Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for replacing the cloth Awning. It also relates to an arrangement for implementation of such a procedure.
- Awnings have a winding shaft on which the awning cover can be wound up when it is not needed.
- the winding shaft has an elongated opening, usually the opening of one in the Provided longitudinal slot. This shows e.g. the EP-A1, 0 444 218.
- a so-called piping is inserted into these, typically a Plastic pipe that has a diameter in the range of about 4 to 6.5 mm, or another suitable plastic profile. Of the Hem with the inserted piping is in the longitudinal groove of the winding shaft pushed, and in this way the awning cover becomes captive, and secured against train, attached to the winding shaft.
- An arrangement with a is known from EP-A 1, 0 444 218 Awning cloth and with a winding shaft that with different types Provide openings for attaching one end of the awning fabric is. Some of these openings have a circular cross section and is suitable for the already explained attachment by means of a Keders, which is in a hem at the end of the awning cloth. Another type of opening has a larger angular extent. An interior is inserted into these openings by means of an adhesive Velcro tape glued in place with a Velcro tape at the end of the awning fabric can be connected. Alternatively, the inner Velcro tape also by permanent deformation of outer sections of the Winding shaft to be firmly connected to the latter.
- the object of the invention is to provide a new method of replacement the fabric of an awning, and a new awning arrangement, to provide.
- the invention is advantageously developed so that in step a) the piping in the longitudinal groove of the winding shaft is left. This makes it unnecessary to remove the winding shaft, to be able to remove the piping from it.
- step b) a provided on the magnetic tape Hook hooked into an edge of the longitudinal groove of the winding shaft becomes. This creates an additional connection that can withstand tensile loads with the winding shaft.
- this end area "sticks" of the awning fabric on the winding shaft, because this exists regularly from a galvanized or painted steel tube, to which a magnet adheres very well. This prevents one unwanted shifting of the awning fabric in the axial direction, but allows when stretching the awning cover Move it in the tangential direction.
- a very secure attachment results from an arrangement where the flexible magnetic tape on the winding shaft facing side of the awning fabric is attached. Hereby becomes the magnetic air gap between the flexible magnetic tape and the winding shaft very small and therefore the magnetic Holding force particularly large.
- the flexible Magnetic tape on the awning fabric through at least one seam, or attached by an adhesive connection is preferably about 4 to 6 mm, which a secure and permanent connection between the awning fabric and the flexible magnetic tape allowed without the latter by to weaken the sewing process in an undesirable manner.
- a very simple embodiment results in an inventive Arrangement in which the flexible magnetic tape and the hooks are integrally formed with one another.
- magnetic tape and hook can be made by the same process, e.g. attached to the awning fabric by one or two seams will.
- these are flexible magnetic tape and the hook together in the form of a Profile formed from an elastomer, which elastomer a magnetic material, in particular a hard ferrite powder, is included.
- the elastomer can be rubber, a plastic, or a mixture of the two.
- a convenient form of hook that can be hooked into the opening the winding shaft is used, characterized in that in stretched condition, and seen in cross section, this hook is designed in the manner of an acute angle.
- Fig. 1 shows a plan view of one end of a winding shaft 10, which in the usual way as a galvanized hollow cylinder is made of sheet steel and in one place Scope with a longitudinal groove 11 for attaching an awning cloth 12 is provided. Every kind of Shading, e.g. also the cloth of a blind or similar.
- a piping 14 This is from an already removed, old awning cloth, for fastening it he served. This old awning cloth had to be replaced because it had gotten bad over time. This was done it separated at its hem and - in the radial direction - pulled out of the groove 11 so that only the piping 14th remained in the groove 11.
- the welt 14 can e.g. a plastic ear with 6 mm diameter, but can also be any have a different shape, which in the Holds longitudinal groove 11 positively. When using a welt 14 with a circular cylindrical cross section is its outer diameter typically larger than the opening 16 of the groove 11. The is natural Invention equally applicable to a winding shaft, the only has a longitudinal opening 16, but no special groove.
- FIG. 3 shows, is on the winding shaft side End portion 15 of the awning fabric 12, and on the side facing the winding shaft 10, a flexible magnetic tape 18 sewn by means of two seams 19 and 20, the course of which from Fig. 2 clearly shows.
- These seams have on most of theirs Longitudinal extent a stitch spacing that is 5 mm or more and is typically about 8 mm in size. This will attach to the flexible Magnetic tape 18 allows this without being repeated Destroy perforation with the sewing needle or weaken it too much. Alternatively, e.g. an adhesive connection possible.
