Abstract

A sports boot has the two side-pieces (110) of its upper joined by a bootlace (4) passed through loops (30) of a supple material which is resistant to traction. Each loop contains a guide with an anti-friction surface (310) for the lace, possessing sufficient rigidity to prevent it from being deformed by the pressure of the lace. Each loop is made from a strip of a textile material, while its guide is made from a low-friction plastic such as PTFE, PTCFE, FEP, nylon, polyamide, polyethylene or polyacetal.

Description

The present invention relates to the field of sports shoes; in particularly the field of technical footwear of the hiking, surfing type snow, inline skating, paragliding, etc.

A sports shoe of the aforementioned type traditionally comprises a sole and an upper provided with an opening for the passage of the foot and comprising on either side of this opening return means or passers-by who cooperate with one or more tightening means such as a lace to ensure by tightening, the partial closing of the opening.

For certain shoes, the return means located on the top of a part of the stem are under pressure under various circumstances. Some snowboard boots, for example, are intended to cooperate with a binding comprising transverse straps which exert pressure on the above the foot; and therefore compress the referral means or passersby. It has been found that bulky and rigid passers-by such as metal or plastic hooks, loops or eyelets can cause hard spots; which can cause a foot pain problem and also deform the strap in places more or less permanently.

The document EP-A-0717942 describes a passer-by for lace made up of an external envelope and a viewfinder.

Certain hiking shoes or others, which have a device for internal tightening of part of the rod, encounter a similar problem. In in this case, the internal part of the rod comprises return means which undergo a pressure from an external rod part after tightening of the latter by different means (lacing, velcro, zipper, ..). These pressures again cause discomfort or distortion of the shoe that is best avoided.

To remedy this problem, it is known to use flexible loops and tensile-resistant in the form of textile bands folded into a loop and connected to the rod to limit their size and promote their deformation under the effect of external pressure.

An example of such use is given in document FR-A-2 726 440 which relates to a sports shoe comprising an internal tightening device at the instep level and an external rod for protection against attack which encloses the internal device and therefore exerts pressure on the means of returning the device.

These removal means are not entirely satisfactory, however.

The friction undergone by the lace is high. In addition, the lace distorts the strip narrowing its width due to the deflection angle which creates additional friction and can lead to premature wear of the loop, or even at the break of it.

The aim of the present invention is therefore to provide a satisfactory solution to the disadvantages set out above.

This object is achieved by using a referral means or element which includes a guide element connected to said loop and having a surface of sliding for the passage of the clamping means inside the loop according to a passage plan P; the guide element having sufficient rigidity in plane P to resist deformation when the power is turned on clamping means.

Such a return means has the advantages of a limited size and significant flexibility while reducing friction with the lace; him thus ensuring a good yield and a long service life.

  • Figure 2 is a simplified perspective view of a shoe according to the invention;

  • Figure 5 is a sectional view AA of the view of Figure 4;
  • Figure 6 is a sectional view BB of the view of Figure 5;

Referring to Figure 1, this is an example of application of a shoe of the invention which makes it possible to highlight one of the problems techniques already mentioned.

Shoe 1 is a snowboard boot comprising a flexible upper or semi-flexible 10 and a clamping device 11 of the rod. In the configuration shown, the boot is in position in a traditional surf binding 2 which has the particularity of comprising a base 20 intended to be attached to a board (not shown) and two straps 20, 21 which firmly hold the boot in base 20.

The straps 20, 21 therefore exert significant pressure locally on the clamping device; hence the need to provide suitable return means to avoid the risks of discomfort and others previously mentioned.

As shown in Figure 2, the solution involves the use of means of return 3 comprising a closed loop 30 made of flexible material resistant to traction.

The shoe of figure 2 has been deliberately simplified so as not to bring out that the essence of the invention. The rod has a portion 110; in the anterior portion or upper, which is provided with an opening 12 delimiting two quarters 110a, 110b to be tightened.

