Abstract

A profiled seal (1) for plastic, metal or wooden windows can bridge even large gap widths in that the sealing lip (13) and the sealing bead (12) are given a special shape and a special position, and in addition are made of plastic materials that do not have the same softness or hardness. The sealing lip (13) and the sealing bead (12) extend obliquely away from each other, forming a V-shape. The interface (14) between the softer material of the sealing bead (12) and the harder material of the sealing lip (13) extends up to the sealing lip (13) on the one hand and to the anchoring wedge (11) on the other hand. Besides being able to bridge without problems large gap widths, the profiled seal (1) further has the advantage of being capable of being continuously laid without problems in angle areas and of always sealing in a reliable manner, since the sealing bead (12) and the sealing lip (13) are appropriately deformed when the glass pane (2) is set.

Description

Profildichtung für große Spaltweiten Profile seal for large gap widths
B e s c h r e i b u n gDescription
The invention relates to a profile seal made of elastic material for sealing the glass panes from the profiles of windows, doors, facades and the like, in particular on the weather side with a profile base body and molded anchoring wedge made of conventional, elastic sealing material and one on the Anchoring wedge on the opposite side arranged inner sealing zones made of the same material in the form of a sealing lip and an outer sealing zone at a distance from the basic profile body in the form of a sealing bead made of elastomeric or thermoplastic material.
In the known profile seal, which is basically known from EP-PS 0 247 533, the sealing bead and the sealing lip are arranged at a distance from one another on a profile base body, so that the profile base body with the anchoring wedge serves practically as a carrier for the two sealing parts. Under the pressure of the glass pane, the sealing lip is bent towards the center line of the anchoring wedge. The sealing lip has a slightly concave design, which increases the sealing force when pressed. Both sealing elements, ie sealing bead and sealing lip, perform their sealing action completely unaffected by one another, ie they are displaced or influenced accordingly by the pressed-on glass pane, in order to ensure the necessary sealing. The advantage of the profile seal described here is above all that the elastomer or thermoplastic material of the sealing bead enables the profile seal to be laid continuously without wrinkling in the critical corner region. A similar sealing profile is known from EP-A-Ü 575 937, the two sealing elements being displaced to one end relative to the anchoring wedge on the profile body. The advantage here should be that this makes it easier to make corresponding incisions which are necessary for laying on T or cross joints, in particular of aluminum windows. With both The known seals have the disadvantage that in extreme cases gaps of up to 2 mm can be bridged. Otherwise, it is no longer possible to achieve a clean corner formation, so that one must then fall back on the usual technology in which work has been carried out with vulcanized corner pieces or glued miters.
The invention is therefore based on the object of creating a profile seal which can be processed all round, seals securely and uniformly and can also be made to bridge gaps of 4 mm and more.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the sealing lip points obliquely away from the sealing bead and that the interface between the soft material of the sealing bead and the harder material of the sealing lip extends into the foot zone of the sealing lip and thereby the foot of the anchoring wedge is designed to save.
The foot zone of the anchoring wedge is retained in its original material hardness in order to specify sufficient rigidity there and thus to ensure an exact positioning of the profile seal as a whole. The special design of the two sealing elements sealing lip and sealing bead leads to the fact that under the pressure of the glass pane the harder material in the area of the foot zone of the sealing lip is pressed around a virtual pivot point, namely into the softer material of the expanded bead zone, so that the sealing lip as a whole has a very elastic support with a relatively large - practically reversible - deformation path. As a result, the profile seal receives a high compressibility overall and thus the ability to reliably bridge gaps of up to 4 mm and more. In this way, the previous glazing technique can be maintained without any problems even if there are large gap widths due to corresponding dimensions or calculation errors. The fact that wider gap widths can be bridged also makes it possible at the same time to largely adapt the material thicknesses to the structural needs of the frame construction work. In order to improve the K value according to the Heat Protection Ordinance, this can be achieved not only through appropriate glass, but also through improved thermal insulation through more sealant or wider seal heights. According to an expedient embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the sealing bead and sealing lip are designed to form a V-shaped expansion with respect to the center line of the anchoring wedge. Thus, as already described above, pressure is practically applied uniformly to the sealing bead and sealing lip when the glass pane is pressed on, so that both deform accordingly and bridge the existing gap widths. It is also advantageous that the V-shape contributes to a uniform distribution of the sealing bead mass, so that the improved thermal insulation can also be achieved in a targeted manner.
