Definitions
- the invention relates to a switch connector with in contact chambers Insulating body arranged contact elements, the contact elements have at least one resilient arm within the contact chambers, where contact knife of a corresponding mating connector in the Contact chambers are insertable and thereby with the contact elements in Contact and provided at least one short circuit bridge which short-circuits two contact elements when the mating connector is not inserted and wherein when inserting the knife contacts into the contact chambers the short circuit is released.
- Such switch plugs are used in electronic systems in contacts or contacts selected when disconnecting a connector Contact elements of one connector, namely the switch connector, not end as "open” contacts (signal lines), but with each other need to be connected.
- the contact chambers of the socket strip are each equipped with a two-leg spring contact, which ensures the receiving and contacting the blade contacts of the mating connector.
- the spring legs of two adjacent spring contacts to be connected to one another each have switching lugs on one of the two spring legs, which protrude into the open space between these contact chambers such that the switching lugs overlap when the male connector is not plugged in and make an electrical connection with one another.
- the spring legs of the socket contacts are deflected in such a way that the switching lugs between the contact chambers move away from one another and the electrical connection between these two contacts is removed.
- the contact force in the short-circuited condition and the contact distances in the not short-circuited Status When not short-circuited, i.e. H. when plugged in Knife strip, the spring legs are deflected by ⁇ 1 ⁇ 2 knife width, so that only a maximum contact distance corresponding to the knife thickness, minus the thickness of the contact bridge. An enlargement the contact spacing can only be achieved by reducing the contact bridge thickness can be achieved, but then at the same time smaller contact forces in the short-circuited state.
- the invention has for its object a switch connector of the beginning mentioned type in such a way that the bounce behavior during the mating process, the contact resistance in the switched state, and the contact distance in the non-switched state to a for technical Requirements are brought to a significantly improved level.
- the advantages achieved by the invention are in particular that a reduced bounce behavior during insertion and removal process and thus Information error pulses are avoided, with smaller contact resistances due to high contact forces when switched, and larger ones Contact distances (clearances and creepage distances) when not switched available. This ensures safe and clear switching behavior achieved.
- the switch connector shown in FIG. 1 essentially consists of an insulating body 1 , which is provided with contact chambers 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D , into which contact elements 3 are mounted and fastened from the underside 4 , the contact elements 3 being designed as contact spring legs 5 are.
- the contact chambers 2 are arranged in rows and columns, and the shape and plug geometry of the switch plug is such that a corresponding mating plug with knife contacts can be plugged in with it.
- the overall connector geometry is designed according to standard DIN connectors.
- Two adjacent each other to be switched contact chambers are each provided with an additional switching element 6, the contact spring arm short circuit in unmated knife contacts 7 5 in this contact chambers via a short-circuiting bridge 8 and are moved away when plugged blade contacts 7 of the shorting bar 8, so that the short circuit repealed is.
- FIG. 2 shows an enlarged partial view of the switch connector from FIG. 1 with open contact chambers 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D on the upper side 9 of the insulating body of the insulating body 1 .
- the additional switching elements 6 are mounted in the contact chambers 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D and the short-circuit bridge 8 is continuously positioned through two contact chambers 2A, 2B and 2C, 2D .
- FIG. 3 shows a sectional view of the switch connector through the contact chambers 2A, 2C equipped with the switching elements .
- the switched short-circuit state is shown in the contact chamber 2A
- the non-switched state is shown in the contact chamber 2C when the knife contacts 7 are inserted.
- the switching elements 6 mounted in the openings 10 from the top of the insulating body 9 consist of a switching spring leg 11 and a fastening leg 12 which is equipped with laterally shaped, spear-like latching hooks 13 or with lateral fastening spring elements.
- the switching element is bent overall in a U-shape, the two legs 11 and 12 being arranged side by side.
- the switching element 6 can thus be pressed and positioned into the contact chambers 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D through the openings 10 .
- the short-circuit bridge 8 projects through the contact chambers at the level of the contact points of the spring and switching contacts and is inserted into the cover 14 as shown in FIG. 4, which serves to close the opening 10 .
- the cover is produced as a plastic injection-molded part, the short-circuit bridge being extrusion-coated with the cover material. It can equally well be provided that the short-circuit bridge is inserted into the insulating body.
- the short-circuit bridge 8 is positioned so that its contact legs 15 are at a level with the deflected, loaded contact spring legs 5 . It is fixed on the one hand via the cover 14 and on the other hand with blind holes in the chamber walls 16 , into which the extended contact legs 17 of the short-circuit bridge 8 protrude.
- the switching function is illustrated in FIGS. 5A, 5B and 6A, 6B.
- the short-circuit bridge 8 is shaped in such a way that it is guided around the contact spring leg 5 and cannot contact it directly.
- the contact legs 15 of the short-circuit bridge 8 are at the level of the deflected contact spring legs 5 .
- the contact spring legs 5 are deflected by the switching elements 6 until the switching spring legs 11 strike against the contact legs 15 of the short-circuit bridge 8 .
Abstract
