Definitions

  • the invention relates to a recording material for the Ink jet printing process (ink jet process).
  • the ink jet process is one of the electronic ones Printing process. Here it is possible to add pictures, texts and Compose graphics on the computer and as Print out the screen hardcopy directly.
  • droplets become one Recording liquid on the surface of the Carrier material using different techniques applied.
  • the continuous drop generation is under High pressure a permanent stream of droplets from the nozzle driven.
  • the ones not needed for the image construction Different principles make drops again Ink reservoir supplied.
  • the DropOn-Demand method only applies to the an ink droplet on demand generated.
  • digital electronic control such as with the Hertz process, it is possible to take pictures with very high resolution directly from electronic data produce.
  • the receiving material consists of a carrier material, an ink-receiving layer and, if appropriate, others Auxiliary layers. Both carrier material as well Ink receiving layer layer need to solve this Problems should be coordinated.
  • Ink-jet printer for the production of photo-like prints use inks with a high proportion of water as Solvent.
  • the ink application is also this Printer larger than conventional ink-jet printers.
  • Reception materials were initially used because foils these are characterized by high dimensional stability when wetted mark with water.
  • the head contact to one Damage to the receiving material.
  • GB 2 210 812 A1 describes a receiving material consisting of a paper base and an ink absorption layer.
  • the paper contains calcium carbonate as Pigment; high demands are placed on paper sizing posed.
  • a Fourdrinier paper machine proposed.
  • the Ink absorption layer consists of calcium carbonate and a cationic vinyl acetate copolymer binder and a polyvinyl alcohol with silanol groups.
  • the Receiving material is characterized by good Waterproofness and sharpness.
  • JP 06-262845 A describes a receiving material, consisting of a paper support and a Ink receiving layer.
  • the paper backing contains hardwood pulp and a sizing of starch and alkyl ketene dimer.
  • the occurrence of a is also disadvantageous here Waviness of the carrier material by the sole Use of short fiber pulp.
  • EP 0 423 829 A relates to a recording sheet for the ink jet process for taking up aqueous inks and also deals with the problem of the cockle with these Recording materials.
  • the backing paper As for, this publication suggests a certain Degree of sizing as well as a certain stretch.
  • the US 5th 320 897 discloses a recording sheet for the ink jet process for receiving aqueous inks and discloses one Cellulose blend of 5 parts of softwood sulfate pulp and 95 parts of eucalyptus pulp to make the Paper carrier.
  • This task is done by a recording material solved that from a paper support and a pigment and binder-containing layer, the paper being made of a mixture of softwood sulfate and Eucalyptus pulp is a wet stretch in Fennel cross direction ⁇ 2.0, a tear length ratio longitudinal / transverse (DIN 53112) ⁇ 2, a bending stiffness ratio lengthways / crossways ⁇ 2 (DIN 53121) and a density ⁇ 0.8.

  • the proportion of softwood sulfate pulp is 10% to 40% of the total pulp.
  • This composition has changed as beneficial for achieving a high Dimensional stability proven.
  • the orientation of the fibers in longitudinal and Transverse direction must be chosen so that the Tear length and bending stiffness a relationship longitudinal / transverse ⁇ 2.0 results.
  • As a sizing and wet strength agent can do all the usual connections in the paper industry be used.
  • the paper can be both acidic and be neutral glued.
  • the density of the paper must be ⁇ 0.8, in a preferred embodiment ⁇ 0.7.
