Abstract

Es werden ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Betreiben eines mit flüssigen oder gasförmigen Kohlenwasserstoffen befeuerten Kessels (1) beschrieben. Dem Brenner (2) des Kessels werden Brennstoff (3) und Zerstäubungsluft (4) zugeführt, wobei die Zerstäubungsluft vor dem Vermischen mit dem Brennstoff einem Befeuchtungsprozeß (5,6,7) unterzogen wird. Hierbei wird erhitztes Wasser verdampft und mit der Zerstäubungsluft in Kontakt gebracht. Der entstandene Wasserdampf wird zusammen mit der Zerstäubungsluft dem Brenner zugeführt. Auf diese Weise läßt sich der Anteil der NOx-Emissionen im Rauchgas des Kessels reduzieren.
