Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for producing a perforation track in a web, e.g. Paper web. Reference is made to the preamble of claim 1.
- a preferred field of application of this device is winding machines, in which a web is wound into a roll.
- the device creates a perforation track running transversely to the direction of travel of the web. The web is then cut along this perforation track.
- the known devices for perforating a running paper web have considerable disadvantages.
- the perforation device according to FIG. 2 in document (1) has a shaft with a comb, and also a counter roller with an elastic jacket. When the perforation device is not in operation, the perforation comb is in a position such that it does not come into contact with the paper web. If a perforation track is to be placed in the paper web, the shaft makes one revolution; thus the perforation comb is moved into and out of the paper web so that it leaves a perforation track.
- This device has the disadvantage that its construction is very large. The control must work very precisely because the shaft and the counter roll must run synchronously with the paper web, otherwise premature web separation will take place.
- Document (2) shows and describes a device for severing a paper web.
- the machine e.g. winding machine
- the complete cut is then made by increasing the web tension.
- This device has the disadvantage that the winding machine has to be stopped for the purpose of weakening the web, which means that the reel changing process takes a relatively long time. There is also a risk of damaging the surface of the backup roller.
- the invention has for its object to provide a device for perforating a paper web, which is simple in construction, does not require a high control effort, and with which a perforation track can be placed reliably and reproducibly across the web width.
- the device according to the invention is simple in construction, requires no complex control and works absolutely reliably. This is especially true when the web is not particularly tight in the running direction, ie when the web tension is low. Thanks to the invention, it is possible to introduce the perforation track into the web at a precisely identifiable location, despite the machine continuing to run, with premature tearing of the web being avoided with certainty.
- the invention is further developed by the features of at least one of the subclaims. It is important that the tips of the perforation comb can dip into the recesses of the web support body without touching it.
- the length of the recesses (measured transversely to the direction of web travel) and thus their number is to be determined in such a way that the web does not yield when the perforation comb is immersed.
- the length of the recesses depends on the sheet properties, in particular on the rigidity of the sheet. E.g. thin paper webs with low stiffness require a large number of recesses of short length, relatively thick and stiff paper webs, however, a smaller number of recesses with a correspondingly relatively long length (claim 5).
- the width of the transverse ribs, which separate the recesses from one another, should be as small as possible, e.g. only 2 to 4 mm, so that the areas of the perforation comb free of tips could be kept as short as possible (claim 6).
- Figure 1 shows a support roller 1, which has a perforated roller shell.
- the back-up roller can, for example, be part of a winding machine for winding a paper web.
- a paper web 2 is brought up to the support roller 1 from below via a guide roller 3. It runs through the perforation device 4 according to the invention and on a device 5 for applying a trace of glue.
- the gluing device is irrelevant to the invention.
- the device 4 comprises a shaft 4.1.
- Their axis 4.2 runs parallel to the web 2, but transversely to the web running direction, that is, across the entire web width.
- Wave 4.1 has a perforation comb 4.3.
- the Shaft 4.1 is rotatably supported. It has a drive so that it can rotate in the direction of arrow 4.4.
- a support body 4.5 is located on the side of the web 2 opposite the shaft 4.1. This extends like the shaft 4.1 across the web width. It is very important that the support body 4.5 has recesses 4.6 which are open towards the paper web 2. In other words, the support body 4.5 has in principle the shape of a channel that is open towards the web.
- the trough can have transverse ribs 4.8, which subdivide the interior of the trough, so that the aforementioned recesses 4.6 are created.
- the comb 4.3 on the one hand and the recesses 4.6 on the other hand are designed and arranged in such a way that the comb or its tips 4.7 can engage in the mentioned recesses 4.6 when the shaft 4.1 rotates and the comb reaches the position in which its tips 4.6 insert into paper web 2. There is no contact between comb 4.3 and support body 4.5.
- the shaft 4.1, the perforation comb 4.3 fastened thereon and the support body 4.5 preferably extend over the entire web width. However, in individual cases it may be sufficient if these three elements only extend over a part of the web width.
- the length L of the recesses 4.6 - as explained above - is made dependent on the type of paper.
- the width B of the transverse ribs 4.8 is chosen to be as small as possible, e.g. only 2 to 4 mm.
- the device works as follows:
- the shaft 4.1 In the normal state, ie when the paper web 2 is wound into a paper roll, the shaft 4.1 is in the angular position shown in FIG. 1, in which the comb 4.3 faces away from the support body 4.5. Should one Perforation track are placed in paper web 2, the shaft 4.1 makes one revolution, so that the crest 4.3 with its tips 4.7 dips into the paper web 2 and emerges from it again as a result of the further rotation of the shaft 4.2.
- the peripheral speed of the tips 4.7 need not necessarily be exactly the same as the speed of the web 2. A somewhat higher speed is also conceivable, as well as a somewhat lower one. In the former case, perforation slits are produced in the running direction of the paper web 2, which are relatively short, while in the second case they are relatively long.
