Definitions
- the invention relates to a single or multi-pole connector for single conductors according to Preamble of claim 1.
- Such a generic connector is known from DE-28 35 316 C2.
- This is a connector for connecting a multi-core flat cable with a base part with protruding contacts, with a cover and with a locking device by the ends protruding parallel supports with stops and a locking bracket has at the ends of the base, each of which two different from Base part has upwardly extending arms which are joined together by a cross piece are connected, the locking device being a preassembled position and enables a locked position of the cover relative to the base part.
- the slot for receiving the ribbon cable has opposite Surfaces with notch-like bulges.
- a contact connector for flat cables is known from DE-OS 25 45 791, in which a number of parallel guide channels within a contact housing is formed and a contact element within each guide channel is provided with piercing contacts, which consist of a first locking position, in which the piercing contacts are outside the cross slot for inserting a conductor, movable into a second locking position are in which the piercing contacts in the transverse slot for contacting the Pass in the cable cores.
- the disadvantage of this arrangement is that the contact elements are guided securely allows the contact elements to be subjected directly to the relatively high joining forces be, in particular through the slide guide to be provided within of the channel due to unavoidable tolerances an uncertain displaceability the contact elements are present.
- connectors are known from FR-A-2 516 711 and GB-PS 1 293 970, where a contacting element provided with cutting edges in one Slider is arranged and the slider in a guide channel of a housing is slidably movable.
- the slide and the contacting element in The form of a piercing contact can be displaced relative to one another in such a way that the piercing contact the guide channel for making electrical contact with a inserted conductor passes through and at least partially in assigned recesses the slide enters.
- the contact elements of the cutting connection arranged protected from damage within the housing, however is the securing of the slide within the guide channel and its mobility uncertain due to sliding due to unavoidable tolerances.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to make an association between the Slider and piercing contacts of a single or multi-pole connector for single conductors to demonstrate the safe guidance and assignment of slide and lancing contacts guaranteed for the joining movement with the single conductor and beyond high flexibility in the connection of individual conductors and connection elements allowed inside the connector.
- An essential feature of the present invention is that a direct assignment between the slide made of insulating material and the electrical contact for joining the electrical contact with a pluggable Individual conductors ensure safe guidance in the form that the Slider has a bolt-like guide element on which the piercing contact itself is slidably guided. This makes it possible for the slide and Lancing contact are displaced relative to one another along the guide element, that the piercing contact is the channel-like opening for producing an electrical contact with the inserted single conductor and at least partially in assigned recesses of the slide occurs.
- each individual conductor has a separate, securely guided assembly movement between piercing contact, slide and single conductor, whereby in addition to the safe Guide between the lancing contact and the slide, in particular a modular one Structure of the connector from largely identical, separately for each individual conductor predictable connection modules is made possible.
- a modular one Structure of the connector from largely identical, separately for each individual conductor predictable connection modules is made possible.
- tilting the slide component Assembly operations of an entire connector with a partially high one The number of individual conductors is only connected to one individual conductor with the associated connector assemblies of the connector.
- a particularly advantageous embodiment of the present invention in terms of The assignment of piercing contact and slide is that the piercing contact held positively on the bolt-like guide element of the slide and is slidably guided.
- the lancing contact is not guided on its outer circumference in one chamber-like wrapping, but the guidance is carried out by the bolt-like Guide element that is known in the direction of the joining movement into the interior of the Way of a sheet metal part existing piercing contact occurs and a positive Connection with correspondingly assigned areas of the lancing contact forms.
- it is by guiding the lancing contact possible on the bolt-like guide element, the slider and the Lancing contact by sliding the lancing contact onto the guide element of the To assemble Slider to an independently manageable bandage in which due to suitable design and, for example, securing elements, it is also captive between piercing contact and slide can be achieved.
- the lancing contact and the slide in one the channel-like opening can be positioned for individual conductor-releasing assignment, so that during the pre-assembly of the dressing from the lancing contact and slide not accidentally the channel-like opening blocked by the lancing contact and thus a Inserting the single conductor becomes impossible.
