Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Ölmodul für Brennkraftmaschinen. Bei Brennkraftmaschinen ist es bekannt die Funktion der Ölkühlung, der Entlüftung und Ölabscheidung, sowie der Reinigung des Öls in einem Ölfilter in getrennten Bauteilen vorzunehmen. Durch die Trennung der Funktionen muß ein hoher Montageaufwand und hohes Bauvolumen in Kauf genommen werden. Erfindungsgemäß wird daher Ölfilter 3, Ölkühler 4 und Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider zu einem integralen Bauteil zusammengefaßt und als ganzes an die Brennkraftmaschine angeflanscht. Durch den Ölmodul werden Montagekosten gespart und der erforderliche Bauraum ist kleiner, als bei Trennung in einzelne Bauteile. <IMAGE>

Description

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Ölmodul für Brennkraftmaschinen.
Der Schmiermittelkreislauf von Brennkraftmaschinen weist einen Ölfilter und einen Ölkühler auf, ferner muß das Kurbelgehäuse über ein Entlüftungssystem mit Ölabscheider verfügen, welches Öl und Luft trennt und das abgeschiedene Öl ins Kurbelgehäuse zurückführt. Diese einzelnen Komponenten werden üblicherweise separat montiert, was zu relativ hohen Montagekosten führt. Ebenfalls hoch ist auch der gesamte Raumbedarf der einzeln an der Brennkraftmaschine angeordneten Komponenten.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, Montagekosten und Gesamtraumbedarf der Einzelkomponenten zu verringern.
Gelöst wird diese Aufgabe durch die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Patentanspruches 1.
Durch die Zusammenfassung von Ölfilter, Ölkühler und Entlüftungssystem mit Ölabscheider zu einer baulichen Einheit werden Montagekosten gespart und das Bauvolumen der zu einem Modul zusammengefaßten Komponenten ist wesentlich geringer, als wenn die Komponenten einzeln für sich montiert würden.
Eine vorteilhafte konstruktive Ausbildung des Ölmoduls kann Anspruch 2 entnommen werden.
Das Ölmodul, welches in, oder an seinem Gehäuse die gesamten Komponenten aufweist stellt eine bauliche Einheit dar, die als Ganzes an die Brennkraftmaschine, beispielsweise an das Kurbelgehäuse angeflanscht werden kann. Die Einheit zeichnet sich durch geringst mögliches Bauvolumen aus.
Weitere vorteilhafte Ausbildungen können den Unteransprüchen 3 und 4 entnommen werden.
Ausführungsbeispiele der Erfindung sind an Hand von Zeichnungen dargestellt.

