Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact spring with two spring arms and a mating side on the spring arms integrally connected connector for connecting an electrical Conductor, as well as with a locking device for primary locking the contact spring within an associated housing opening the contact spring.
- Such contact springs are for example in DE 3 248 078 C2 and DE-GM 9 202 365.7.
- These contact springs the for example on a large scale as a connector in the Automotive engineering used have two separately parts to be manufactured from one another, namely a base spring and an over-spring to be put over the base spring or Called locking sleeve.
- the basic spring has on its plug side the end facing the contact spring has two spring arms, at the end facing away from the plug side of the contact spring integrally molded on a connector for an electrical conductor is.
- the base spring is preferably a stamped and bent part and exists because of the necessary good electrical properties preferably made of galvanized brass, galvanized Copper or so-called spring bronze.
- the spring to be put over essentially has the function that Increase spring force of the contact spring and through training with one or more locking tongues a releasable locking the contact spring in a contact chamber of a housing To enable insulation material.
- the releasable locking of the Contact spring through such locking tabs is also used as the primary locking designated.
- the spring is usually made of a material with good spring properties and can also be produced as a stamped and bent part. Suitable as a material sheet metal, for example.
- the present invention has for its object a Specify contact spring compared to the previously known Contact springs with much less effort is producible and nevertheless a secure primary locking the contact spring within an associated housing opening allowed.
- the invention is essentially based on the fact that the spring arms, the connecting part and the locking device of the contact spring are in one piece with each other. Furthermore the contact spring is orthogonal in the area of the spring arms to the longitudinal axis X and at least approximately G-shaped cross section on with a first ceiling and a bottom wall, of which each face in Towards the plug side of the contact spring of one of the two spring arms stretched out.
- the first ceiling wall and the floor wall are connected to a side wall, with one running parallel to the first side wall and on the bottom wall connected second side wall over the first ceiling wall extends. On this second side wall is the end parallel to the first ceiling wall molded second ceiling wall, in which at least one locking element for primary locking of the contact spring is arranged.
- this is for primary locking provided locking element in an additional Sheet level, which is above the level of one of the two spring arms is arranged.
- the spring lengths of the locking element e.g. B. a locking tongue
- the underlying spring arm be optimally dimensioned independently of each other.
- Material can be saved compared to conventional ones Contact springs with base spring and over spring.
- a Own assembly process in which the spring over the base spring is put over and there is a suitable latching, e.g. B. is provided in the form of a bead, omitted advantageously.
- This locking tongue facing away from the spring arms is preferably provided with an expression.
- Such Expression on the locking tongue prevents that during disassembly the contact spring from the contact chamber of an associated one Housing the locking tongue with its front edge hooked on the contact chamber wall of the associated housing.
- the two side walls are sufficient to protect the two spring arms and the second ceiling wall at least approximately to to the contact zone or to the spring inlet of the contact spring.
- at least one of the both side walls up to the front end of the spring arms extends, creating a stop surface of the contact spring at the front edge of the corresponding Side wall is provided. This avoids that the spring arms in the event of improper handling of the contact spring are accidentally bent and thus a safe one Entry of an associated contact pin is no longer guaranteed is.
- a spacer flap on one of the two spring arms preferably however, two such spacer tabs on one Side of this spring arm, molded, this or support these spacer tabs on the opposite spring arm. Due to the preferred arrangement of the spacer tabs on both sides there is a parallel support of the spring arms on the spring arm guaranteed on the contact pin.
- At least one of the two side walls is provided with a contact surface that is over the outer contour of the spring arm formed on the bottom wall extends out. Both side walls are preferably with such a contact surface to protect the lower one Spring arm provided.
- the second has Ceiling wall on the plug side of the contact spring Corner a recess into which the first one below Side wall engages.
- the free edge of the second The ceiling wall is for this with at least one recess into which the one connected to the first ceiling wall Edge of the first side wall with a corresponding projecting Section engages.
- a recess or a projecting section on the connecting part facing edge of the second ceiling wall or the first Side wall are provided.
- Figure 1 is a first embodiment of a contact spring according to the invention in four different perspective Views, namely diagonally from the top right and diagonally from top left, and diagonally from bottom right and diagonally from shown at the bottom left.
- the contact spring has a spring contact part 1 Spring arms 3, 4 and one on the spring arms 3, 4 opposite one piece connected to the plug side of the contact spring Connection part 2 for connecting an electrical conductor.
- this connecting part is 2 formed as an IDC connector, which is known as such.
- IDC connector which is known as such.
- others can also any connecting parts, e.g. B. a crimp connection Insulation displacement connection, a double insulation displacement connection or the like can be provided. Only that is essential one-piece connection of this connector 2 to the spring contact part 1.
- the spring contact part 1 has in the area of Spring arms 3, 4 an orthogonal to the longitudinal axis X, at least approximately G-shaped cross section. This will clear from the sectional view of the contact spring in Figure 2, which the cross section of the contact spring along in the figure 1 shows the sectional plane S.