- the channel-like opening is for insertion of the single conductor essentially transversely to the main extent of the guide element arranged. This results in that along the bolt-like Guide movement between the slide and piercing contact the insulation of the individual conductor is particularly advantageous due to the piercing contact penetrated and the contact with the inner conductor of the single conductor guaranteed becomes.
- the pre-assembled bandage is made of Slider and piercing contact can be inserted into chamber-like cavities in the housing.
- the connection modules consisting of slide and piercing contact securely accommodated in a housing, for example several such Connection modules encased in the form of a multi-pin connector.
- the slide has at least one Latching element, which when inserted into the housing with at least one locking contour of the housing cooperates and the slide can be locked in the housing sets.
- piercing contact and, if necessary, individual conductors in the housing can still be guaranteed in this way that the connection made between the piercing contact and the individual conductor and slide can no longer come loose after plugging into the housing.
- the connector is thereby an unintentional loosening of the Connection with the single conductor safely prevented.
- a particularly preferred embodiment of the one or multi-pin connector is that the pre-assembled association Slider and piercing contact before connecting the single conductor to the housing is releasably connectable in a pre-locking position.
- the piercing contact is made by Attach to the bolt-like guide element with the slider pre-assembled and this pre-assembled dressing in the chamber-like interior of the housing on the provided connector slot.
- both the pre-assembled bandage of slider and lancing contact is positioned in relation to each other, that the single conductor can be inserted into the channel-like opening, as well, that the joining movement between slide and lancing contact also within the Housing remains executable.
- This pre-locking position is to be determined so that the by Joining movement with the single conductor, displacement of the slide relative for piercing contact without interference from the boundary walls of the Chamber-like interior of the connector can be done.
- the pre-assembled dressing is made Slide and piercing contact during the joining movement with the single conductor at the same time from a pre-locking position into a final locking position relative to the housing of the Connector moved, which in addition to the actual joining of the piercing contact the position of the slide within the single conductor at the same time the housing of the connector is realized. It will therefore only be an assembly movement needed to connect the conductor to the connector assembly and the connector assembly set within the housing.
- the contours of the Housing the piercing contact during the joining movement with the single conductor in particular in the joining direction. This is for example due to the corresponding contours of the Lancing contact achievable with the counter forms of the chamber-like interior of the Interact housing and a displacement of the Limit lancing contact.
- the slide has defined actuation zones to attack tools with which the joining force on the Slider is applied.
- actuation zones to attack tools with which the joining force on the Slider is applied.
- a recess in the slide assembly on the of the side facing away from the piercing contact into which, for example, a Screwdriver or the like can be inserted so that a side Slipping of the screwdriver from the slider is safely prevented. hereby in particular injuries to the operating personnel or damage the connection modules or the plug connectors avoided.
- the pre-assembled Association of slider and piercing contact outside the housing with the single conductor connected.
- the pre-assembled Association of slider and piercing contact is made by suitable Tools in the longitudinal direction of the bolt-like guide element with joining forces acted upon, whereupon a relative movement between the slide and lancing contact is carried out in such a way that the cutting areas of the lancing contact isolate one between Cut the slide and piercing contact of the inserted single conductor and cut one Make electrical contact with the metallic conductor of the single conductor.
- the for the joining of the preassembled bandage of piercing contact and Tools suitable for sliders have functional surfaces that refer to the Shape of the lancing contact and the slide are coordinated and secure Allow support and power absorption when joining.
- the pre-assembled bandage is made from Slider and piercing contact as well as the attached single conductor after execution of the Joining movement inserted together in the housing.
- the dressing is made up of a slide, Lancing contact and single conductor inserted directly into the housing in a final click position.
- This final stop position which is described in the way described above by an assignment of locking element of the slide can be produced with a counter-shape of the housing ensures the position of the pusher and thus the position of the overall association from slider, piercing contact and single conductor within the housing and prevents thus loosening the connection between the piercing contact and the individual conductor.
