Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and a headbox for a paper machine.
- the invention relates to a headbox with internals for manufacturing or influencing the turbulence in the flow.
- Document (5) describes a headbox in which the downstream ends are not extend into the area of the outlet gap.
- Document (6) describes one Headbox in which the areas of the flow elements can be changed, specifically regarding their position in the headbox.
- US-A-4 133 713 describes a headbox in its headbox nozzle a microturbulence generator is arranged.
- the microturbulence generator is located between 2.5 cm and 25 cm upstream of the point of the smallest flow cross-sectional area of the headbox and he is with Means for advancing or resetting in the direction of flow of the Substances or with means for rotating essentially one right-angled axis.
- the invention has for its object to a method and a headbox create that is designed such that during operation in a variable manner
- the hydraulics of the stock suspension can be influenced, particularly the degree of turbulence.
- the inventors have recognized that the change in the size of the flow contact Surfaces have a very significant impact on the flow hydraulics, thus not only the shape of the inserts located in the flow chamber.
- Document (4) shows and describes a multi-layer headbox with a nozzle-like one Outlet channel, which is divided into three individual channels.
- the individual channels are through Tongues delimited from each other, which can be moved in the direction of flow.
- the Moving this tongue does not serve to enlarge the wetted Surfaces, but for setting the width of the outlet gap of the individual channel.
- the headbox shown in Fig. 1 comprises a flow chamber 1. This has an inlet 2.
- the flow chamber 1 is followed by an outlet nozzle 3.
- the flow chamber 1 contains a bundle of a plurality of tubes 1.1. This run in the direction of flow. They are used to generate a in a known manner Microturbulence in the stock suspension.
- the outlet nozzle 3 has outer boundary walls 3.1 and 3.2, which on their downstream end form an outlet gap 3.3.
- Figures 2 and 3 show in detail the structure of the outlet nozzle 3 Flow elements.
- Figure 2 again shows the two boundary walls 3.1 and 3.2 with the outlet gap 3.3.
- On the two figures 2 and 3 recognizes one pockets in which flow elements are stored.
- the flow elements are round rods in the present case. They can be retracted and extended in the direction of flow, which is illustrated in Fig. 3 by the double arrow.
- the outlet nozzle 3 is designed in a completely different way.
- the stock suspension is through a variety of channels 5.1, 5.2, 5.3 to Outlet gap 3.3.
- the channels are drilled through massive blocks 6.1, 6.2, 6.3.
- the boundary walls 3.1, 3.2 are located in the downstream end area the outlet nozzle 3 and are stationary.
- flow elements are again provided here, and the flow elements 3.71 and 3.81. These flow elements are plate-shaped. They extend across the entire working width. You are in turn Bags 3.7 and 3.8 stored. You can also - just like the round bars according to Figures 2 and 3 - are moved in the direction of flow, so that the size the area of these flow elements 3.71, 3.81 in contact with the flow can.
- a particularly interesting embodiment can result from the fact that the Flow elements - and rods or plates - seen in the direction of displacement - areas of different roughness. For example, a downstream one Part have a particularly low roughness while the roughness is upstream seen increases. This has the effect of extending the individual flow elements progressively increased.
- the turbulence-generating element 3.41 is over the Outstanding gaps 3.31 and 3.32.
- the flow element 3.41 with its tip not retracted behind columns 3.31 and 3.32 remain the widths of the exit columns 3.31 and 3.41 are constant. The same applies accordingly, if the flow elements only move inside the nozzle. In this way the degree of turbulence in the suspension can be adjusted without the outflow of the To change the suspension.
- FIG. 6 shows a variant according to the invention of FIG. 5. Instead of just one flow element there are two flow elements here (but there are also others conceivable).
- Within the nozzle 3 is the course of the fluidic reasons Flow elements 3.41 and 3.51 arranged converging in the flow direction. So that when adjusting the flow elements 3.41 and 3.51 not the width of the Exit gaps 3.31, 3.32 and 3.33 change, it is necessary that the flow elements 3.41 and 3.51 elastic and with each other in the course of the outlet openings are parallel.
- This parallel alignment is created by deliberately influencing the pressure of the partial flows in the nozzle 3 and the dimensioning of the bending stress in the Flow elements 3.41 and 3.51.