Fig. 1 zeigt ein Ölmodul 1, welches seitlich als bauliche Einheit an ein Kurbelgehäuse 2 einer Brennkraftmaschine angebaut ist. Das Ölmodul 1 vereinigt einen zweiteilig ausgeführten Ölfilter 3, einen Ölkühler 4 und ein Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider. Der Ölkühler 4 wird vom einen Gehäuse 6 vollständig umschlossen. Der Ölfilter 3 und das Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider sind unmittelbar an das Gehäuse 6 angebaut, so daß sich eine bauliche Einheit ergibt, die als Ganzes an die Brennkraftmaschine, beispielsweise seitlich an das Kurbelgehäuse 2 der Brennkraftmaschine angeflanscht werden kann.
Das Gehäuse 6 ist an einem Ende mit einem Kühlwassereintritt 7 und einem Öleintritt 8 und am gegenüberliegenden Ende mit einem Kühlwasseraustritt 9, sowie einem Ölübertritt 10 zum Ölfilter 3 versehen. Das Kühlwasser umströmt also den Ölkühler 4 auf ganzer Länge und nimmt dabei die Wärme des Schmieröls auf. Das Öl durchströmt den Ölfilter 3 und gelangt über einen Ölrücklaufkanal 11 zu den Schmierstellen.
An das Gehäuse 6 ist auch das Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider unmittelbar angeschlossen. Die ölhaltige Luft im Kurbelgehäuse 2 tritt vom Kurbelgehäuse 2 in einem Übertrittsquerschnitt 14, siehe Fig. 2, der in das Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider mündet, wo Luft und Öl getrennt wird. Die entölte Luft kann über einen Luftkanal 15 entweichen, während das Öl über einen Ölrücklaufkanal 16 in eine Ölwanne 17 zurückfließt. Die Mündung des Ölrücklaufkanals 16 liegt unter dem Ölspiegel in der Ölwanne 17.
Fig. 2 zeigt einen Schnitt II-II durch das Gehäuse 6 mit angrenzendem Kurbelgehäuse 2. Auf das Gehäuse 6 aufgesetzt und mit diesem verbunden sind Ölfilter 3 und Entlüftungssystem 5mit Ölabscheider. Der Ölkühler 4 wird vollkommen vom Gehäuse 6 umschlossen. Das Gehäuse 6 samt Ölfilter 3, Ölkühler 4 und Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider bildet somit erfindungsgemäß eine bauliche Einheit, welche unmittelbar seitlich an das Kurbelgehäuse 2 der Brennkraftmaschine angeflanscht werden kann. Über den Kühlwassereintritt 7 wird Kühlwasser zugeführt, welches den Ölkühler 4 vollständig umströmt. Der Kühlwasseraustritt 9 ist auch aus Fig. 1 zu ersehen. Das im Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider abgeschiedene Öl wird über den Ölrücklaufkanal 16 unter den Ölspiegel in der Ölwanne 17 (Fig. 1) zurückgeführt.
Bei der Ausführungsform nach Fig. 3 sind Ölfilter 3 und Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider integraler Bestandteil des Gehäuses 6. Vorteilhafterweise besteht der Ölfilter 3 aus auswechselbaren Teilen, die in das an Gehäuse 6 angeformte Bauteil eingesetzt werden können. Im übrigen entspricht die Ausführung dem in Fig. 1 dargestellten Ölmodul.
Fig. 4 zeigt im Schnitt IV-IV das Ölmodul, wie es nach Fig. 3 ausgeführt ist. Der Ölfilter 3 ist auswechselbar und wird in das an Gehäuse 6 angeformte Bauteil eingeschoben. Auch das Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider ist unmittelbar an das Gehäuse 6 angeformt.
Gemaß Fig. 5 kann eine Vorabscheidung von Öl in einem Beruhigungsraum 13 vorgenommen werden. Der Beruhigungsraum 13 ist dem Ölmodul 1 vorgeschaltet. Das Ölnebel-Luftgemisch gelangt aus einem Kurbelraum 18 und eine Eintrittsöffnung 12 zunächst in den Beruhigungsraum 13 und von dort nach Abscheidung größerer Öltröpfchen über den Übertrittsquerschnitt 14 in das Ölmodul 1. Das Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider kann nach dieser Bauweise auf die Abscheidung Kleinerer Öltröpfchen hin optimiert werden.
Es ist ohne weiteres einzusehen, daß ein derartiges Ölmodul 1 Montagekosten einspart und erheblich geringeres Bauvolumen aufweist, als wenn Ölfilter 3, Ölkühler 4 und Entlüftungssystem 5 mit Ölabscheider als Einzelelemente ans Kurbelgehäuse 2 angeschlossen werden.

Claims (4)

  1. Ölmodul für Brennkraftmaschinen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Ölmodul (1) als eine bauliche Einheit aus Ölfilter (3), Ölkühler (4) und Entlüftungssystem (5) mit Ölabscheider ausgebildet ist und daß das Ölmodul (1) als Ganzes an die Brennkraftmaschine angeflanscht ist.
  2. Ölmodul nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Ölmodul (1) aus einem Gehäuse (6) gebildet wird, welches den Ölkühler (4) vollständig umschließt, daß das Gehäuse (6) an einem Ende einen Kühlwasser- und Öleintritt (7, 8) und am anderen Ende einen Kühlwasseraustritt (9) und Ölübertritt (10) zu dem an das Gehäuse (6) angebauten Ölfilter (3) aufweist, daß vom Ölfilter (3) ein ins Gehäuse (6) integrierter Ölkanal (11) zu den Schmierstellen führt, daß die dem Kurbelgehäuse (2) zugewandte Seitenfläche des Gehäuses (6) einen im Gehäuse (6) integrierten Übertrittsquerschnitt (14) besitzt, welcher mit dem Kurbelgehäuse (2) kommuniziert, und daß dieser Übertrittsquerschnitt (14) m ein an das Gehäuse (6) angeschlossenes Entlüftungssystem (5) mit Ölabscheider mündet, welches seinerseits einen Luftkanal (15) und einen Ölrücklaufkanal (16) aufweist, der in eine Ölwanne (17) mündet.
  3. Ölmodul nach den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Ölmodul (1) aus einem Gehäuse (6) gebildet wird, welches den Ölkühler (4) vollständig umschließt und ein Bauteil für den Ölfilter (3) und das Entlüftungssystem (5) mit Ölabscheider an das Gehäuse (6) angeformt ist, wobei der Ölfilter (3) einen auswechselbaren Filtereinsatz aufweist.
  4. Ölmodul nach den Ansprüchen 1 und 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß dem Ölmodul (1) ein Beruhigungsraum (13) vorgeschaltet ist, derart, daß der Beruhigungsraum (13) eine Eintrittsöffnung (12) zum Kurbelraum (18) hin aufweist und über den Übertrittsquerschnitt (14) mit dem Ölmodul (1) kommuniziert.
