Abstract

The invention relates to a drive for awnings with an awning fabric (14), extension arms (16) which exert sufficient force on the fabric (14) to unroll it, and a roller tube (34) operating together with a braking device in the unrolling direction. The drive (32) is in operative connection with the roller tube (34) via a freewheel device (53, 54, 55) and the braking device exerts a braking force on the roller tube (34) which is greater than the propulsive power of the freewheel device acting in the unrolling direction.

Description

The invention relates to an awning according to the preamble of Claim 1.

Such an awning is known for example from DE-C1-4 014 962. The Braking device is there by at least one brake spring in the form of a Coil spring formed between the driven gear and one with the gear housing is firmly connected piece and with a angled end is held in a groove that is in one with this Gear fixed hub, this gear is the winding tube wearing. This braking device prevents an independent and unwanted Unwinding the awning cover and vibrating the winding tube at the same time during certain working situations of the drop arms.

A disadvantage of this known awning is that when Continue operating the transmission in the unwinding direction in the case where the Unwrapping position of the awning fabric has already been reached, further Awning cover material is unwound so that the awning cover is no longer is taut and the wind inflates the awning cover like a balloon and can tear.

EP-A1-0 246 338 is an unwinding limiting device for the Opening of awnings known in which a drop bar attached to the awning cover is moved by means of drop arms, the awning cover being moved by one Winding tube is unwound or wound on this. This device has a freewheel mechanism with a toothed cylinder and a drive shaft, which is provided with resilient pawls. The ones from User decoupled rotation of the drive shaft in one direction of rotation the pawls from the teeth of the cylinder, taking the awning cloth gradually rolled up to the maximum possible opening position of the awning can be. The pawls remain when this opening position is reached decoupled from the teeth of the cylinder, and a further turning by the User does not cause the awning sheet to unwind, but still can be unwound by wind more awning cloth. In the other Direction of rotation, the pawls are coupled with the teeth of the cylinder, so that the awning cover can be rolled up. Another disadvantage is that the awning can only be opened gradually.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide a simple awning to create the kind with which the further unwinding of Awning fabric after reaching the maximum extended position of the Failure arms is prevented.

The object is achieved by the features of the claim 1 solved.

One can see that the opening and closing Unwinding of the awning fabric is carried out by means of a device that in essentially from a gearbox, a freewheel or overrunning clutch Entrainment effect as well as a braking device, which are so on each other are coordinated that when unwinding the awning cover with the drop arms minimal force of the user can be operated, up to their Attack. If the crank rod is actuated further, none will be on the winding tube torque exerted by the transmission more exercised. This follows from the The fact that the spring force of the extension arms on the awning cover no force exercises more while the braking force of the braking device is greater than the driving force of the freewheel that exists between the gear and the freewheel acts. When unwinding, a rotational force acts on the winding tube from the freewheel is preferably minimally greater than the difference between the force of the Fail arms and the brake device.

Further expedient and advantageous measures of the invention emerge from the dependent claims.

The freewheel device can be produced inexpensively if after a further development of the invention the adapter is a plastic injection molded part and if the pawl, which is also made of plastic, has a flexible cloth is provided, which is molded onto the bottom of the chamber near the axis.

The durability of the freewheel device is promoted in that after a a further embodiment of the invention, the freewheel of the freewheel device then begins when the spreading movement of the legs of the extension arms in the Unwrapped position of the awning cover limited by stops of these legs is, these legs still form an obtuse angle. Because these legs form an obtuse angle at the start of the winding process Winding force, the force acting on the pawls of the freewheel device a lot less than when these legs were stretched.

The freewheel can on the one hand the connection between the winding tube and the Manufacture gearbox. On the other hand, it can also be part of the crank rod or be switched between the transmission and the crank rod.

