross strut on the frame tubes receiving the bearing elements of the side frame parts.
  • the bearing parts as molded parts made of plastic with spring elastic Sections of the warehouse inventory trained and on the lower frame tubes of the side frame parts can be clipped on.
  • each clamp an inside of this protruding locking pin has and the lower frame tubes of the side frame parts with fixing holes for the insertion of a locking pin are provided in the respective setting position the locking pin of a clamp engages.
  • the chassis frame 10 illustrated in FIG. 1 has two side frame parts 11, which in turn each consist of one lower and upper frame tube 12, 13 and these together connecting front and rear frame tubes 14, 15 consist.
  • the upper frame tubes 13 of the side Frame parts 11 upwardly projecting sections of the rear Frame tubes 15 are used on the one hand to attach a Backrest and on the other hand are no further with here handles 16 of interest.
  • the chassis frame 10 also has a side Frame parts 11 interconnecting cross strut 18, the of a double link 19, 19 'and a latter crossing Handlebar 20 exists.
  • the handlebar 20 is between the spaced-apart double links 19, 19 ' recorded and with these at the crossing point by means of a swivel 21 articulated.
  • the links 19, 19 'and 20 of the cross strut 18 are each equipped at their upper ends with seat tubes 22 which perpendicular to the respective handlebar in the longitudinal direction of the side frame parts 11 of the chassis frame 10 extend and almost over the entire length of the upper frame tubes 13 of the side frame parts 11 are sufficient.
  • the lower Ends of the links 19, 19 'and 20 are with bearing elements 24 equipped and by means of this to the lower Frame tubes 12 of the side frame parts 11 articulated.
  • the side frame parts are by means of the cross strut 18 11 parallel to itself between a spaced use position and an adjacent disuse location movable.
  • the seat tubes 22 reach for the bracket the side longitudinal edges of a made of durable canvas serve existing seat, not shown in the drawing is on the upper side of the upper frame tubes 13 of the side frame parts 11 attached spaced apart Latches 23 in a form-fitting manner and lock thereby the chassis frame in its position of use.
  • the at the lower ends of the handlebars 19, 19 'and 20 of the Cross brace 18 arranged bearing elements 24 each exist from an inner bearing part 25 with two axially from each other spaced and open top inventory 26, 26 'and a U-shaped holding shoe 27, which is firmly connected to the respective link 19, 19 'or 20, for example is welded and away from them on both sides essentially parallel to the seat tubes 22 extended.
  • the bearing parts 25 are are molded plastic parts, and the bearing mounts 26, 26 'each have resilient bearing sections which of protrude a base body and onto the lower frame tube 12 of a side frame part transverse to its longitudinal extent can be clipped on.
  • each bearing element 24 engages the bearing part 25 and its bearing seats 26, 26 'of the open side forth and is with the bearing part 25 in here in a manner of no particular interest Screws fixed, but releasably connected.
  • the axial fixation the cross strut 18 and the added on this Seat clamps designed as spring elements 28, the two sides of the bearing elements 24 on the lower Frame tubes of the side frame parts 11 added are.
  • Each clamp 28 has an inside of it protruding locking pin 29 and the lower frame tubes 12 of the side frame parts 11 are with fixing holes 30 equipped, in which the locking bolts in the assembled position 29 engage the clamps 28.
