Definitions

  • the invention relates to a rock drill according to the preamble of claim 1 and a method for its manufacture.
  • cutting inserts are used Made of hard metal with at least one cutting edge Headboard and with the geometry of a receiving groove in the drilling tool adapted foot part in one or more cut or milled grooves of a drill head or a core bit and in it by soldering attached.
  • the grooves are generally considered ordinary continuous rectangular grooves with a constant cross-section.
  • the hard metal plate is usually caused by caulking in the area of the openings of the receiving grooves Fixed surface of the drill head or the drill bit. This Caulking is usually done before the onset of Tungsten carbide plate executed in the receiving groove. The caulking prevent a radial displacement of the used hard metal plate and on the other hand falling out the plate during subsequent fastening by soldering, Welding or gluing. In addition, the Caulking that between the wall of the receiving groove and the a gap is kept free when using the hard metal plate, into which the molten solder due to capillary forces can penetrate.
  • the receiving groove is an increased pressure on the Carbide plate exercised.
  • the hard metal plate is either already damaged when inserting into the slot or there is an increased risk of breakage when operating the rock drill due to a chiseling effect of the caulking on the hard metal plate, which then breaks the hard metal plate effected at the pressure point.
  • a hard metal plate for Drilling tools with at least one cutting edge Headboard and one of the geometry of a receiving groove in the Drilling tool adapted foot part known, in which the distance between the side surfaces of the foot part in at least one Section of the foot part is larger than in the edge area of the Side surfaces of the foot section.
  • the invention has for its object one with To provide carbide-tipped rock drill, which is such that there is between hard metal plate and receiving groove in the drilling tool a stable and permanent Connection results that is easily soldered or otherwise can be securely centered on the hard metal plate enables and the risk of breakage when operating the Rock drill diminished.
  • the side walls of the receiving groove run apart from the the section with the greater distance between the side surfaces wall areas corresponding to the hard metal plate, preferably essentially parallel to each other so that the previous configuration of a rectangular groove are retained can.
  • the hard metal plate or the receiving groove can also one to the bottom of the hard metal plate or Have tapered cross-section groove bottom without the purpose of the invention is compromised. It is essential that the foot part of the hard metal plate inserted into the receiving groove a section with a larger distance between the two side faces, i.e. a section with a larger clear width, which corresponds to one molded wall area engages the receiving groove, so that ensures a secure centering of the hard metal plate and at the same time a shift in the radial direction is prevented.
  • the part-circular bulges are preferably on formed on both side surfaces of the hard metal plate and lie towards each other.
  • the bulges on the side surfaces The hard metal plate can also be used against each other be staggered. Those are particularly preferred Bulges approximately in the middle of at least one of the side surfaces arranged the hard metal plate.