The drop arm 16 consists of two legs 18 articulated by means of a joint 22, 20, of which the leg 18 on a part 36 connected to the support shaft by means of a joint 38 and the legs 20 on the awning cover 14 exciting downpipe 10 is rotatably attached by means of a joint 22 '. The Downpipe 10 can also wear a valance 12. The joints 22, 22 ', 38 ensure the folding of the extension arm 16 in one plane. The Legs 18, 20 are designed as tubes. Inside the tubular Leg 20 is arranged in a manner not shown, a tension spring on the one hand on the joint 22 'and on the other hand via a through the tubular Leg 18 extending rope, not shown, is attached to the joint 38. This tension spring is always so tensioned that it folds out in the sense the leg 18, 20 acts. When turning the actuating eye 28 by means of Crank rod 26 moves the downpipe 10 in the direction of the double arrow 13. Das Part 36 can be designed as an inclination adjustment device when actuated the downpipe 10 is movable in the direction of the double arrow 15.

The gear 32 is shown in more detail in FIG. 2. It consists of a housing 40 with two gears 43, 44, which form a bevel gear pair. The axes of rotation of the Gears are arranged at right angles to each other, and the teeth 42, 49 of the Gears mesh with each other. The gear 44 is on one cylindrical shell-shaped portion 45 of the housing 40 rotatably mounted.

A shaft 39 of the gear 43 is rotatable with its end 66 in the housing 40 stored. Inside section 45 and in a cylindrical recess of the housing 40 in the extension of the section 45 is a cylinder tube 46 arranged centrally and non-rotatably connected to the housing 40. This Cylinder tube 46 serves as a bearing for a hub-shaped part 37 of gear 44. On this part 37, in turn, an adapter 48 is rotatably mounted, which is the shape has a cylindrical drum open on one side, on which the winding tube 34 is fixed non-rotatably. Adapter 48 and part 37 of the gear 44 are on the cylinder tube 46 by means of a securing element 51 against a horizontal one Movement secured.

The type of attachment of the winding tube 34 to the adapter 48 is shown in FIG. 3 which shows a top view of the open side of the drum. Not one Rib shown inside the angle tube 34 engages in a longitudinal groove 52 on Outer periphery of the adapter 48, so that this adapter together with the Winding tube 34 is rotatable on part 37. The adapter 48 is a Injection molded plastic part and has a honeycomb shape to save material and thus stable construction.

The coupling of the gear 44 with the adapter 48 and thus the winding tube 34 is now carried out with a freewheel device, which in FIG Adapters 48, a resilient pawl 54 guided in this chamber and by one recess 55 formed in gear 44 is indicated, into which pawl 54 can engage non-positively.

This freewheel device is shown in more detail in FIGS. 3 to 8, the Part 48 of the freewheel device in FIGS. 3 to 6 and the adapter concerned part of the freewheel device relating to the gear 44 in FIGS. 7 and 8 is shown.

As can be seen from FIGS. 3 to 6, there are three chambers 53 in the adapter 48, 56, 57 formed, each offset by an angle of 120 °, one have a rectangular cross-section, run radially and to the front (Fig. 5) and the back (Fig. 3) of the adapter 48 are open. In these chambers is a plastic pawl 54, 58, 59 resiliently guided, so that it is biased towards the face of the adapter 48. This Spring preload is achieved in that each pawl has an elastic tab 62, which is injection-molded on the axis-side chamber end by means of a web 63 is (designations only for the pawl 54). The pawl 54 has a nose 60, which normally protrudes from the end face of the adapter 48, and one in inclined surface 61 extending in the peripheral direction of the adapter 48 (FIG. 4). The other two pawls 58, 59 are designed accordingly. This structure of the Pawl 54 also emerges from the sectional view in FIG. 6.

As FIGS. 7 and 8 show, that is the end face of the adapter 48 opposite side of gear 34 with six, near the Gear circumference evenly distributed on an arc provided, the recess 55 is exemplary for a closer look picked out. The recess 55 is by an upper, near the Gear edge lying arcuate edge 64, a lower, arcuate Edge 65 and two lateral, radially running edges 66, 67 limited. The Bottom surface of the recess 55 runs parallel to the radial outside of the Gear 44. However, it can also extend from edge 66 to edge 67 increasing. The recess 55 is dimensioned so that the pawl 54 in can be picked up, the nose 60 striking the edge 66 can.

