Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for fixing a plate, such as a plate. a glass sheet in a frame member and a sealing member or fastener for use in such a method.
- wet glazing it is thus possible, for example, to fix the glass pane between aluminum frame and glass, usually on both sides of the glass, by means of "liquid adhesive” (for example silicone, PUR, etc.) in the context of so-called wet glazing.
- liquid adhesive for example silicone, PUR, etc.
- wet glazing it is advantageous with regard to the technical properties of this wet-glazing that the bonding of aluminum to glass produces a secure connection, and that a good sealing property can be achieved.
- the wet glazing is advantageous because no play-free "padding" of the glass to Alurahmen is necessary and because the variety of different types of rubber seals omitted.
- the method also has serious disadvantages, such as the technical properties that the glass edge composite can be adversely affected by incorrectly selected adhesive (outgassing) that poor ventilation of the splice is given and an uncontrolled curing time results, and that the quality control is difficult or impossible because the bonding is not visible.
- the US 4,581,089 discloses an L-shaped variable width seal for compensating for bumps embedded between a window post and two glass sheets. By curing, the seal between the window post and a glass plate is fixed, and then after a possible transport, the second glass pane is added. This allows two adjacent window posts to be vertically slidable without losing the seal. From a double-sided tape on the long leg is in the US 4,581,089 not talk.
- the variable width here depends on the amount of filled sealant.
- the DE 20 2005 003 874 U1 relates to a sealing adhesive tape for fixing a glass plate in a frame.
- the adhesive tape used as a strip in this case has an elastic layer, at least one further layer and at least one adhesive layer.
- a double-sided adhesive tape, as well as a cover film are also disclosed.
- the glass plate can be fastened in the frame at the same time and the groove of the frame can be sealed.
- the cover sheet may be in two parts, so that a Part before inserting the frame, and the second part can be removed after inserting the frame.
- the adhesive tape for building windows, only for windows of household appliances, which are usually small and do not exert so much force in the vertical direction as in vertically arranged windows.
- the solution to this problem is achieved, inter alia, that arranged in a first step on at least one of the glass and parallel to this aligned inside of the mounting groove wind a mounting rubber, on the glass pane facing surface, a double-sided adhesive tape is attached.
- the glass pane facing side of the double-sided adhesive tape is covered with the cover, that is, the sticky top is not exposed.
- the glass pane is now pushed into the mounting groove (which is unproblematic due to the fact that the adhesive tape is covered with the cover film), wherein the glass pane in the mounting groove is replaced by at least one counter element (eg counter-sealing rubber) disposed on the opposite side of the glass pane ) or the opposite inner side of the mounting groove is pressed against the double-sided adhesive tape.
- the width of the opening gap of the mounting groove is adjusted so that even in this step, the glass is pressed at least partially non-positively in the mounting groove.
- this second step on the opposite side of the mounting rubber side no rubber seal is still arranged, and that this opposite Gegendichtgumni inserted after completion of the second step respectively is obtained.
- the covering film is removed when the glass pane is inserted in the mounting groove and, in other words, an additional fabric bond is produced.
- the essence of the invention is thus that it has been recognized that it is surprisingly possible when using a combined element consisting of mounting sealing rubber with double-sided adhesive tape due to the existing elasticity of the mounting rubber, insert the glass in a state in which the cover still on the double-sided duct tape is arranged, and due to the elasticity, it is also possible to extract this cover with the glass pane pushed out of the slot between glass sheets and mounting rubber seal.
- This facilitates the assembly process enormously, and it allows a both positive and cohesive fastening of the glass sheet in the profile without the usual problems with the positioning of the glass pane, if the cover sheet before the penetration of the glass, as in the prior art is common, is removed.
- a first preferred embodiment of the method is characterized in that the profile on the inside of the mounting groove via first means for the positive, non-positive and / or material attachment of the mounting sealing rubber with its side facing away from the glass pane.
- the mounting sealing rubber in turn on its side facing the inside of the mounting groove via second means for the positive, non-positive and / or material attachment of the mounting sealing rubber on the inside of the mounting groove.
- the process of mounting the mounting rubber with the aid of the first and / or second means attached to the profile before the glass is inserted.
- the first means are at least one groove and / or rib running at least in sections along the direction of the profile.
- the second means are preferably at least one rib and / or groove designed correspondingly for mutual engagement, wherein preferably the attachment of the rib in the groove via a positive connection, optionally in Combination with a traction and / or adhesion occurs.
- the mounting sealing rubber has a sealing leg arranged between the glass pane and the profile in the mounted state, which consists of a rubber-elastic material, so that a sufficient elasticity for the subsequent removal of the covering film is ensured.
