Description
The present invention relates to an assembly machine by twisting conductive cables, intended in particular for transmission data and the creation of telephone connections.
It is common to carry out building wiring, in order to data transmission inside it, this wiring being carried out from cables, comprising four pairs of wires twisted together, each pair of wires being itself assembled beforehand by twisting. A wire consists of a central copper conductor, surrounded by a sheath of insulating material. The twist on the wire may degrade the quality, modify the geometry and physical characteristics of it, by separation between the copper element and the surrounding insulation. Now, for high information rates of up to 600 MHz, it is imperative that the cable has no electrical fault.
A first solution for making a traditional cable consists in forming a pair from two wires unwound on two reels, the two wires passing over a lyre performing the assembly by twisting of two sons. The pair thus obtained is wound on a reel. Four spools of pairs of wires are unwound simultaneously in order to achieve an assembly of the four pairs of wires by twisting using a lyre.
It is also possible to make a cable with four twisted pairs in a single step, using a device called twinner group comprising four sets, each set comprising a lyre mounted on a frame, which assembles by twist of two wires which are unwound from two coils housed in the volume of revolution of the lyre. Twisted pairs leaving the group twinner are assembled using a single or double machine torsion. Given the drawbacks inherent in successive twists in the same direction as a wire undergoes, it is desirable to proceed, to each wire, at a first twist in the opposite direction to the pairing twist and assembly, so that the finished wire undergoes the least stress possible, and that the resulting twist on the wire is lower.
The implementation of such a solution requires proceeding in several successive stages.
The object of the invention is to provide an assembly machine by twisting of conductive cables intended for data transmission, which allows in particular the production of cables during a single step in which each wire undergoes a prior reverse twist.
This machine has the general geometry of a machine so-called twinner group, with the additional possibility of performing, for each wire, two twists in opposite directions, one twist in a first direction then a twinning twist in a second direction so obtain a twisted pair in which the wires have the least possible residual stress.
It is possible to have a wire on each reel, so to obtain a twisted pair at the outlet of the machine. Four machines this type can be combined so as to assemble simultaneously and parallel four pairs of wires per twist.
According to another possibility it is possible to have two parallel wires wound on each coil. The first twist performed by means of a small lyre allows to assemble the two wires unwound from the same reel. The large lyre allows the assembly of four wires previously assembled two by two.
According to another possibility, it is possible to reverse the direction of the machine. The wires coming from the outside undergo a double twist in the big lyre then another double twist in one of the small lyres and are wound on the reel carried by the cradle. These measures allows assembly in quadruple twist.
In any case, the invention will be well understood using the description which follows, with reference to the appended schematic drawing, representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of this machine intended for the formation of a pair of wires.
Figure 1 is a side view of an installation comprising four machines according to the invention and making it possible to obtain a cable made up of four pairs of wires.
Figure 2 is a top view of this machine.
Figure 3 is a top view in partial section of the machine according to the invention.
Figure 4 is a perspective view schematically illustrating the path of the wires inside the machine.
machines grouped two by two. The two groups of machines are
axially aligned with each other. Each
Each machine comprises a
On the
To stabilize the coil and prevent any risk of entanglement
in rotation of the support thereof and of the large cradle inside the

possible. The route of each wire from a
According to an alternative embodiment, it would be possible to have
two wires in parallel on each
As appears from what precedes, the invention provides a great improvement to the existing technique by providing a machine making it possible to obtain assembled wires in a single operation, with the possibility of twisting these wires before assembling them one to the other by twisting.
It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the single form execution of this machine described above by way of example; she in on the contrary embraces all variants. This is how, in particular, shape of the lyres, the arrangement of the coils could be different, or although the means of training small lyres could be different, without departing from the scope of the invention.