- connection module must be checked or reassembled.
- This can cause incorrect contacts, for example, if the contacts are damaged press-in process carried out, incorrectly assigned wire cross-sections or the like, only the affected connector assembly can be replaced without the complete connector must be replaced.
- Even with incorrect assignment for example inserting a connection module into the wrong chamber of the Connector, a correction by loosening and locking again Connection module can be reached in the correct chamber.
- connection modules can be colored for labeling purposes, which in particular the Connection modules in accordance with the usual international marking colors are identifiable for electrical potentials. This is especially for pre-assembled Individual conductors a reliable assignment of the individual conductors to the respective Occupancy plans can be achieved without the need for complex external labeling are.
- connection groups it is particularly advantageously possible for the connection groups to have piercing contacts different dimensions depending on the cross sections to be connected of the individual conductors, without the connection module itself being dimensional Must experience changes.
- the dimensions of the Lancing contact on the diameter of the electrically conductive inner parts of the single conductor coordinated, which in particular also through different color coding such connection assemblies the assignment of associated conductor cross-sections to avoid pricking contacts.
- a connector according to the invention can also be partially equipped, that in the multi-pole housing connection modules only in certain chambers of the housing are insertable. This is particularly advantageous if standardized connectors instead of one depending on the actual application fully equipped with single conductors only at certain slots must, in addition, a subsequent retrofitting of the connector is possible with additional single conductors.
- the chambers not equipped with connection modules can be particularly advantageous of such a partially assembled connector can be closed with blind plugs, which can also carry colored markings.
- the direction of insertion of the single conductor in the channel-like Opening and the outgoing direction of the single conductor outside of the housing to each other can form an angle.
- the single conductor is in the area of its exit point from the connector determined in its position by suitable housing contours, for example it is possible to provide a certain angular range in which the single conductor in advantageously between approximately 90 ° and 180 ° relative to the insertion direction of the individual conductor oriented in the channel-like opening, can be pivoted. hereby Can be a defined and a lead-out to promote the clarity of the wiring the single conductor can be realized from the connector.
- the housing can be used to secure the connection between the piercing contact and the individual conductor have molded elements in the area of the conductor outlet from the plug connector, the strain relief by clamping the conductor, for example between Manufacture housing and slide.
- a defined one is advantageously used Passage opening for the single conductor from the housing of the connector created, for example, by clamping the insulation of the assembly Create individual conductors between the housing and slide.
- the housing can be in the area of the conductor outlet Have form elements that provide a strain relief for strain relief Conduct the conductor on the housing in the assembled state of the connection module cause. For example, by appropriately redirecting the individual conductor, which is predetermined by the form elements of the housing, a Frictional contact is made between the individual conductor and the housing or slide be of a transfer of frictional forces even without a frictional Pressing the insulation of the single conductor causes.
- the housing and / or the piercing contact have preferred embodiments Connection elements for mechanical and electrical connection with neighboring ones Assemblies on, here in addition to mechanical locking hooks also the electrical Contacting by means of plug tulips or the like can be provided on the lancing contact are.
- connection modules with the individual conductors on tools that allow assembly of the preassembled module consisting of slide, piercing contact and single conductor also outside of the connector housing.
- the tool is a hand-held pliers the shape of components of the connector adapted jaws, the Pre-assembled module securely held between the jaws of the hand tool is and by pressing the hand tool the joining movement between slide and Lancing contact is carried out.
- such a hand tool can be a magazine have ready-made ready-made connection modules available
- this magazine in the form of a busbar can be formed in which the connector assemblies are evenly oriented Effective zone of the hand tool can be fed.
- the pre-assembled connection modules placed in this magazine in an even orientation and a new preassembled connection module after each operation of the hand tool fed to the jaws of the hand tool.
- the magazine can also be in the form of a coil be on which the connection modules are evenly oriented the effective zone of the Hand forceps can be fed.