A tightening means such as a lace 4 is provided to circulate through each loop 30 according to a crossed circuit and alternating a return means and its opposite, for example; which brings the neighborhoods towards one the other.

Such a lacing method is not the only possible realization, well heard.

L'opération de laçage peut ainsi devenir fastidieuse et longue.FIG. 3 which illustrates the prior art, shows the major fault caused on the means of reference. The loop 30 which is in the form of a portion of strap connected to the rod portion 110, undergoes significant traction from the tightening means or lace 4. The angle of return 'a' being relatively small when the loops are brought together, there is deformation of the strap by reduction of width and therefore appearance of frictional forces which oppose the sliding of the lace in the loop. This may have consequence of affecting the uniformity of the tightening, in particular at the end, when we pull on the ends of the lace. Then tighten again by pulling new on each lace strand between two loops. The operation of lacing can thus become tedious and long.

This friction can lead to premature wear of the strap of the loop until break possible.

Means of reference 3 shown includes a closed loop identical to that of Figure 3 but which is associated with a guide element 31.

As shown in FIG. 5, the guide element 31 has a surface of sliding 310 for the passage of the clamping means 4 inside the loop flexible 30 along a passage plane P. The function of this surface is to facilitate the passage and sliding of the clamping means 4. The plane P is taken for reference in order to facilitate the explanations and corresponds approximately to the plan of the path of the lace 4 in the vicinity of each return means. Of course, the plan P may vary from region to region of shoe due to the curved shape of the stem.

Another important characteristic of the guide element is that it has a certain rigidity in the plane P thus defined. This rigidity must be such that the setting under tension of the clamping means cannot cause lateral deformation of the guide element and therefore does not affect the width of the strap of the loop. Thus, the guide element will have a width at least equal to that of the loop.

Le glisssement est quant à lui amélioré par la convexité selon P.Figures 6 and 7 show the particular shape of the sliding surface intended to guide the clamping means 4 to sliding. The sliding surface of the guide element has a generator of convex shape in the plane of passage P and a generator of concave shape in the plane P 'perpendicular to P. The concavity in the plane P 'favors the holding and guiding of the lace in contact with item. The sliding is improved by the convexity according to P.

The throat shape thus defined in general terms is not, however, the only one possible. It is also possible to provide a tubular shape of the surface in order to guarantee yaw guidance in any radial direction.

Preferably, the thicknesses of the lateral edges 310a, 310b of the element guidance will be provided depending on the material used so as to present a some deformability in compression in the direction along the plane P '. From this fact, the hard point phenomenon already mentioned disappears completely.

Toutefois d'autres moyens de liaison peuvent être envisagés comme le rivetage, clippage/pincement, agrafage,....According to another characteristic of the invention, the guide element has a light 311 making it possible to pass the strap portion 30 to the through the guide element and its connection with the guide element. The light passes through the element from one edge 310a to the other 310b. This means of connection has the advantage of being the most resistant and the simplest that can be put in artwork. However, other means of connection can be envisaged such as riveting, clipping / pinching, stapling, ....

As the various figures show, the return means 3 are distributed opposite on each quarter 110a, 110b and are arranged so that each loop has a part connected to one of the districts and a part including said guide element which projects beyond the quarter on the opening 12.

In this way, the guide element takes position in the thickness of the quarter in the event of pressure exerted on the clamping device by an external element; and this in part thanks to the flexibility of the loop. This reduces the risk of point hard.

Preferably, the strap portion is chosen from textile material because of its flexibility and tensile strength properties. In some cases, could possibly consider using portions of strips in rubber or leather. The strap portion is connected to the upper by sewing, preference, or by other means such as riveting, stapling, or a combination of several means. It is also part of the invention of provide a portion of strap as a continuous part of a piece of fabric of the stem.

The guide element is, of course, made of a material of low coefficient of friction. Different materials are likely to be suitable. Advantageously, the guide element is made of a plastic material chosen from PTFE, PTFCE, FEP, nylons, polyamides, polyethylenes, polyacethals.
