Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of floodlights.
- motor vehicles and more particularly projectors comprising a device for moving a corrective optical lens which allows to form several profiles of light beams.
- the beam width can be changed to be adapted to traffic conditions. For example, we can transform an enlarged road beam into a pointed road beam for light more or less the edges of the road according to the speed.
- corrective dioptres near the lamp to simply modify the beam width.
- the corrective optics must be mobile to be retracted or placed near the lamp, depending on the desired beam.
- the device described by this document includes a device for retracting the optics corrective device comprising a cage rotatably mounted in the reflector, a cage drive motor, placed at the rear of the reflector and a gear transmission and lever arm.
- This device is particularly bulky, the engine and the transmission occupying a large space outside the reflector.
- the rotating cage hinders the formation of the beam.
- Document DE-A-44 41 514 also discloses a device for moving a colored balloon.
- this colored balloon is intended for cover a motor vehicle headlamp lamp to change the color of the beam, not its light distribution.
- the precision of positioning is not necessary in this case, the person skilled in the art domain in question would not spontaneously refer to it.
- the device of movement of the bell comprises a bulky system actuator with rotary motor, gears, threaded rod and arm transfer which overflows to the location normally occupied by the reflector, thereby reducing flux recovery and efficiency projector optics.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a device for space-saving corrective optical displacement, and which in particular does not reduce the optical performance of the projector.
- Another object is to provide a displacement device allowing a precise and stable positioning of a corrective optic in the reflector.
- the invention provides a motor vehicle headlamp comprising a lens, a reflector, a lamp and corrective optics mobile able to be brought close to the lamp to modify the projected light beam, the corrective optics being mounted on a optical element which can be generally moved in parallel to the optical axis of the projector by a displacement device comprising a drive member and a guide assembly comprising a fixed element and a movable element, characterized in that the movable element is integral with an optical support arm, essentially transverse to the axis optical, the fixed element being disposed entirely on the outside a cheek of the reflector and the optical arm passing through a slit, slender and narrow, laid down in the cheek.
- Figure 1 shows the detail of internal parts of a projector 1.
- the reflector 3 has a shape intended to generate a beam from the emission of light from the filament of a lamp 4 placed in its focus.
- a corrective optics 5 is placed near the lamp 4.
- the corrective optics 5 can be, for example, formed of two spaced apart plano-convex lenses, as shown in Figure 2.
- Figure 1 shows that the optics 5 corrector can move between two positions 6 and 6 '. In the position 6 ', the lens 5 is placed as close as possible to the lamp, so that it corrects the light beam leaving the projector 1 by deflecting the radiation from the filament and heading towards the reflector.
- Corrective lens 5 is movable outside the scope of the lamp 4 so as not to carry out in this case no correction. Conveniently, the lens 5 is retracted by advancing it in the axis of the reflector in a position 6 shown in dotted in Figure 1.
- a guide assembly 200 for optics 5, which is positioned entirely outside the reflector so not to decrease the useful surface of the reflector.
- This set includes a piece or slide 202 movable in translation in a fixed slide 203.
- an optical support arm 7 connects optics 5 to a moving part 202, therefore external to reflector 3.
- the arm 7 preferably has at one end internal to the reflector, a plate 8 for fixing the optics 5.
- a narrow longitudinal slot 21 is formed in the thickness of the cheek 20 separating the lens 5 from the guide assembly 202.203. The slot 21 allows the translation of the arm 7 driven by the part mobile 202.
- One embodiment of the invention provides that all of guide 202,203 is arranged horizontally and has an oblong shape.
- the H-H axis of the guide assembly is parallel to the O-O axis of the reflector 3 and the optical arm 7 can advantageously be perpendicular to these axes, so as to precisely position the optics 5 relative to the axis O-O.
- the oblong shape and a thickness E reduced allow to accommodate the displacement device against the cheek 20 of the reflector 3 without substantially increasing the size of the projector.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the assembly guide consists of a slender strip 202 and a slide 203, the slide having a cavity 205 complementary to the strip 202, of so that the strip 202 is movable by sliding in the slide 203.
- the strip 202 has a shape rectangular and reduced thickness.
- the slider 202 slides in a cavity 205 substantially parallelepiped of the slide 203.
- the slide 203 itself has a shape parallelepiped and a thickness E reduced to form a set guide 202,203 oblong.