Another expedient design is that in which the sealing lip, the profile body and the anchoring wedge consist of a material having approximately 60 ° Shore and the expanded sealing bead having approximately 30 ° Shore. With a corresponding division of the material, it has been found that on the one hand the sealing lip has the necessary hardness and, of course, also the profile base body and the anchoring wedge, and on the other hand that a sealing bead is provided, the sealing compound of which is uniform due to the deformation or movement the sealing lip or the other parts of the profile seal is ensured. As already mentioned, this deformation leads to the filling of the gap width but also to a uniform laying in the area of the corners and T-joints.
The corresponding mutual influence of the sealing bead and sealing lip in the decisive area of the V-shaped spread is ensured in particular when the sealing bead is pronounced in an arc shape and is correspondingly covered over the profile base body up to the sealing lip. As mentioned above, the foot or the foot zone of the anchoring wedge remains free, or the harder material is used here, so that the function of the profile seal as a whole is given, in particular in the case of plastic and metal profiles.
A particularly advantageous adaptation of the sealing bead when pressing the glass pane is to be expected if the sealing bead on the frame side has a recess giving it the overall shape of a cock's head. The sealing bead can then also deform accordingly in its upper region or in the contact surface, so that the targeted contact with the glass pane is achieved.
The influencing of the sealing lip, in turn, when the glass pane is pressed on and its pressure on the sealing bead takes place particularly optimally if the sealing lip is equipped at the free end with a supporting part projecting approximately at right angles in the direction of the glass pane or sealing bead. The support part can also be hammer-shaped in order to influence the deformation path in a targeted manner if this is desired or necessary.
The profile seal can be used in a targeted manner for improved thermal insulation insofar as the profile body below the sealing lip can have a shoulder protruding far above. This approach can be used to completely cover the metal surface on the frame and thus to contribute to an improved thermal insulation. If for some reason this approach is not needed, it can also be separated.
Ver¬ formen eintritt.Today wooden windows are almost always glazed in wet, for which expensive silicone, plastics or putty is used. In order to be able to use the profile seal according to the present invention in this area as well, the invention provides that the anchoring wedge is formed in two parts, one partial wedge being formed on the end of the shoulder and a second partial wedge on the opposite end of the basic profile body which carries the sealing bead. This specially designed profile seal allows the wooden frame to be securely edged and sealed, only an additional or a correspondingly deepened groove having to be milled into the wooden profiles of the window, into which the corresponding partial wedge is pressed at the end of the shoulder. The sealing wedge at the opposite end advantageously lies on and around the frame, with the subsequent deformation and sealing lip and sealing bead also providing an advantageous seal here by appropriate adaptation or deformation.
An advantageous further development of the profile seal provided for wooden windows is that in which the wedge associated with the approach is additionally or saved the underside of the profile body is provided with an adhesive layer. This makes it possible to retrofit wooden windows that are used, which of course can only be provided with a groove with correspondingly great effort. The adhesive layer makes it possible to dispense with this groove for the partial wedge formed on the attachment. Of course, the adhesive layer can also remain if you want to work with the second part wedge on the end.
On the one hand to protect the sealing bead and on the other hand to ensure a uniform deformation of all sealing elements when pressing on the glass pane, the invention provides that the second part of the wedge is stepped upwards towards the underside of the profile base body and then leaving a hollow body under the sealing bead covering it up to its contact surface the glass pane is designed to be sufficiently wide. This shape ensures a corresponding fixing of the profile seal to the frame when the glass pane is pressed onto the sealing lip and sealing bead.
