Definitions

  • the invention relates to a sealing arrangement for the Annular gap between the container wall one for a liquid certain round containers and a floating blanket or one Floating roof with those listed in the preamble of claim 1 Characteristics.
  • the sealing membrane of the known sealing arrangement has an upper section on the cushion ring of the secondary or upper sealing ring, and a lower membrane section, the only at the top of the metallic sliding plates of the primary sealing ring rests on the inside and extends from there to the top of the floating roof without to immerse in the liquid.
  • This seal arrangement keeps the sealing membrane in connection with the two sealing rings gases escaping from the liquid in the Annular gap between the sliding plates and the floating roof back, however, the sealing effect does not meet today's increased demands.
  • DE-A-11 36 276 discloses a sealing arrangement without secondary Sealing ring with sliding shoes on the container wall known, wherein a membrane (sealing veil) is provided which covers the inside of the sliding plates with a double layer folding section down from the sliding plates in the Immersed liquid and then the annular gap between the container wall and bridging the floating roof to the floating roof connected. Because of the filling and emptying of the container occurring strong turbulence and the local changing annular gap widths is the intended hanging down of the Sealing veil in a fold as a continuation of the sliding shoes not guaranteed downwards. Rather are already after a relatively short time damage to the sealing veil expected.
  • the invention has for its object a generic Sealing arrangement with increased sealing effect, lower overall height, high flexibility of adaptation, low wear and to provide low costs.
  • FIG. 1 In the various figures there is a round container 1 with vertical axis only part of its container wall 2 shown. He is with liquid 3 up to a liquid level 4 filled. A floating roof 5 with a lower one Floor 6, an upper floor 7 and a wall 8 floats on the liquid 3, in which it is partially immersed. Between the container wall 2 and the wall 8 of the Floating roofs 5 there is an annular gap 9, which with the help a sealing arrangement 10 is sealed.
  • the sealing arrangement 10 has according to that in FIGS. 1 and 2 shown embodiment a lower or primary Sealing ring 11 and an upper or secondary Sealing ring 12, each designed annular and are arranged closely adjacent to one another and sealingly cooperate with the container wall 2 2. Doing so between the two sealing rings 11 and 12 on the one hand and the container wall 2, on the other hand, a limited, also formed annular space 13, the small one Has cross-sectional dimensions.
  • the primary sealing ring 11 includes a single one Slide plates 14 existing sealing ring.
  • the sliding plates 14 are uniform in the usual form and with less mutual overlap in the circumferential direction side by side arranged. They have a height that is about the height of the floating roof 5 corresponds. They are thin-walled, exist made of sheet metal and are made with the help of support and pressure elements held, pressed radially outwards and lying flat on the container wall 2.
  • the top edge 15 and the lower edge 16 of each slide plate 14 are - as shown - Angled inwards or towards the annular gap 9.
  • Each slide plate 14 is supported by a support element 17, like a handlebar with its lower end is articulated on a bearing block 18 which on the wall 8 of the Floating roofs 5 is attached close to the bottom floor 6.
  • the upper end of each support member 17 is at one Bearing bracket 19 articulated on the relevant slide plate 14 is attached.
  • the support elements 17 extend from bottom up and are out in through the container axis vertical inclines. The swiveling held support elements 17 ensure a radial adjustment the sealing arrangement 10 during horizontal movements of the floating roof 5. Accordingly, take a steeper one Position or they are more inclined.
  • the sliding plates 14 are below the liquid level 4 pressed against the container wall 2.
  • a pressure element 20 for example in the form of a V-shaped Leaf spring assigned to each slide plate 14 and with a middle part below the liquid level 4 screwed to the wall 8 of the floating roof 5.
  • the pressure element engages both horizontally directed legs 20 on a sheet 21, which is in the circumferential direction extends across the width of the slide plate 14 and with its upper edge at about the level of the liquid 4 completes and approximately to the angled lower edge 16 of the slide plate 14 protrudes into the liquid 3.
  • This Sheet 21 is also with the help of the inside of the Slide plate 14 protruding bolts with this firmly connected.
  • the primary sealing ring 11 also includes Membrane part 22, which in the broader sense is part of a sealing membrane 23, which bridges the annular gap 9.
  • the membrane part 22 is cylindrical or apron-shaped and is on the inside or on the floating roof side of the sliding plates 14 on. It is between the sliding plates 14 and the sheets 21 clamped and protected insofar as, at the same time in Membrane part 22 provided, not shown in the figures Through openings for the sliding plates 14 protruding bolts are sealed. With his lower, free membrane edge 24 is the membrane part 22 in the liquid 3 arranged.
  • the designed as a sealing apron Membrane part 22 is thus not only on the floating roof side arranged and covered on the slide plates 14 a substantial part of the height of the sliding plates 14, but it also dips in with its lower membrane edge 24 the liquid 3 freely, preferably in the area its lower free end is fixed.
  • a soft foam cushion in the form of a soft elastic cushion ring 25 the floating roof side of a wreath of Profile parts 26 is supported.
  • the profile parts 26 fit like the sliding plates 14 of the curvature of the container wall 2, but have a very low height and have also only a fraction of the length in the circumferential direction the slide plates 14, so that each slide plate 14 several Profile parts 26 are assigned (Fig. 1).
  • the profile parts 26 are each with the angled, upper edges 15 the sliding plates 14 firmly connected by means of bolts and how the edges 15 are inclined towards the inside of the container.
  • the cylindrical or apron-shaped membrane part 22 is between the top edge 15 of each slide plate 14 and the profile parts 26 firmly and tightly clamped.
  • the membrane part 31 bridging the annular gap 9 is included the upper end of the profile parts 26 firmly and tightly connected.