- the contact spring has a first top wall 10 and a bottom wall 12 on, of which each face towards the mating side the contact spring of one of the two spring arms 3, 4 extends away.
- the spring arms 3, 4 run - starting from the connecting part 2 - first to each other up to a contact zone 7, on which a spring arm 4 on a longitudinal edge with a in Direction on the other spring leg 3 ripped out spacer 5 is designed as a spring opening contour.
- Spring arm 4 is on both sides at its edges with such Spacer flaps 5, 6 formed, which are in the area of Support contact zone 7 on opposite spring arm 3. From this contact zone 7, the spring arms 3, 4 run funnel-shaped apart. The front ends of the spring arms 3, 4 are marked with the reference numbers 3 a and 4 a.
- the box-shaped spring contact part 1 is included a first side wall 11, which the first ceiling wall 10 and the bottom wall 12 connects to each other. How seen from Figure 2, this first side wall connects 11 the right-hand edges of the first ceiling wall 10 and the bottom wall 12. On the first side wall 11 opposite edge of the bottom wall 12 closes a second side wall 13, which is based on the Bottom wall 12 upwards and parallel to the first side wall 11 extends.
- the second side wall 13 projects over the first ceiling wall 10 and is parallel to the end to the first ceiling wall 10 running second ceiling wall 14 connected.
- the second ceiling wall 14 is like this broadly designed so that they reach about the top edge of the first Ceiling wall 11 is enough.
- the free edge of the second ceiling wall 14 flush with the outer Surface of the first side wall 11.
- the two longitudinal legs parallel to the longitudinal axis X of the contact spring and are approximately the same spaced from the center axis of the second ceiling wall 14 are.
- one Locking tongue 17 as a locking element along that shown in Figure 1 Bend line 22 bent out so that the front Edge 17 a from the surface of the second ceiling wall 14 is lifted off and points towards connection part 2.
- an expression 18 is arranged, which prevents the locking tongue 17 when dismantling the contact, that is Pulling the contact spring out of an associated contact chamber with its front edge 17 a on the contact chamber wall hooked.
- the front ends close and ends of the first side wall facing the plug side 11, the second side wall 13 and the second Ceiling wall 14 approximately flush with each other and protrude approximately to the area of the spring arms 3, 4 in which the spacer tabs 5, 6 of the spring arm 4 on the opposite spring arm Toast 3.
- the first side wall is clearly visible on the contact spring 11 and the second side wall 13 each with Support surfaces 15 provided, which over the outer contour of the extend on the bottom wall 12 connected spring arm 4.
- These bearing surfaces 15 of the two side walls 11, 13 thus protrude beyond the contact spring chamber inside bent lower spring arm 4 so that when The contact spring rests on a plate or the like the spring arm 4 is effectively protected.
- the second top wall 14 lies with its free edge 14 a on the first ceiling 10th connected edge 11 a of the first side wall 11, and in such a way that the free edge 14 a is approximately flush with the outer Surface of the first side wall 11 closes.
- Recess 21 in the underlying side wall 11 engages with a projecting portion 20.
- the recess 21 of the second ceiling wall 14 formed in that the free edge 14 a second ceiling wall 14 on the plug side of the contact spring the L-shaped side. In these Recess 21 engages a rectangular projecting section 20 of the side wall 11, so that the second Ceiling wall 14 and the first side wall 11 mutually wedge.
- the excerpt is shown in Figure 3, the first side wall 11, both on their facing the plug side of the contact spring End as well as at the end facing the connector 2 be provided with a protruding portion 20, which in associated Recesses of the second ceiling wall 14 engages.
- the contact spring is in the second top wall 14 both on the edge facing the mating side and on the connecting part 2 pointing edge each with a preferably L-shaped designed recess 21 into which the two projecting portions 20 of the first side wall 11 engage. This will ensure that the second Ceiling wall 14 neither in the direction of connection part 2 nor in Mating side can be moved because of both directions of movement the second side wall 14, the free edge 14 a strikes the projecting portions 20 of the side wall 11.
- the one Another embodiment of a contact spring based on the Clarity because only the contact part shown 1 shows, it can be seen at least one of the two Side walls, here the first side wall 11, over the end 3 a, 4 a of the spring arms 3, 4 extend beyond.
- the one facing the plug side of the contact spring End face 11 b thus forms a stop surface of the contact spring in an associated contact chamber of the contact spring.
- both can Side walls 11, 13 of the contact spring on the front
- the ends 3 a, 4 a of the spring arms 3, 4 protrude.
- the face 14 b of the second ceiling wall 14 can, but must not in the direction of connection part 2 of the contact spring behind the End faces 11 b and 13 b of the first side wall 11 and second side wall 13 may be arranged set back. This makes the effective stop surface of the contact spring enlarged within an associated contact chamber and thus achieved a higher greater strength of the contact spring.
