- Electric lamp pinched at two ends with an elongated lamp bulb (1; 30) which is sealed in a vacuum-tight fashion, defines a longitudinal axis and is fitted at opposite ends with pinch seals (6; 32), each pinch seal surrounding a pinch foil (7; 33) which interconnects the inner (5) and outer supply leads (15; 21; 25; 34), and having in each case a lamp cap at the end of the pinch seal (6; 32), the cap having a contact element (13; 17; 18; 19; 20) which is connected in an electrically conducting fashion to the outer supply lead (15; 21; 25; 34), characterized in that the cap comprises a sleeve (11) which is formed from the material of the lamp bulb and which is integrally formed on the outer end of the pinch seal (6; 32), the contact element (13) extending essentially transverse to the lamp axis and being fastened in the interior of the sleeve (11).