- the strip 202 may also have double acute edges B bevel, parallel to the guide axis G-G. These edges cooperate with complementary lateral grooves C, hollowed out in the walls corresponding to the slide 203.
- the assembly of the edges B and the grooves C allows precise and stable positioning of the strip relative to the axis G-G, which the vibrations and the heating of the projector 1 make necessary.
- the edges B can be formed, as shown in the FIG. 2, of lateral zones inclined in the shape of a "V" from a body of the strip 202 formed of a thin rectangular plate. Edges B thus contribute to the rigidity of the strip 202.
- a spar can, in in addition, be provided in the axis of the rectangular plate.
- Rod 202 can advantageously be made of plastic by extrusion.
- this guiding in grooves C of the cavity makes it possible to give the cavity 205 a slightly greater thickness than that of the slide and reduce sliding friction.
- the slide 203 is fixed to the reflector 3.
- the strip 202 is therefore movable relative to the reflector.
- the optical support arm 7 is fixed to the front end of the strip 202. It can be molded in one piece with the strip 202 or attached to it.
- the other end of the strip 202 has a hole 207 to connect it to a drive member 201.
- the end of the strip 202 provided with the hole 207 can protrude from slide 203, but the integral end of the arm optical holder 7 must always remain in the cavity 205 for its guidance.
- the slide 203 thus has a longitudinal slot 206 for passage of the optical arm 7.
- This slot 206 is preferably of the same width that the slot 21 of the cheek 20 of the reflector 3, the two slots 206,21 being intended to be face to face when fixing the assembly of guide 202,203 under the cheek 20.
- FIG. 2 also shows that the slot 206 extends to the rear end of the slide 203 to allow the introduction of the moving part consisting of the strip 202 and of the arm 7.
- the guide assembly could be formed, conversely, with a fixed strip, on which slides a hollow slide and secured to an optical support arm 7.
- the interior space of the projector can be increased to high temperature.
- the displacement device 200 and its assembly guide 202,203 being placed under the lower flange 20 of the reflector 3, that is to say in the coldest part of the reflector 3, the risks of deformation are minimized. This provision is that shown in figure 1.
- a drive member is added to the guide assembly 202.203 to form the complete displacement device 200.
- the organ drive can be the end of a cable activated by the driver of the vehicle. But, preferably, the drive member is a geared motor unit with linear output 201. Several arrangements can be considered for the drive.
- FIG. 2 thus represents a first embodiment in which the displacement device 200 extends entirely along the axis guide G-G.
- the drive member 201 is arranged in the axis G-G of the guide assembly 202, 203.
- the member 201 is preferably a geared motor block with output linear whose drive shaft is collinear with the axis G-G.
- a platform 208 extends rearward from the fixed slide 203 preferably being made in one piece with it in the form of a extension of its lower wall, so that the linear actuator 201 is mounted opposite the guide cavity 205.
- a longitudinal beam 209 can be made under the platform 208 and can be extended under the slide 203.
- the slide 203 and platform 208 can advantageously be produced a molded plastic part.
- FIG. 3 thus represents an actuator linear 301 arranged parallel to the guide cavity 305.
- a fixed slide 303 has a cavity 305 with a slot 306 and lateral grooves C intended for the sliding of a strip 302 secured to an optical arm 7.
- the body of the slide 303 is extended transversely to the G-G axis by a housing frame of the actuator 301.
- This frame has a rectangular cavity 310 or cylindrical into which the actuator 301 is introduced.
- a notch 312 and fixing holes 313 can be provided in the frame for immobilize the actuator in the mounted position.
- the strip 302 similar to the strip to strip 202 of Figure 2, further comprises its free rear end a tab 304 extending transversely to be connected to the operating part 311 of the linear actuator 301.
- This variant accommodates the entire movement device under the cheek of the reflector 3, which advantageously reduces the axial size.
- the invention also provides clearance compensation means transverse of the sliding moving part. It is indeed desirable avoid any lateral play of the optics 5, to guarantee perfect stability of the beam transformed by the optics.
- FIG. 4 thus represents a portion of slide 203 or 303 of which the cavity A is wider transversely than the strip which is there destiny.
- Such an enlargement is occupied by a jaw M able to move in the transverse direction T-T to the guide axis G-G, under the thrust of a linear wavy spring R.
- a longitudinal groove C ′, in the form of "V" is hollowed out in the jaw, parallel to the guide axis G-G and symmetrically to the groove C hollowed out in the opposite wall of the cavity A of the slide.
