Description

The invention is based on a lamp pinched on both sides the preamble of claim 1.

This includes both incandescent and discharge lamps. These are, in particular, halogen incandescent lamps in the form of a festoon, but also discharge lamps, in particular metal halide lamps, for example UV lamps for cosmetic and medical applications. Another area of application is high pressure sodium lamps.

Such lamps are usually provided with bases which consist of a ceramic sleeve and a metallic connection contact held therein consist. The connection contact is usually shaped like a disk, in particular button-like or plate-like. The sleeve is usually slotted the slot being pushed onto the pinch. It is on with putty attached to the bruise. The use of putty has some disadvantages afflicted. In particular, the connection achieved in this way is at high temperature loads not reliable enough. Furthermore, the acidic Putty milieu and residues of solvents corrode the power supply. For this reason, the ceramic sleeve has already been tried to be fixed without cement (see for example EP-A 547 683). The production However, such lamps are very complicated and therefore time-consuming and expensive.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a two-sided crimp Providing lamp according to the preamble of claim 1, the time and can be produced inexpensively and which is particularly good suitable for automation.

This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1 solved. Particularly advantageous configurations can be found in the dependent ones Claims.

The advantage of the present invention is that the ceramic Sleeve material can now be completely saved and therefore also on putty can be completely dispensed with. The time-consuming baking of the rock cement completely eliminated. Forming the glass base sleeve may be preferred be carried out at the same time as the squeezing step.

According to the invention, the electric lamp is pinched on both sides a vacuum-sealed, elongated lamp bulb, the defines a longitudinal axis. He is on his two opposite one another Ends equipped with press seals, each press seal a crimp film encloses the inner and outer power supply lines connects with each other. At the outer ends of the pinch seals are each lamp base attached. These consist of a sleeve that is made of the material of the lamp bulb is formed and to the outer end the press seal is molded. This sleeve has an inner and outer diameter, the wall thickness of the sleeve type-specific in is on the order of about one millimeter. Inside the sleeve is attached a contact element that is electrically connected to the external power supply is conductively connected. The contact element extends essentially across the lamp axis.

The basic shape of the contact element is disc-like. Particularly suitable derived forms such as mushroom, pencil or knife-like Contact elements. The element is fastened in the sleeve by that at least part of the edge of the contact element in the sleeve embedded, i.e. melted or squeezed, is.

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the distance changes of the edge of the disk-like body from its center, ie its Radius, over the perimeter. In particular, it changes legally or periodically. This property is especially important when it is practical there is no metallic material for the contact element that corresponds to the thermal Expansion coefficient of the piston material (generally quartz glass) would be adjusted. However, a mismatch would soon lead to jumps in operation in the bulb material (quartz glass), which extend the life of the lamp would shorten. A suitable material for the contact material is stainless steel (V2A, especially also nickel-plated) or nickel or copper (possibly silver-plated or gold-plated).

In a particularly preferred embodiment, the minimum radius is of the element is smaller than the inner radius of the sleeve. In particular, that has Contact element a shamrock-like, elliptical, triangular-like or one Shape similar to n-corner. For the practical execution, it has proven to be proven to be advantageous if the corners of the contact element are rounded. In this way, stresses can be minimized, especially with simultaneous use of both techniques. Ultimately it will Contact element anchored very reliably in the glass sleeve.

The outer power supply line connecting the crimp film to the contact element connects, can in principle be realized in two different ways.

A first possibility is that the external power supply is a wire. Advantageous the contact element has an eyelet-like extension (Neck part) in which the wire can be inserted. A second variant is bend the wire-shaped power supply and the long side of the To weld elbow on the contact element. After all, it can Contact element can also be butt welded directly to the wire.

A second possibility is that the outer power supply is a foil, in particular an extension of the crimp film. The usual squeeze film is stable enough to take on the task of external power supply. Here too, an extension part of the squeeze film is preferably angled, again the long side of the elbow on the contact element is welded.

In the case of bending part of the external power supply, it is advantageous that the contact element bulges toward the power supply is. The angle piece can be welded well to this concave curvature become.

