Abstract
A pivot mounted shaft (4.1) has a perforating comb (4.3) at one point on its periphery, with a pivot axis (4.2) running across the direction of travel and positioned on one side of the paper web (2). The other side of the paper web has a stationary support (4.5) which has at least one recess (4.6) into which the points (4.7) of the perforating comb fit during rotation. The distance between the shaft and support can be adjusted. The support is in the form of a groove the interior of which is divided by at least one transverse ridge (4.8). The perforating comb has no point near each transverse ridge.