- the bracket In addition to the bracket, the pre-assembled Assemblies on belts, belts or the like all known Magazine forms in the form of a coil are used.

- a plug-in tulip 16 is formed, which is connected to one through the insertion opening 15 insertable contact pin, not shown, with downstream electrical components can connect.
- the walls 20 of the plug-in chamber have on the one hand insertion limiting edges 21 for limiting the insertion of the piercing contact 3 in the direction of the actuation direction 13, with corresponding counter edges of the lancing contact 3 interact.
- the walls 20 also have Stops 17, which limit the displacement of the slide 4 in the Actuate actuation direction 13 when the piercing contact 3 with its cutting edges 9 is joined to the single conductor 5.
- the housing 2 also has latching hooks 14, a mechanical locking of the housing 2 and thus the entire connector 1 allowed with other modules in a generally known manner.
- a guide pin 18 is arranged within the piercing contact 3 in FIG. 1, which due to its shape and dimensions with corresponding internal Functional surfaces of the lancing contact 3 are connected in such a way that the position of the piercing contact 3 on the guide pin 18 perpendicular to the direction of actuation 13 is fixed, but a shift in the direction of actuation 13 between guide pin 18 and piercing contact 3 is made possible. For example, this will achieved by a sliding fit, for example in the form of a circular or rectangular guide pin 18 with a likewise circular or rectangular, not shown here functional area of the lancing contact 3 is realized.
- the guide pin 18 is advantageously in one piece formed with the slider 4, so that the lancing contact 3 is plugged on the guide pin 18 of the slide 4 an exact assignment of the lancing contact 3rd and slide 4 allowed.
- guide bolts 18 and lancing contact 3 forces for example joining forces in the direction of the actuation direction 13 transferable.
- the piercing contact 3 is so far on the guide pin 18 plugged in until it lies in front of stops 29 not shown comes. It is also conceivable, for example, by shaping or dimensioning of guide pin 18 and piercing contact 3 to ensure that the piercing contact 3 cannot fall off the guide pin 18. This is for example by a To achieve latching or the like. In the pre-locking position shown in FIG.
- the cutting edges 9 of the piercing contact 3 partially enter the insertion opening 25, but the clear cross section of the insertion opening 25 is sufficient, to insert the conductor 5 into the insertion opening 25 without hindrance.
- the single conductor 5 strikes after complete insertion into the insertion opening 25 in front of the stop edges 23 of the housing 2, whereby a clear assignment of the individual conductor 5 to the insertion opening 25 is ensured.
- the housing 2 in the area of the stop edges shown in Figure 1 23 be designed such that a passage of the individual conductor 5 through the whole connector 1 is enabled to loop through the single conductor 5 to ensure. This can be done, for example, by means of a corresponding recess of the housing 2 in this area.
- an actuating surface 11 is shown, in the for example, a screwdriver 12, shown here only schematically, can be inserted in this way is that it is guided laterally and therefore not from the assigned surface the slide 4 can slide.
- the locking projection 19 of the Slider 4 moved in the actuating direction 13, whereby the locking hub 6 due the resilience of the locking projection 19 from the pre-locking position in the Locking recess 7 reaches the final locking position of the locking recess 8. This is ensures that the slide 4 is in the final locking position, for example due to loads due to vibrations or vibrations move out of its reached end position and thus release the conductor 5 again can.
- FIG. 2 shows the conductor 5, which in FIG. 1 is in the direction of the insertion opening 25 was shown in two conceivable configurations after the joining movement.

- the design of the housing 2 selected here serves in the area of the conductor outlet to this end, by means of a deflection of the individual conductor 5 at points 22 that is subject to friction a strain relief of the connection of the individual conductor 5 in the area of the cutting edges 9 to ensure.
- This double deflection of the individual conductor 5 secures the position of the individual conductor 5 against tensile loads on the individual conductor 5 from the environment.