In modern house buildings in particular, the coloring of the windows is an essential design element. In order to avoid a negative influence on the seal or to achieve a positive influence on the overall impression while maintaining the advantageous seal, the invention provides that the sealing bead covers the contact surface on the glass pane and up to the sealing lip and if necessary . also has an extensive decorative coating. As explained, coating is carried out for decorative reasons. The coating can therefore be limited to the areas visible through the glass pane. There is no reason to fear that the decorative bead or the entire profile seal will be influenced by the decorative coating, especially if the decorative coating consists of a vulcanized, non-cellular and UV-resistant film. The film or the covering is vulcanized thinly (EPDM), whereby it can be colored or also transparent. The important thing is the non-cellular and UV-resistant training.
The invention is characterized in particular by the fact that a profile seal is created which, above all, can also reliably bridge large gap widths, so that they are used advantageously and independently of the particular circumstances can. The soft material of the sealing bead is no longer limited to the pure bead zone, but extends with its interface to the vicinity of the foot or the foot area of the sealing lip. With a more or less large recess, the base of the anchoring wedge is left in its original material hardness in order to guarantee the necessary rigidity here. Under the pressure of the glass pane, the harder material in the area of the sealing lip then presses into the softer material of the expanded bead zone in such a way that on the one hand a corresponding elastic support is achieved and on the other hand an advantageous deformation of the softer material, for example the sponge rubber of the sealing bead . The sealing bead itself or the profile seal can in particular in corner areas but also with T-joints u. Shocks are processed safely and without interruptions to the sealing bead.
Bei der Darstellung gemäß Fig. 1 handelt es sich um ein Ausführungsbeispiel.1 is used to fix the glass pane 2 together with the pane block 3 between the glazing bead 6 and the window frame profile 4. The glass sealing profile 7 serves to seal the inside, the profile seal 1 serves to seal the weather side. The profile seal 11 is fixed by a groove 5 which is provided in the window frame profile 4. 1 is an embodiment.
Der Verankerungs¬ keil 11 ist mit der Nut 5 korrespondierend ausgebildet und sorgt dafür, daß die Profil¬ dichtung 1 in ihrer Lage genau fixiert ist.2 and also FIG. 3, the profile seal 1 consists of the profile base body 10 and the anchoring wedge 11 arranged on the bottom. The anchoring wedge 11 is designed to correspond to the groove 5 and ensures that the profile seal 1 is in its position Location is precisely fixed.
On the side of the profile base body 10 opposite the anchoring wedge 11, a sealing bead 12 and a sealing lip 13 are provided, both of which bear against the glass pane 2 to be sealed, as can be seen in FIG. 1. The sealing bead 12 consists of a closed-cell, driven material based on elastomers or thermoplastic such. B. foam rubber and has a correspondingly large dimensioned bead body. While the sealing bead 12 has a correspondingly soft 30 Shore, the remaining area of the prototype seal 1, that is to say both the profile base body 10 as well as the anchoring wedge 11 and the sealing lip 13, is made from a customary elastic material, preferably with a Shore hardness 60.
This is also shown in FIG. 2 in particular. The course of the boundary surface 14 is selected such that a sufficient foot zone 15 remains for the sealing lip 13 and a sufficiently large foot 16 for the anchoring wedge 11. Via the foot 16, the anchoring wedge has the necessary stability when it is inserted into the groove 15 and the foot zone 15 of the sealing lip 13 enables the sealing lip 13 to be moved around a virtual pivot point when the glass pane 2 is put on or in, to pivot into the softer material of the expanded bead zone or sealing bead 12, as a result of which it experiences a very elastic support with a relatively large — practically reversible — deformation path. As a result, the advantageous gap width bridging is achieved, which cannot be achieved with previously known profile seals. In addition, the profile seal 1 can advantageously be pressed in the corner area be without fear of wrinkles or the like. This guarantees a clean corner formation. This embodiment of the profile seal 1, shown in particular in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2, and thus by a functional choice of the position of the interface 14 between different materials and the position of the sealing bead 12 and sealing lip 13 relative to one another can easily bridge gap widths of more than 4 mm and the pulling through of the profile seal 1 can also be maintained in the corner area.