It has for a reliable mounting of the contact element in the glass sleeve proved to be favorable if at least the edge of the contact element has a thickness between 0.3 and 0.8 mm. In a particularly preferred This design rule applies to the entire contact element.

The production of such bases from glass sleeves can be advantageously in the Integrate the usual manufacturing process for such lamps as he, for example (with the help of a four-jaw squeezing machine) in EP-A 451 647 is described. Included in the manufacture of the base according to the invention the jaws now each have an integrated molding device, which is not only the Contusion, but also forms the glass sleeve. First, it is called Intermediate step the end of the lamp bulb, especially the area the later glass sleeve, brought to the deformation temperature. By the surface tension results in a defined self-deformation of the piston end, so that the pipe diameter constricts there. Through the shaped jaws adapted to the intended base shape the piston is now closed by the pinch jaws. At the same time, the base geometry is shaped, with the contact element held in place using vacuum or pliers becomes. A defined inner diameter of the glass sleeve is indicated by selected processing parameters reached.

Er ist im Kolben 1 durch Noppen 10 gehaltert.FIG. 1 shows two views rotated by 90 °, one of which is pinched on two sides Halogen light bulb. It consists of a cylindrical piston 1 in which a Luminous body 2 is arranged axially. It is held in the piston 1 by knobs 10.

The luminous element 2 consists of luminous sections 3 with a small slope, that by non-luminous sections 4 with a large slope from each other are separated. The ends 5 of the filament also consist of non-luminous sections of large incline. The ends 5 are in yours Function as an internal power supply embedded directly in the pinch 6 and connected there with a squeeze film 7. The one facing the filament End 8 of the film 7 is folded inside the pinch 6, whereby the filament end 5 is inserted into the bend 9 and thus purely mechanically makes electrical contact with the film 7. The foil is 2.5 µm thick.

A tubular glass sleeve 11 is formed on the outside of the pinch 6 as a base with an outer diameter of 7 mm and an inner diameter of 5 mm. The sleeve 11 is about 7 mm long. It is therefore narrower than the broad side of the pinch 6, but wider than the narrow side of the pinch 6. Accordingly, there is between pinch 6 and sleeve 11 a transition zone 12.

In the sleeve 11 is transverse to the lamp axis at a depth of 3 mm from the sleeve end a disc-like contact element 13 is embedded, made of sheet steel (V2A) with a thickness of 0.4 mm (see Figure 2). It is designed cloverleaf, the maximum radius of the disc 13 (Rmax) 2.7 mm and the minimum radius (Rmin) is 2.0 mm. The latter will be on Bottom of four troughs 16 each reached. The troughs 16 are concave Circular arcs punched out of the disc. The troughs 16 serve in particular as a grip aid for a holder using pliers.

A hollow neck part 14 is attached to the rear of the element 13. Between Foil 7 and element 13 is a molybdenum wire with a diameter of 0.6 mm arranged as an external power supply 15, the neck part 14 is welded.

In Fig. 3 are still other possible basic shapes for the contact element shown. Specifically, this is an elliptical shape 17 (Fig. 3a), a triangle-like shape 18 (Fig. 3b) and a square-like Figure 19 (Fig. 3c). The basic shape of the latter is a 0.5 mm thick disc, which has a concave central bulge 27 with a diameter of 3 mm has. The largest diameter of the disc is 5.4 mm, its smallest Diameter is 5 mm. The corners of the triangle and quadrangle are rounded.

Another embodiment of a halogen incandescent lamp is shown in FIG Neckline. Here too, the contact element 20 is bulged in a plate shape, while the wire-shaped outer power supply 21 inside the sleeve 11 is angled (22). The angled part 22 is with its long side the back of the contact element 20 connected by resistance welding.

Statt einer Abwinkelung kann eine drahtförmige äußere Stromzuführung 25 auch direkt mit dem Kontaktelement 26 im Bereich der Ausbauchung 27 stumpf verschweißt (28) sein (Fig. 5).Instead of a bend, a wire-shaped external power supply 25 can be used also directly with the contact element 26 in the region of the bulge 27 be butt welded (28) (Fig. 5).