- This type of frictional strain relief at two points 22 is intended here Show only by way of example how such strain relief can be implemented.
- Other Design of the frictional contact between the individual conductor 5 and the housing 2 are conceivable. Another possibility for is not shown in FIG Strain relief that can be achieved by a clamp connection in the region of the recess 28 is.
- the conductor outlet direction 5 ′ shown in FIG. 2 is shown here in such a way that the conductor 5 'with play within the outlet opening between the housing 2 and slide 4 is arranged in the region of the recess 28. It is also conceivable, matching the diameter of the insulation of the individual conductor 5 ', this passage smaller than the outer diameter of the individual conductor 5 'so that when the slide 4 is actuated, the individual conductor 5 'is automatically bent over and under Clamping is held in the conductor outlet in the region of the recess 28. This elastic clamping also provides effective strain relief easy to manufacture.
- FIGs 3a to 3c is shown again schematically as the Assembly of a connector 1 according to Figures 1 and 2 is going on. in this connection are only the most important component of the connector 1 specified for this Assembly are important.
- a multi-pin connector 1 of the invention kind of a housing encompassing the number of poles present 2 in e.g. basically the same shape is built up in each connection pole, the connection assembly consisting of the slide 4, the piercing contact 3 and the respective pole-associated chamber of the housing 2, for each individual conductor 5 can be provided separately.
- This is a modular in a particularly simple manner Structure of such a connector 1 can be produced because each of the connection modules can be assembled separately and can also be replaced.
- a particularly advantageous possibility of mounting the connector according to the invention 1 is that according to Figures 4a to 4d, the individual conductor 5 with the preassembled assembly made of piercing contact 3 and slide 4 and only then in the housing 2 of the connector 1 is inserted.
- 4a the pre-assembly module formed in a manner corresponding to FIG. 3a Slider 4 and lancing contact 3 are made, into which a single conductor according to FIG. 4b 5 is inserted appropriately.
- the joining movement for example can be done with the help of a plier-like tool, the relative movement executed between slider 4 and lancing contact 3, which incised the Cutting edges 9 of the piercing contact 3 in the insulation and the metallic conductor of the individual conductor 5.
- Such a pre-assembly of the individual conductor 5 with the pre-assembly slide 4 and lancing contact 3 offers the great advantage that just at the place of use Cables can be pre-assembled and, for example, on a cable harness Connectors 1 to be arranged in advance on the preassembly slide 4 and Lancing contact 3 are arranged and only then together in the housing 2 of the Connector 1 can be inserted.
- the pre-assembly or Assembly of the individual conductors 5 is particularly advantageously simplified. This also makes it special easily realized that, for example, incorrectly assembled contacts or defective contacts can be replaced individually.
- FIGS. 5a and 5b show once again how one is pre-assembled according to FIG. 5a
- Connector 1 after joining in the actuation direction 13, for example be inserted into the actuating surface 11 by a screwdriver 12 can.
- Figure 5b an already assembled connector 1 can be disassembled in a particularly simple manner, by such a tool in the direction 27 of the locking projection 19 of the slide 4 is deformed that the latch 6 out of engagement with the recess 8 of the Final locking position comes and a simultaneous pull on the single conductor 5 against the Actuating direction 13, here referred to as 13 ', the assembled assembly of slide 4, individual conductor 5 'and piercing contact 3 can be pulled out of the housing 2 again makes.
- This provides a simple option, for example when repackaging or due to defects, connection modules to be replaced Disassemble connector 1 according to the invention and after reassembly on the individual conductor 5 again in the manner already illustrated in the housing 2 insert.
- connection modules which are inside or outside depending on the type of installation of the housing 2 consist of slide 4, piercing contact 3 and possibly individual conductor 5, not ordered, for example as bulk goods and with each joining movement by hand, such a connection module in the pliers is used.
- a hand tool for example fed on a rail or stored on a spool, such connection modules fed and brought into the effective zone of the assembly pliers.