  • a central membrane part 27 extends in accordance with the embodiment shown in Figs. 1 and 2 from a clamping point on the upper edge 15 of the sliding plates 14 and thus from the space 13 to after externally angled flanges 26a at the upper end of the profile parts 26 and envelops the soft elastic cushion ring 25 on its outside facing the container wall 2.
  • Bolts are also provided on the flanges 26a, with the help of the membrane part 27 using is clamped and sealed by terminal strips 28.
  • Either the membrane parts 23 and 27 as well as the membrane part 31 are thus sealing at the upper end of the profile parts 26 connected with each other.
  • each profile part 26 is a pressure element 30 for example in the form of a leaf spring associated with the is attached at one end to the wall 8 and with her other end rests on the profile part 26.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 are the membrane part used as a sealing apron 22, the middle membrane part 27 and the annular gap 9 bridging membrane part 31 in one piece in the form of a single sealing membrane 23. It extends initially inside on the sliding plates 14, then outside on the cushion ring 25 and finally bridges the annular gap 9.
  • the sealing membrane ends due to its one-piece construction 23 not at the upper end of the profile parts 26 or whose flanges 26a, but extends in the area of Annular gap 9 radially inwards and at the same time downwards inclined to the top of wall 8 of the floating roof 5 and is here with its edge 32 between an annular flange 33 clamped at the upper end of the wall 8 and terminal strips 34, what screws and nuts can be provided.
  • the membrane part 31 is spaced above the liquid level 4th
  • the Membrane part 22 in one-piece design in the area of the secondary Sealing ring 12 has only one membrane part 27 and ends at the upper end of the profile parts 26.
  • a ring gap 9 bridging membrane part 31 is missing.
  • a sealing membrane 44 is provided, which lies deeper in the annular gap 9, however, still above the liquid level 4 is arranged, with its outer Scope welded or glued to the membrane part 22 while its inner circumference seals against the Wall 8 of the floating roof 5 is attached.
  • annular gap 9 at its upper end against rain protected are rigid, weatherproof plates forming a ring 45 provided that slopes downward like a roof extend from the container wall 2 to the floating roof 5.
  • a large number of mutually overlapping circumferentially Weather protection plates 45 are - as shown - with the profile parts 26 of the secondary sealing ring 12 screwed tight and loose via a sliding part 46 on the supported upper floor 7 of the floating roof 5, so that this can perform horizontal movements unhindered.
  • the sealing arrangement 50 according to FIG. 4 in turn has unchanged primary and secondary sealing rings 11 and 12 on. It is in accordance with the scissors construction 41 Fig. 3 equipped and has a one-piece, from the Membrane parts 22, 27 and 31 existing sealing membrane 23 as in Fig. 1 and a deep, annular sealing membrane 44 as in Fig. 3.
  • the sealing membrane 44 is with the apron-like membrane part 22 of the sealing membrane 23 either welded or glued and on the wall 8 of the floating roof 5 attached vapor-tight.
  • the secondary sealing ring 12 is also a Assigned apron 29 which rotates in the circumferential direction, abuts the container wall 2 and with one Edge between the flanges 26a and the terminal strips 28 is clamped while its other or lower margin between the angled upper edge 15 of the slide plates 14 and clamped the lower end of the profile parts 26 and is set.
  • the wear apron 29 ensures a long life for the sealing membrane 23 and in particular for the middle one, facing the container wall 2, annular membrane part 27.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 are without scissors construction and instead with carrying elements 17 like that 1 and 2 illustrated embodiment. Also an annular gap 9 with a membrane part 31 bridging sealing membrane 23 is as in FIGS. 1 and 2 provided. The main difference is in the different design of the primary sealing ring 61 and the secondary sealing ring 62.
  • the primary sealing ring 61 has otherwise the same Training only at a lower height and the axially Shorter sliding plates 63 are only below the liquid level 4 with the help of, for example, leaf springs designed pressure elements 20 on the container wall 2 pressed.
  • the secondary sealing ring 62 has in Comparison to the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2 a much greater height in the direction of the axis of the round container 1, with instead of the cushion ring 25 a cylindrical Upholstery part 64 made of soft elastic foam is provided.
  • the secondary sealing ring is on the floating roof side 62 supported by high profile parts 65. They extend essentially parallel to the container wall 2 and support the cushion part 64 on its inner circumference from.
  • the sealing membrane 23 envelops it with its middle membrane part 27 'the cushion part 64 on the container wall side and extends in one piece to the free, lower Membrane edge 24, the serving as a sealing apron Membrane part 22.
  • the carrying elements engage in the embodiment according to FIG. 5 17 on the profile parts 65 of the secondary sealing ring 62 on.
  • V-shaped pressure elements 66 for example, in shape of leaf springs, which are basically the pressure elements 20 / leaf springs can correspond.
  • the membrane part 31 and serving as a sealing apron Membrane part 22 can consist of two pieces or from a one-piece sealing membrane 23 be formed.
  • the two membrane parts 22 and 31 are welded, glued at their connection point or are vulcanized together. These different types of connections come for all described embodiments in Question if the membrane parts are not made from one piece are.
  • a major advantage with the one that covers the sliding plates Sealing membranes can be achieved consists in that the sliding plates in the circumferential direction of the container wall can be much shorter than before. To the number of leaks between adjacent sliding plates like this To date, sliding plates have been kept as low as possible preferably as long as possible in the circumferential direction. However, there is a serious disadvantage of long sliding plates in that they are only very inflexible to the movements of the Floating roofs or the indoor swimming pool react and that with the sliding plates connected sealing membranes, which for Example according to the known constructions for bridging of the annular gap when moving long sliding plates form correspondingly large folds and thus large leaks Jobs.