- This is preferably ensured by having the sealing leg over a thickness of at least 0.5 mm, preferably at least 0.7 mm, more preferably in the range of 0.7-5.0 mm, and preferably of an elastic material such as elastomers (natural, synthetic), e.g. selected from rubber, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), silicone rubber, elastomeric other plastics (such as PE, PP, PVC, PA, PET), or a mixture of such materials.
- TPE thermoplastic elastomer
- EPDM ethylene-propylene-diene rubber
- silicone rubber elastomeric other plastics (such as PE, PP, PVC, PA, PET), or a mixture of such materials.
- the mounting sealing rubber preferably has a stop projection which at least partially covers the front edge of the mounting groove.
- the sealing leg and the stop projection are integrally formed.
- the mounting rubber is inserted into the mounting groove in such a way that the stop projection comes to rest flush with the leading edge.
- the mounting sealing rubber may preferably have a tear strip fixed to the stop projection by means of a tear-off edge, wherein preferably the sealing leg, stop projection and tear strip form an at least partially U-shaped profile, which surrounds the front section of the side leg of the mounting groove.
- the tear-off strip is torn off before or preferably after the removal of the cover film, so that only the sealing leg and stop projection remain in the mounted state at the end.
- the tear strip only serves for temporary attachment and positioning of the mounting rubber seal.
- the profile is an aluminum profile, preferably an aluminum profile untreated in the region of the mounting groove, which is designed to be U-shaped perpendicular to the course direction in order to form the mounting groove.
- a second mounting rubber is preferably arranged before inserting the glass or it is placed on the opposite side of the mounting groove before inserting the glass a matte rubber, this matte rubber is preferably attached to the profile (analogous to the above has been written for the mounting sealing rubber) and / or preferably wherein the counter-sealing rubber on at least one, preferably more of the glass plate facing sealing ribs has to ensure increased elasticity and thereby easier removal of the cover.
- the present invention relates to a mounting rubber according to claim 11, particularly preferred for use in a method as described above.
- the mounting rubber is characterized in that it has a mounted in the assembled state between the glass sheet and the profile sealing leg (in the form of a running parallel to the direction of the profile strip), which consists of a rubber-elastic material, and which preferably over a thickness of at least 0.5 mm, preferably at least 0.7 mm, more preferably in the range of 0.7-5.0 mm has (from the above materials) that it has a in the assembled state, the leading edge of the mounting groove at least partially covering stop projection, preferably the sealing leg and the stopper projection are integrally formed, and that on the glass pane facing side of the sealing leg a double-sided adhesive tape is arranged with cover.
- the cover film is preferably highly tear-resistant.
- it can consist of pre-stretched material (eg stretched PE).
- the product 9088FL from 3M is suitable as a double-sided adhesive tape. In this way it is ensured that the film can be easily pulled out of the gap.

Description
The present invention relates to a method for fixing a plate, such as a plate. a glass sheet in a frame member and a sealing member or fastener for use in such a method.
It is known, for example, for doors, gates or windows made of glass, a glass pane with the aid of frame elements or profiles, which have a glass pane in the edge receiving groove, circumferentially or only on one (for example, only above) or more pages ,
There are different approaches to attach the glass in these frame elements.
It is thus possible, for example, to fix the glass pane between aluminum frame and glass, usually on both sides of the glass, by means of "liquid adhesive" (for example silicone, PUR, etc.) in the context of so-called wet glazing. In particular, it is advantageous with regard to the technical properties of this wet-glazing that the bonding of aluminum to glass produces a secure connection, and that a good sealing property can be achieved. With regard to the assembly, the wet glazing is advantageous because no play-free "padding" of the glass to Alurahmen is necessary and because the variety of different types of rubber seals omitted.
However, the method also has serious disadvantages, such as the technical properties that the glass edge composite can be adversely affected by incorrectly selected adhesive (outgassing) that poor ventilation of the splice is given and an uncontrolled curing time results, and that the quality control is difficult or impossible because the bonding is not visible. With regard to the assembly, there are the disadvantages that processing only with consideration of the appropriate curing time of the adhesive or sealant system is possible (may take days) that the quality (visually and mechanically) depends on the craftsmanship skill of the processor that typically long intermediate storage is necessary which in turn requires additional space, that with 2-component adhesives shorter processing time can be achieved, but consuming processing equipment is necessary, and intensive cleaning work are necessary that possibly large adhesive volume is present at large gap width in that, with a small gap width between aluminum and glass, application of the adhesive is unfavorable and that the glass must be positioned for bonding.
