Definitions
- the invention relates to a heat exchanger according to the preamble of the claim.
- the peripheral region connects to a marginal portion of the plate extending all around the set of collars.
- the object of the invention is to reduce the bulk of the collector plate with respect to this known embodiment.
- the invention relates in particular to a heat exchanger according to claims 1 to 6.
- the invention also relates to a collector plate according to claim 7.
- the collector plate 1 shown in the figures made of stamped metal sheet, comprises a peripheral region 2 defining an annular channel having an inner side wall 3, a bottom 4 and an outer side wall 5. This channel serves to house the peripheral edge 6 a fluid box 7 shaped tray, and a seal 8. After assembly, the free edge 9 of the outer wall 5 is folded by crimping on the edge 6 of the fluid box to immobilize the and compress the seal 8 between the edge 6 and the bottom 4 of the channel.
- the collector plate is shown before crimping to Figures 2 to 5 .
- the heat exchanger partially illustrated at the figure 1 also comprises a bundle of tubes 10 consisting of a row of tubes 11 each having an oblong cross-section elongate in the width direction of the header plate, spaced apart from each other, over most of their length, by spacers 12 in the form of corrugated strips.
- Each tube 11 passes through a correspondingly shaped opening 13 formed in the central region of the collecting plate, this opening being surrounded by an inclined collar 14.
- the end of each tube opens into the internal volume 15 of the fluid box, tabs 12 being located outside this volume.
- the inner wall 3 thereof is connected to the ends of the collars 14 via a flange 16 oriented substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the tubes.
- the two flanges 16 form, with the valley bottoms 17 between the flanges 14, a plate extending substantially in a plane perpendicular to the aforementioned direction.
- the plate is not quite flat, the flanges 16 having a slightly undulated shape so as to limit the mechanical stresses during the manufacture of the header plate.
- the plate has no flange along the short sides of the peripheral channel, where the inner wall of the channel is connected directly to the outer flank of the extreme neck of the row to form a single inclined plane 18.
- This provision decreases the size of the heat exchanger in the longitudinal direction of the collector plate by twice the width of the rim 16.
- the inclined plane 18 is more inclined relative to the general plane of the plate than the other flanks of the collars 14, which further reduces this clutter.
- the end collars connect directly to the inner wall of the channel, also at their ends, along inclined surfaces 19, so that only the intermediate collars are separated from the channel by the flanges 16.
- the inclined plane 18 may have substantially the same inclination relative to the general plane of the plate as the other flanks of the collars and form a dihedral obtuse with the wall 3 of the channel, perpendicular to this plane.
- Another variant provides for the direct connection of the collars to the walls of the channel not over the entire width of the collector plate, but over its entire length, thus reducing the size of the heat exchanger in the direction of the width.

Description
The invention relates to a heat exchanger according to the preamble of the claim.
The object of the invention is to reduce the bulk of the collector plate with respect to this known embodiment.
L'invention vise notamment un échangeur de chaleur selon les revendications 1 à 6.The invention relates in particular to a heat exchanger according to claims 1 to 6.
The invention also relates to a collector plate according to
- the
figure 1 is a partially cutaway perspective view showing a header plate according to the invention associated with a fluid box and a bundle of tubes; - the
figure 2 is a top view of the collector plate illustrated atfigure 1 ; and - the
Figures 3 to 5 are partial sectional views along the lines III-III, IV-IV and VV of thefigure 2 .
In known manner, along each of the two long sides of the peripheral channel 3-5 of rectangular contour, the
Another variant provides for the direct connection of the collars to the walls of the channel not over the entire width of the collector plate, but over its entire length, thus reducing the size of the heat exchanger in the direction of the width.