The operation of the freewheel device will be explained later. First of all described a brake device provided for the winding tube 34, the at the other end of the winding tube, the opposite of that shown in Fig. 2 Winding tube end is located, and which is shown in Fig. 9.

The Counter bearing of the winding tube 34 consists of a stiffened pot 70 with a central opening 71 is rotatably mounted on a pin 72. At the The circumference of the pot 70, axially parallel ribs 73 are evenly distributed, which in matching, axially parallel grooves 74 on the inner circumference of the winding tube 34 engage so that the pot 70 is non-rotatably connected to the winding tube 34. The pin 72 is fixed non-rotatably in a hole in the bearing plate 30 '. For this purpose, the bearing plate 30 'has a not shown, above the pin 72 vertically extending slot, which are narrowed by means of a screw 75 can, so that the pin 72 can be clamped. On the inner end of the pin 72 is a brake spring 76 in the form of an approximately two-start Coil spring arranged, which nestles tightly against the pin 72 and the with a right-angled end 77 in a radial inner groove of the Pot 70 is set. The pot 70 and the brake spring 76 are on the pin by means of a disk 78 and a securing element 79 against a horizontal one Movement secured. The winding direction of the brake spring 76 is directed so that when unrolling the awning cover 14, (Fig. 1) the cross section of the brake spring 76 is reduced, so that a certain braking effect on the winding tube 34 is exercised, and when winding the awning fabric the cross section of Brake spring 76 is enlarged, so that the winding tube 34 essentially runs freely.

The operation of the freewheel device in connection with the braking device is the following: when unrolling the awning fabric 14 by means of the crank rod 26 the spring arranged in the leg 20 spreads the legs 18, 20 apart. The nose 60 (FIG. 4) of the pawl 54 engages with the edge 66 (FIG. 7). The same applies to the other two pawls 58, 59; the following consideration refers only to the pawl 54 by way of example. No pressure is required on the crank to be exercised, since the tensile force of the spring arranged in the leg 20 is sufficient, the awning fabric 14 against the braking force of the brake spring 76 (Fig. 9) and to unwind the transmission friction forces. Is the unwinding set position of the Awning cover 14 reached, limited a stop, not shown, on the joint 22nd (Fig. 1) the further spreading movement of the legs 18, 20. The legs 18, 20 do not form a straight line in this unwinding set position of the awning fabric 14, but an obtuse angle, which enables the Initiate unwinding movement of the awning fabric 14. When you reach the Unwinding set position of the awning fabric 14 falls on the scope of the Winding tube 34 exerted tractive force, so that only the Braking force of the brake spring 76 acts, which ensures that the awning cover 14th remains taut. The awning fabric stays taut when the Crank rod 26 should be rotated further in the sense of unwinding. The handle In this case, 54 comes out of engagement with the edge 66 with its nose 60 and leans with its inclined surface 61 (FIG. 4) to the edge 67 (FIG. 7), which is a slight Driving force on the pawl 54 and thus exerts on the adapter and angle tube. After overcoming this driving force, the pawl 54 is over its inclined surface 61 pressed inward from the edge 67 into the chamber 53. This process can repeat on other recesses of the gear 44. So that run two gears 43, 44 in freewheel, while the winding tube 34 through the Brake spring 76 is held. Here, the braking force of the brake spring 76 chosen greater than the driving force acting in the unwinding direction Freewheel device.

During the winding process, the crank rod 26 is rotated in the opposite direction. there the pawl 54 with its nose 60 again engages with the edge 66 or a corresponding other edge, so that the winding tube 34 is entrained becomes. The brake spring 76 is opened so that essentially only the force the tension spring arranged in the leg 20 must be overcome.

It is also different from the embodiment shown in the figures possible to use the brake device with the brake spring 76 on the inner end of the To provide cylinder tube 46 (Fig. 2), the unwound end of the brake spring 76 is held by the adapter 48.
