- Shelters in the form of hemispherical concrete domes are already known. These shelters are long and expensive to manufacture and very difficult to transport. They are also poorly insulated. Also known are polyhedral shelters in the general shape of a dome, consisting of triangular panels assembled using screw parts, of the type used in the assembly of furniture. Steel clips 8 are then introduced in the form of a U with a base 9 and two branches or wings 10, having, at their end, a rib 11 of triangular shape. The two branches are passed through the two slots 7 which face each other until the ribs 11 are clipped into the grooves 6. It is preferred to use two clips for a panel edge. Disassembly is easy by pulling on the clips.
- the seal between the two adjacent panels can be ensured by placing a seal between the two rods 4 pressed against each other by their clips 8. It can also simply be sealed by a silicone sealant 12 placed in the space between two exterior facings 1.
- Some of the panels may have an opening for doors and windows. Two adjacent panels may have openings facing each other to form the door u13. Windows which will be fitted with opening glazing are shown at 14. At the upper end between the panels P5, an air opening 15 is left with a hatch or other means ensuring impermeability to rain.
- these panels can be encircled by a hoop (not shown) around the entire perimeter, or else firmly fixed to the ground or the floor.
- the floor can be, for example, a concrete slab, or it can be made raised in wooden slats or in plates of suitable materials fixed on an underlying framework to create a crawl space.
- the wooden elements are made of balza and the folding floor is composed of waterproof elements inflated with compressed air.
- the shelters can be erected on site by their users, for example people who are homeless or in a precarious situation, after the development and servicing of land.