Disadvantages also arise in terms of maintenance and service: In the case of glass breakage, the frame can usually only be reused with great effort (aluminum must be freed from adhesive); the splice must be cut with a knife.
- Aufgrund der offenen "Klebestelle", ergibt sich ein erhöhtes Verschmutzungsrisiko;
- es sind diverse spez. Dichtprofile notwendig;
- Due to the open "splice", there is an increased risk of contamination;
- There are various spec. Sealing profiles necessary;
- the shearing force of the dilatation has a 100% effect on the adhesive surface → Adhesive tape thickness must be selected accordingly, which can have a negative influence on the safety distances.
In terms of assembly, there are the disadvantages that a cutting of the seals is required (waste); that the application of the adhesive tape is expensive (no predefined position), that the straightening work from the frame is critical.
Also in terms of maintenance or service, there are disadvantages, especially in glass breakage, the frame can only be used again with great effort (aluminum must be removed from the tape) and the splice must be separated with a knife.

It is an object of the invention, inter alia, to provide an improved method for mounting a glass door, a glass wall or, in general, a glass pane in a profile, as well as mounting rubbers specially designed for carrying out this process.
Konkret geht es darum, ein Verfahren zur Befestigung wenigstens einer Glasscheibe oder generell einer Platte aus Glas, Holz, Metall (Alu, Stahl), Kunststoff oder Kombinationen davon in einem Profil, welches eine Montagenut zur umgreifendenSpecifically, it is about a method for attaching at least one glass or generally a plate of glass, wood, metal (aluminum, steel), plastic or combinations thereof in a profile, which a mounting groove for encompassing
The solution to this problem is achieved, inter alia, that arranged in a first step on at least one of the glass and parallel to this aligned inside of the mounting groove wind a mounting rubber, on the glass pane facing surface, a double-sided adhesive tape is attached. The glass pane facing side of the double-sided adhesive tape is covered with the cover, that is, the sticky top is not exposed. Before now the second step is carried out, it may, according to a preferred variant, be advantageous to flip the cover in an edge region over a short section by 90 °, so that the final removal is facilitated in the third step.
In a second step, the glass pane is now pushed into the mounting groove (which is unproblematic due to the fact that the adhesive tape is covered with the cover film), wherein the glass pane in the mounting groove is replaced by at least one counter element (eg counter-sealing rubber) disposed on the opposite side of the glass pane ) or the opposite inner side of the mounting groove is pressed against the double-sided adhesive tape. In other words, the width of the opening gap of the mounting groove is adjusted so that even in this step, the glass is pressed at least partially non-positively in the mounting groove. Alternatively or preferably, it is possible that in this second step on the opposite side of the mounting rubber side no rubber seal is still arranged, and that this opposite Gegendichtgumni inserted after completion of the second step respectively is obtained.
Now, in a third step, the covering film is removed when the glass pane is inserted in the mounting groove and, in other words, an additional fabric bond is produced.
The essence of the invention is thus that it has been recognized that it is surprisingly possible when using a combined element consisting of mounting sealing rubber with double-sided adhesive tape due to the existing elasticity of the mounting rubber, insert the glass in a state in which the cover still on the double-sided duct tape is arranged, and due to the elasticity, it is also possible to extract this cover with the glass pane pushed out of the slot between glass sheets and mounting rubber seal. This facilitates the assembly process enormously, and it allows a both positive and cohesive fastening of the glass sheet in the profile without the usual problems with the positioning of the glass pane, if the cover sheet before the penetration of the glass, as in the prior art is common, is removed.
By means of rubber sealing profiles and double-sided adhesive tape, therefore, a firm bond is produced from the glass to the aluminum frame (partly by adhesive tape bonding, partly positive locking, if in addition the assembly sealing rubber is fastened to the profile via positive locking, as will be explained below).
In general, it must be emphasized that, when it comes to a double-sided tape, this also includes solutions in which an adhesive is applied directly to the side facing the glass pane of the mounting rubber and covered by a cover.
- Keine speziellen Montagehilfsmittel bzw.
- Keine Zwischenlagerung notwenig, geringerer Platzbedarf
- Keine spezielle Reinigungsarbeiten (entfernen Klebstoffrückstände)
- Wartung/Service:
- Technical characteristics:
- Bonding / form-fitting from the glass to the stop rubber creates a secure connection
- Sufficient sealing property
- Shearing forces of dilatation are absorbed between aluminum (in case of using an aluminum profile) and impact rubber (does not act directly on splice)
- Can be used immediately in the system
- Assembly:
- No play-free "padding" of the glass to the aluminum frame necessary
- Installation in one operation possible, do not consider hardening times
- No special assembly aids or equipment necessary
- Mounting rubber (with double-sided adhesive tape) is automatically positioned during installation. After completion of the assembly, the tear-off tab is removed on the stop rubber / assembly rubber seal (compare embodiment below).
