Claims (8)

  1. Pfanne (1) zum Halten von Metall (4) auf Temperatur mit einem Hauptteil (5), das einen Hohlraum (13) umfaßt, der durch eine Feuerfestauskleidung (12) begrenzt ist und dazu vorgesehen ist, mit geschmolzenem Metall beladen zu werden, wobei dieser Hohlraum zumindest mit einer Füllöffnung (21), einer Metallauslaßöffnung (3), die mit dem Hohlraum in Verbindung steht, sowie einer Vorrichtung (2) zum Heizen des Metalls versehen ist, wobei der Hohlraum (13) einen Schmelzbodenbereich und einen Reservebereich (15) umfaßt, wobei das Volumen des Schmelzbodenbereichs geringer als das Volumen des Reservebereichs ist, und wobei die Form des Hohlraums (13) ohne tote Winkel ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Hohlraum (13) einen Füllzylinder (16) umfaßt, der an der Füllöffnung (21) endet, wobei der Reservebereich (15) des flüssigen Metalls mit dem Zylinder (16), mit einem Hauptzylinder (14) und mit der Auslaßöffnung (3) in Verbindung steht, wobei die Zylinder (14, 16) mit den Achsen (YY, Y'Y') parallel sind und wobei der Füllzylinder (16) seine Achse (Y'Y') in Bezug auf die Achse (YY) des Hauptzylinders (14) nach oben verschoben hat.
  2. Pfanne nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Füllzylinder (16) einen größeren Durchmesser besitzt als den Durchmesser des Hauptzylinders (14), um auf diese Weise den Reservebereich (15) für flüssiges Metall zu bilden, wobei der Reservebereich (15) über eine Verbindungszone (18) von im wesentlichen kegelstumpfartiger Gestalt, die mit Rundungen (19, 20) versehen ist, mit dem Hauptzylinder (14) verbunden ist.
  3. Pfanne nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Achsen (YY, Y'Y') der Zylinder (14,16), die in einer vertikalen Ebene enthalten sind, nach oben in Richtung der Füllöffnung (21) geneigt sind.
  4. Pfanne nach einem der vorgehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine Verschlußvorrichtung (23) umfaßt, um thermische Verluste des Metalls zu begrenzen und / oder die Oberfläche des Metalls zu inaktivieren.
  5. Pfanne nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Heizvorrichtung (2) eine Induktionsspule (8) umfaßt, die eine zylindrische Heizzone (6) mit derselben Achse (YY) und vorzugsweise mit demselben Durchmesser wie der Hauptzylinder (14) umgibt, und insbesondere auf dem Hauptteil (5) in entfernbarer Weise angebracht ist.
  6. Pfanne zum Gießen nach dem vorhergehenden Anspruch, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Induktionsspule (8) von einem Strom mit mittlerer oder niedrigen Frequenz, insbesondere von 50 bis 1500 Hertz, durchflossen wird, um das Metall (4) auf Temperatur und in einer ruhigen und homogenen Durchmischung zu halten.
  7. Pfanne zum Gießen nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß ein Brenner, der an der Füllöffnung (21) angeordnet ist, ein Vorheizen der Pfanne mit einer Entfernung der Verbrennungsprodukte durch die Auslaßöffnung (3) erlaubt.
  8. Pfanne zum Gießen nach Anspruch 7, bei welcher der Brenner zum Vorheizen mit Sauerstoff und Erdgas arbeitet.
