Definitions

  • the invention relates to a headlight unit with a switching device according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • the vehicle headlamp has a unit consisting of reflector, diaphragm arrangement and lens, which is inserted into a housing which can be opened from the rear. Between the reflector and the lens which consists of a fixed aperture and an adjustable or pivotable aperture diaphragm assembly is used, which is adjustable by an adjusting device in two end positions.
  • the adjustable aperture is pivoted by a two-armed actuating lever which is pivotally mounted on the reflector edge.
  • the free end of the one arm of the two-armed actuating lever is provided with a slot into which a tongue rigidly connected to the panel projects, and the free end of the other arm is bent twice in such a way that the free end portion of the arm, that of the incandescent lamp, receiving socket is adjacent and through an opening which is formed on the back as an access opening to the reflector, can be operated.
  • a disadvantage of the known and basically proven switching device is that it is relatively complex and expensive, and that it can not be used for reflectors or low-beam headlamps with gas discharge lamps, for example xenon lamps, since the components of the xenon dipped-beam headlight are not Ignition of the arc can be classified by a high voltage pulse as security parts in which access by the customer is undesirable and therefore structurally secured, so that pivoting of the pivotable aperture on the access opening to the low beam headlight is no longer given.
  • a switching device for a diaphragm arrangement of a headlamp which has an adjustable aperture and a fixed aperture.
  • the adjustable aperture is pivotally mounted on the stationary panel and can be locked in two end positions.
  • an operating lever provided, which is arranged within a housing of the headlamp.
  • a switching device for a diaphragm arrangement of a headlamp which has a fixed aperture and a pivotable aperture.
  • the pivotable diaphragm is operated by means of an actuating element which is arranged within the housing of the headlight.
  • EP 0 381 851 A1 discloses a switching device for a diaphragm arrangement, which is disposed in front of the reflector of a vehicle headlight and has a stationary diaphragm and a pivotable diaphragm.
  • the pivotable aperture is pivotable via a positioner which can be operated through an upper opening of a housing wall of the vehicle headlamp, with a free end of the actuator designed as an angle lever protrudes through this opening of the housing wall.
  • a disadvantage of the known switching device is that an opening must be provided in the region of a housing wall of the vehicle headlight associated with the switching device.
  • Object of the present invention is therefore to improve a switching device for a diaphragm assembly of a headlamp unit containing at least two vehicle headlights so that they can be easily and inexpensively manufactured and from the rear housing, but not over the protected area of the reflector operable.
  • the actuator is connected at one end fixed to the pivotable aperture, can be dispensed with a special pivot axis for the actuator and an additional tongue into which the actuator with its free end.
  • the opening is formed on the rear wall of the housing as an access opening for a high beam headlamp.
  • the high beam headlamp has a reflector, which is upstream of the reflector of the low beam headlamp in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
  • the actuator with its front side facing away from the front panel of a front leading edge of a holder and with its rear facing the rear panel of a rear leading edge of the holder adjacent.
  • the actuator is thus held in a guide slot, which is formed by two leading edges against overpressure.
  • the actuator with its the holder-facing underside in a lower position against a lower stop edge of the holder can be stopped.
  • a precisely defined stop edge thus prevents an overshift.
  • the pivotable diaphragm at its end facing away from its pivot axis has a stop which can be abutted against an upper edge of the stationary diaphragm in the vertical direction.
  • a dipped-beam headlamp (1) together with a neighboring high-beam headlamp (2) forms a headlamp unit (3).
  • the dipped beam headlamp (1) consists essentially of a reflector (4) with xenon lamp (5), aperture arrangement (6) with switching device (7) and lens (8).
  • the low-beam headlight (1) and the high-beam headlight (2) are arranged in a housing (9), the housing rear wall (10) the reflector (4) of the low beam headlamp (1) is upstream and a protected against access to the customer access opening (11) and in the area a reflector (12) of the high beam headlamp (2) has an upstream, accessible to customers access opening (13) to the high beam headlamp (2) or to the reflector (12).
  • the diaphragm arrangement (6) consists essentially of a stationary diaphragm (14) and a pivotable diaphragm (15).
  • the pivotable diaphragm (15) is pivotally connected via a pivot axis (16) with the fixed aperture (14).
  • the switching device (7) is essentially formed by a controller (17).
  • the actuator (17) is connected at one end (18) fixed to the pivotable diaphragm (15), for example by a TOX-joining process.
  • the actuator (17) is arranged in its longitudinal direction substantially transversely to a reflector axis (19) of the reflector (4) and thus extends in or parallel to the plane (20) of the pivotable diaphragm (15).
  • the actuator (17) protrudes with its free end (21) beyond the reflector (4) so far that it is in the region of an opening (22), which is formed by the access opening (13) of the high beam headlamp (2), protrudes and after removal of a cap (23) from the rear wall (10) forth via the access opening (13) is operable.
  • the stationary diaphragm (14) of the left low-beam headlamp (1) has a holder (26) in its lower left-hand region.
  • the holder (26) has a free end (27) which is arranged approximately at right angles to the free end (21) of the actuator (17).
  • the free end (27) of the holder (26) has a guide slot (28) in which the free end (21) of the actuator (17) is guided.
  • the pivotable panel (15) facing away from the front side (29) of the actuator (17) is guided by the front side (29) adjacent the front leading edge (30) of the guide slot (28).
  • the pivotable panel (15) facing the rear side (31) of the actuator (17) is guided by the adjacent rear leading edge (32) of the guide slot (28).
  • the lower boundary of the guide slot (28) serves as a lower stop edge (33), against which the underside (34) of the actuator (17) facing it abuts in the lower switching position (35) for symmetrical light.
  • a stop (36) is arranged against an upper vertical aperture edge (37) of the fixed aperture (14) in an upper switching position (38) for asymmetric Light is beatable.
  • the stationary diaphragm (14') has a holder (39) in the lower right-hand region, adjacent to the front side (29) of the actuator (17) leading leading edge (40) forms, which prevents over-pressing of the actuator (17).
  • the holder (39) has a lower stop edge (41) against which the underside (34) of the actuator (17) abuts in a lower switch position (38 ') for asymmetric light.
  • the holder (39) At a distance to the lower stop edge (41), the holder (39) has a parallel upper stop edge (42) against which the actuator (17) with its upper side (43) facing away from the underside (34) in an upper switching position (35 '. ) for symmetrical light strikes.
  • a left low beam headlight (1 ") for left-hand traffic according to FIG. 5 has a holder (39) which corresponds in mirror image to the holder (39) in the lower left region of its stationary diaphragm (14").
  • the pivot axis (16), which connects the stationary diaphragm (14 ") with the pivotable diaphragm (15"), is located in the upper right region of the diaphragm (14 ", 15").
  • a holder (45) which corresponds to the holder (26) in mirror image is located in the lower right-hand area of the stationary diaphragm (14"').
  • the xenon lamp (5) is arranged at a focal point of the ellipsoidal or freeform reflector (4).
  • a second focal point of the reflector (1) is the diaphragm arrangement (6) and the focal point of the downstream lens (8).
  • the contour of the diaphragm arrangement (6) defines the so-called light-dark boundary. In the switch position (38, 38 ') for asymmetrical light, only the contour of the stationary diaphragm (14, 14', 14 ", 14"') comes into play.
