Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for cleaning the floor, in particular a vacuum cleaner, with a suction device, on the housing of which a first handle is attached.
According to the prior art, vacuum cleaners are known which essentially consist of a suction device to which a suction pipe, which is mostly flexible and is provided with a suction nozzle, is connected. In such vacuum cleaners, a fixed handle is attached to the suction pipe connection-side end of the housing of the suction device.
Since this handle is not cut by a horizontal plane running through the center of gravity of the suction device, the suction device positions itself in an inclined position that deviates from the vertical, which impedes the suction device from being carried. - The protruding handle made of injection molded plastic over the contour of the housing is composed of an upper and a lower handle half. The upper half of the handle is in one piece with an upper half shell and the lower half in one piece with a lower half shell. The composite handle thus has a parting line.
When the intake manifold is connected to the housing, carrying the handle near the intake manifold connection makes it difficult or difficult to carry the intake device. A further impairment of the wearing comfort is caused by the fact that the suction device assumes an inclined position when it is being carried, so that it has to be kept away from the body with a certain amount of effort. The handle protruding over the contour of the housing is detrimental to a compact, space-saving housing design. In addition, contaminants that are difficult to remove accumulate disadvantageously in the joint formed on the handle.
The object of the present invention is to eliminate the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, a handle arrangement is to be specified with which the wearing comfort of the device can be improved and at the same time a compact construction of the suction device can be achieved.
Advantageous developments of the invention result from the features of
According to the invention, it is provided that the first handle is arranged on the top of the housing so that a central handle section is pierced by a straight line passing through the center of gravity of the suction device, the position of which is cut by the intersection of the large vertical plane of the housing with a perpendicular one small vertical plane is defined. - The arrangement according to the invention has the advantage that the device can be carried without hindrance by a suction pipe connected to it, in the worn state it does not assume an inclined position due to the handle arrangement above the center of gravity, so that the wearing comfort is improved.
The first handle is advantageously arranged parallel to the large vertical plane of the housing. The large vertical plane can be identical to the plane of symmetry of the handle.
The contour of the top of the first handle expediently forms a continuous continuation of the contour of the top of the housing. Since the top of the first handle consequently does not rise above the contour specified by the top of the housing, the housing can be made particularly compact and space-saving.
A suitably semicircular design of the underside of the first handle contributes to a further increase in the Comfort. According to a further embodiment, the first handle spans a first recessed grip formed in the upper side of the housing. The design of the first handle, which extends from one bank of the recessed grip to the opposite bank, ensures that it is held particularly well on the housing.
According to a further embodiment, a second handle is provided on the suction pipe connection end of the device, which further facilitates the handling of the device. A second recessed grip can extend from the bottom of the housing in the direction of the top of the housing. In order to prevent the hand from slipping off the second handle, an inwardly projecting handle bead can be formed on the handle.
An embodiment that is advantageous in terms of production technology consists in forming the housing from an upper and a lower housing half-shell, each made of injection-molded plastic, wherein the first handle and the first recessed grip can be produced in one piece with the upper housing half-shell. The second handle and the second recessed grip can also be produced in one piece with the lower housing half-shell.

The exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 1 is a floor vacuum cleaner which has a
The upper housing half-
At the intake pipe connection-
Since the
As shown in Fig. 2, the position of the handle in the center of gravity of the vacuum cleaner enables the attachment of a carrying strap T directly on the handle. In this case, the shoulder strap is simply wrapped around the handle and with a Buckle or a clip - not shown in the exemplary embodiment - connected. The canister can be carried on the shoulder of an operator with a suitably length-adjusted shoulder strap. It is also conceivable that the shoulder strap is formed so that the vacuum cleaner can be carried on the back.
Fig. 3 shows the attachment of the shoulder strap T at two fixed points F1, F2 which are arranged at approximately the same distance from the central handle. In this case, the fixed points F1, F2 are designed as slots which extend into the upper part of the housing in a sack-like manner. Fastening means which are attached to the two ends of the carrying strap T can be inserted and locked into these slots. The locking can be done by resilient locking tongues, which are not shown in detail. When the fastener is fully inserted, the latching tongues snap into the sack-shaped slots with a projection provided thereon. This ensures a secure hold of the fasteners. By pushing catch springs back against their spring force, the fastening means can then be released again and pulled out of the slots F1, F2.