- the distance between the shaft 4.1 and the support body 4.5 is adjustable, as indicated schematically by double arrow 4.9.
- the support roller 1 is assigned a web holder (6) which can be pressed against the support roller (to hold the new web start after the web has been severed).
- FIG. 1 An important advantage of the invention over the embodiment according to document (1), FIG. 1, is as follows:
- roller 8 equipped with a knife 9 must be moved off the paper web in order to be disengaged.
- the shaft 4.1 is already at a corresponding distance from the paper web 2.

Abstract
Description
Papierbahn. Auf den Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1 wird verwiesen. The invention relates to a device for producing a perforation track in a web, e.g. Paper web. Reference is made to the preamble of
A preferred field of application of this device is winding machines, in which a web is wound into a roll. In order to carry out a roll change, the device creates a perforation track running transversely to the direction of travel of the web. The web is then cut along this perforation track.

The known devices for perforating a running paper web have considerable disadvantages. The perforation device according to FIG. This device has the disadvantage that its construction is very large. The control must work very precisely because the shaft and the counter roll must run synchronously with the paper web, otherwise premature web separation will take place.
In the embodiment of Figure 1 in document (1), the shaft runs in the opposite direction to the paper web. This leads to undefined perforation and the risk of web break during the perforation process.
Document (2) shows and describes a device for severing a paper web. The machine (e.g. winding machine) is pressed against the web resting on a support roller in order to squeeze the web and thereby weaken it. The complete cut is then made by increasing the web tension. This device has the disadvantage that the winding machine has to be stopped for the purpose of weakening the web, which means that the reel changing process takes a relatively long time. There is also a risk of damaging the surface of the backup roller.
The invention has for its object to provide a device for perforating a paper web, which is simple in construction, does not require a high control effort, and with which a perforation track can be placed reliably and reproducibly across the web width.
This object is solved by the characterizing features of
The device according to the invention is simple in construction, requires no complex control and works absolutely reliably. This is especially true when the web is not particularly tight in the running direction, ie when the web tension is low. Thanks to the invention, it is possible to introduce the perforation track into the web at a precisely identifiable location, despite the machine continuing to run, with premature tearing of the web being avoided with certainty.
Die Breite der Querrippen, welche die Ausnehmungen voneinander trennen, wählt man möglichst klein, z.B. nur 2 bis 4 mm, so daß die von Spitzen freien Bereiche des Perforationskammes möglichst kurz gehalten werden könnten (Anspruch 6).Particularly good results can be achieved if the invention is further developed by the features of at least one of the subclaims. It is important that the tips of the perforation comb can dip into the recesses of the web support body without touching it. The length of the recesses (measured transversely to the direction of web travel) and thus their number is to be determined in such a way that the web does not yield when the perforation comb is immersed. The length of the recesses depends on the sheet properties, in particular on the rigidity of the sheet. E.g. thin paper webs with low stiffness require a large number of recesses of short length, relatively thick and stiff paper webs, however, a smaller number of recesses with a correspondingly relatively long length (claim 5). The width of the transverse ribs, which separate the recesses from one another, should be as small as possible, e.g. only 2 to 4 mm, so that the areas of the perforation comb free of tips could be kept as short as possible (claim 6).
The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.
Figure 1 shows a
In the present case, a
As can also be seen in detail from FIG. 2, the device 4 according to the invention comprises a shaft 4.1. Their axis 4.2 runs parallel to the
A support body 4.5 is located on the side of the
The shaft 4.1, the perforation comb 4.3 fastened thereon and the support body 4.5 preferably extend over the entire web width. However, in individual cases it may be sufficient if these three elements only extend over a part of the web width.
The length L of the recesses 4.6 - as explained above - is made dependent on the type of paper. The width B of the transverse ribs 4.8 is chosen to be as small as possible, e.g. only 2 to 4 mm.
Die Vorrichtung arbeitet wie folgt:The device works as follows:
In the normal state, ie when the
The peripheral speed of the tips 4.7 need not necessarily be exactly the same as the speed of the
The distance between the shaft 4.1 and the support body 4.5 is adjustable, as indicated schematically by double arrow 4.9.
The
Ein wichtiger Vorteil der Erfindung gegenüber der Ausführungsform gemäß Druckschrift (1), Figur 1, ist folgender:An important advantage of the invention over the embodiment according to document (1), FIG. 1, is as follows:
In the cited document, the roller 8 equipped with a knife 9 must be moved off the paper web in order to be disengaged.
Bei der Erfindung ist dies nicht notwendig. Die Welle 4.1 hat bereits einen entsprechenden Abstand von der Papierbahn 2.This is not necessary in the invention. The shaft 4.1 is already at a corresponding distance from the
The invention is applicable preferably (but not exclusively) in the roll change process according to patent application 195 19 306.7 (PA 10169 = R 05355).