- Independent of the processor consistent quality (visual and mechanical)
- No intermediate storage necessary, less space required
- No special cleaning work (remove adhesive residues)
- Maintenance / Service:
- In the event of glass breakage, glass can be replaced without complex outgassing and cleaning of the aluminum profiles.
A first preferred embodiment of the method is characterized in that the profile on the inside of the mounting groove via first means for the positive, non-positive and / or material attachment of the mounting sealing rubber with its side facing away from the glass pane. Alternatively or additionally, it is preferred that the mounting sealing rubber in turn on its side facing the inside of the mounting groove via second means for the positive, non-positive and / or material attachment of the mounting sealing rubber on the inside of the mounting groove. In this case, the process of mounting the mounting rubber with the aid of the first and / or second means attached to the profile before the glass is inserted.
According to a preferred embodiment in this regard, the first means are at least one groove and / or rib running at least in sections along the direction of the profile. Correspondingly, the second means are preferably at least one rib and / or groove designed correspondingly for mutual engagement, wherein preferably the attachment of the rib in the groove via a positive connection, optionally in Combination with a traction and / or adhesion occurs.
In general, it is preferred that the mounting sealing rubber has a sealing leg arranged between the glass pane and the profile in the mounted state, which consists of a rubber-elastic material, so that a sufficient elasticity for the subsequent removal of the covering film is ensured. This is preferably ensured by having the sealing leg over a thickness of at least 0.5 mm, preferably at least 0.7 mm, more preferably in the range of 0.7-5.0 mm, and preferably of an elastic material such as elastomers (natural, synthetic), e.g. selected from rubber, thermoplastic elastomer (TPE), ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), silicone rubber, elastomeric other plastics (such as PE, PP, PVC, PA, PET), or a mixture of such materials.
The mounting sealing rubber preferably has a stop projection which at least partially covers the front edge of the mounting groove. In this case, preferably, the sealing leg and the stop projection are integrally formed. In the context of the method, in this case, the mounting rubber is inserted into the mounting groove in such a way that the stop projection comes to rest flush with the leading edge.
The mounting sealing rubber may preferably have a tear strip fixed to the stop projection by means of a tear-off edge, wherein preferably the sealing leg, stop projection and tear strip form an at least partially U-shaped profile, which surrounds the front section of the side leg of the mounting groove. In the context of the method, the tear-off strip is torn off before or preferably after the removal of the cover film, so that only the sealing leg and stop projection remain in the mounted state at the end. In other words, the tear strip only serves for temporary attachment and positioning of the mounting rubber seal.
Typically, the profile is an aluminum profile, preferably an aluminum profile untreated in the region of the mounting groove, which is designed to be U-shaped perpendicular to the course direction in order to form the mounting groove.
On the side opposite the mounting rubber side of the mounting groove a second mounting rubber is preferably arranged before inserting the glass or it is placed on the opposite side of the mounting groove before inserting the glass a matte rubber, this matte rubber is preferably attached to the profile (analogous to the above has been written for the mounting sealing rubber) and / or preferably wherein the counter-sealing rubber on at least one, preferably more of the glass plate facing sealing ribs has to ensure increased elasticity and thereby easier removal of the cover.
Typically, before the insertion of the glass sheet in the bottom of the mounting groove pad rubbers are inserted.
Alternatively, instead of the double-sided adhesive tape, a liquid adhesive (hotmelt) may be applied and covered with (highly tear-resistant) cover film.
Preferably, the assembly sealing rubber has a tear-off strip fastened to the stop projection by means of a tear-off edge. In this case, preferably sealing leg, stop projection and tear strip form an at least partially U-shaped profile, which surrounds the front portion of the side leg of the mounting groove in the assembled state. Preferably, the sealing leg, stop projection and tear strip are integrally formed. Further preferably, the tear-off edge is a material taper, which is arranged parallel to the direction of the profile, and in which, for example, the material has a thickness of less than 0.5 mm, preferably less than 0.3 mm, or alternatively or additionally is also a Can be used for perforation.

In the present case, for example, the total profile depth over both profiles in the range of 1 = 40-100 mm, the individual profiles have a depth in the range of m = n = 20-40mm.