- the magnetic tape 18 is made by extruding a mixture from an elastomer and a hard ferrite powder, and this mixture is magnetized so that e.g. on the bottom 4 shows a north pole and on the top a south pole, as indicated by the letters N and S there.
- N and S there.
- At the plant of the tape 18 against the winding shaft 10 is sufficient strong magnetic pull that the tape 18 in the desired position holds on the winding shaft 10 and an axial displacement of the Awning cloth 12 prevented relative to the winding shaft 10, but one enables radial displacement.
- the magnetic tape 18 has a Hook profile 22 provided for hanging in an edge of the opening 16.
- This hook profile 22 is designed so that it in the groove 11th leaves enough space for the piping 14 remaining there so that it does not need to be removed.
- the opening angle alpha of the hook profile 22 an acute angle of e.g. 80 °. After assembly according to FIG. 3 this angle still takes place due to the curvature of the magnetic tape something, so it gets a little more pointed.
- the hook 22 is like this trained that he into the various common groove shapes such winding shafts can be easily attached and the respective piping 14 does not hinder.
- the rounded shape 23 its right end in Figs. 3 and 4 has been used for this purpose proven to be very beneficial.
- Figures 3 and 4 show a preferred cross-sectional profile of this hook 22nd
- step 30 of the flow chart of FIG first the old awning fabric (not shown) from the Removed winding shaft 10 by slitting it on its hem and pulls radially out of the opening 16. That remains the piping 14 as a - now non-functional - part in the longitudinal groove 11 of the winding shaft 10.
- the magnetic tape 18 does so aligning the awning fabric 12 on the winding shaft 10 very easy as it is relatively easy in the radial direction can move, but not in the axial direction. By taking off from the winding shaft 10, however, it can also be used if necessary be moved in the axial direction.
- step 32 the new awning fabric 12 is now under tension wound up.
- the hook profile 22 pulls into the groove 11 and hooks on the left edge of the recess 16 in FIG. 3.
- At step 33 at least one security wrap is carried out Winding shaft 10 manufactured by the awning fabric 12, i.e. this in any case completely wraps around the winding shaft 10, even if the awning is fully extended. This prevents that accidentally the hook 22 due to improper Operation of the awning is torn out of the opening 16.
- FIG. 6 to 8 show a second embodiment of the invention.
- the magnetic tape 38 has a Barbs 42 for hooking into an edge 41 of the slot opening 16 Mistake.
- the hook opening 43 better matches the cross-sectional shape of the edge 41 adjusted and forms an acute angle (comparable to that Angle alpha of Fig. 4) of approximately 45 °. This hangs the hook 42 even better at this edge 41.
- the hook 42 enough space for the piping 14 remaining in the groove 11.
- the awning 12 is covered in the second embodiment on Fig. 8, only in the area of the left free end of the magnetic tape 38 sewn on (only seam 39) and extends only about a third of the magnetic tape 38.
- This has the advantage that the Magnetic tape 38 on its side facing the hook 42 more flexible and better adheres to the curved surface of the winding shaft 10 can nestle, also because there is not one Seam (see seam 20 of FIG. 1) is an undesirable magnetic Air gap is generated, which would reduce the magnetic force. 1 to 4, the magnetic tape 18 is namely by the sewn awning fabric 12 additionally stiffened, what for Assembly is less convenient.
- the magnetic tape 18 or 38 already has a particular advantage curved during its manufacture (e.g. by extrusion) produced, approximately in the manner shown in Fig. 8, wherein the curvature is chosen so that it more closely matches the curvature Winding shafts 10 is adapted.
- the preferred stitch width of the Seam 39 is also in the range from 4 to 6 mm.
- the mode of operation is the same as that of the first exemplary embodiment agree and is therefore not described again.
- FIG. 9 and 10 show a further embodiment with a deviating from FIG. 4 magnetization pattern for the magnetic tape 38.
- the latter is on its the winding shaft 10 (Fig. 8) facing side 49 heteropolar magnetized, i.e. elongated strips 48 with north poles alternate with elongated stripes 50 with southern Poland.
- Fig. 10 also shows in schematic Way the course of the magnetic field lines 52 on the Page 49 of magnetic tape 38.
- the method of operation is correct with that of the first embodiment and is therefore not described anew.