Damit kann der Bewegungsbereich der Dicht! ippe 13 gezielt beeinflußt werden.FIGS. 2 and 3 illustrate that the sealing bead 12 and the sealing lip 13 are designed to have a V-shaped expansion in relation to the center line 17 of the anchoring wedge 11. The deformation described above when the glass pane 2 is applied is particularly easy to achieve, with the glass pane 2 and the system surface 20 being particularly favorably supported by the recess 19 in the sealing bead 12. The corresponding deformation or adaptation of the profile seal 1 is further favored by the special design of the sealing lip 13, which has a support part 22 which projects at right angles at the free end 21 and projects in the direction of the glass pane 2. FIGS. 5 and 6 show an embodiment in which this support part 22, 22 'projects beyond the sealing lip 13 on both sides. This allows the sealing area to move! ippe 13 can be influenced specifically.
The profile seal 1, which is shown in FIG. 4, corresponds essentially to that according to FIGS. 2 and 3. However, the profile base body 10 is designed to be particularly wide, whereby this attachment 24 on the profile base body 10 serves as a sealing lip. This sealing lip is used as a cover and at the same time thermal insulation of the metal surfaces, in particular of the aluminum surfaces on the frame. Especially with aluminum as the material for the window frame 4 and the glazing bead 6, thermal protection is becoming more and more important because this material is particularly heat-conducting. The overstretch protection by the vulcanized-in thread 35 simplifies in particular the laying of the profile seal and prevents inadvertent tearing or severing.
Während diese Holzfenster heute immer noch naß mit Hilfe von Silikon, Kunststoff oder Kitt eingeglast werden, ermöglichen die besonde¬ ren Ausbildungen nach Fig. 5 und 6 eine Einglasungstechnik, die im Prinzip der bei Kunststoff und Metallfenstern entspricht.4, a conventional anchoring wedge 11 is formed on the underside 27 of the profile body 10, FIGS. 5 and 6 show in so far as special training, as the usual one-piece anchoring wedge is not used here. The reason for this is that the profiles shown here are used for dry glazing of wooden windows. While these wooden windows are still glazed in with the help of silicone, plastic or putty, the special designs according to FIGS. 5 and 6 enable a glazing technique which corresponds in principle to that of plastic and metal windows.
The partial wedges 25 and 26 arranged on the underside 27, which are practically formed on both ends of the basic profile body 10, ensure a corresponding fixing on the wooden profile. The wooden profile is only provided with an additional or a recessed groove in which the partial wedge 25 is held. Otherwise, the processing is the same as for metal frames and plastic frames.
While the partial wedge 25 ensures that it can be fixed in the groove (not shown here), the opposite partial wedge 26 is designed such that its steps 29, 30 ensure that it rests securely on the wooden frame. This fixation and thus also the sealing is further favored by the fact that when the glass pane 2 is brought up, the partial wedge moves overall in the direction of the wooden frame, not shown here. The coating designated 31 over the softer material of the sealing bead 12 favors this movement and additionally the hollow body 32 in the front area or in the area of the steps 29, 30.
The retrofitting of already used wooden windows with such profile seals 1 is generally made more difficult by the fact that subsequent grooving is not possible. In order to dispense with this introduction of the groove, an adhesive layer 28 is provided on the underside 27 of the basic profile body 10 according to FIG. 6, which, as also shown in FIG. 6, makes the second partial wedge 25 superfluous.
In Figures 4, 5 and 6, 34 is an incision which is intended to facilitate laying in the corner area. In this case, this incision 34 can be predetermined by a weak zone or simply by marking so that the incision 34 is made easier. The incision 34 runs in the harder Material.
This decorative coating 33 extends over large parts of the sealing bead 12 to the edge of the sealing lip 13 and possibly also beyond. This decorative coating 33 is used in particular for decorative reasons, which is why it remains restricted to the areas visible through the glass pane 2.
All of the features mentioned, including those that can be seen in the drawings alone, are regarded as essential to the invention, alone and in combination.
