Definitions
- the invention relates to a flat plug with two at one end of a base body each integrally connected knife halves, which are symmetrical along with respect to their outer contour a longitudinal axis of the tab is formed, and which with their broad sides forming a contact knife flat abut each other, and with one at the other end of the body integrally molded connector.
- Such flat plugs are known for example from DE-U 92 00 068 and have regular a contact knife. So that this contact knife perfectly between the legs of a curved contact spring dome-shaped indentations are common or bevels provided on the contact blades.
- a main application of such known flat plugs Contact blades are used as automotive connectors.
- flat plug contacts are used on a large scale with the dimensions 2.8 x 0.8 mm. With the known used flat plugs are usually for high quality contacts that are exposed to tough operating conditions are.
- the tab connector contacts must be low Contact resistance, high mechanical stability due to the required surefootedness and almost constant Have contact forces and withstand large holding forces, around the tab connector contact to prevent it from being pulled out secure from the associated housing.
- the primary locking is usually arranged with the flat connector Locking elements, for example locking tongues, reached.
- the second, called secondary fuse is more possible Fuse realized that the tab connector, independently from the primary latch inside the housing Secondary security is regularly implemented in such a way that after equipping the housing with the tabs and the associated primary latching of the contacts plastic elements on the housing in a position in which they are behind grasp the contours of the flat connector. Because of the asymmetrical Design of the flat plug can do this Plastic elements usually only on one side of the flat connector attack.
- the currently known tabs achieve primary locking and secondary security by separating them electrical and mechanical functions.
- the high demanded This usually leads to conductivity, i.e. large cable cross sections realizes that the two lie flat against each other Knife halves that form the contact knife of the blade terminal, both along their long sides, as well connected in one piece to the base body of the tab connector are. Because of this design is a central and symmetrical Arrangement of the knife halves in relation to the base body mostly not possible.
- the tab has a base spring over an over spring, also called locking spring or locking sleeve, put on becomes.
- locking spring also called locking spring or locking sleeve
- For the primary locking are on the spring, which sits clamped on the base spring, detent elements attached, the corresponding openings in the corresponding ones Can snap the housing of the tab.
- As effective area for a secondary fuse can be used in these known tabs only the rear, the connecting part, generally the Serve crimp side, facing side of the spring.
- the design of the base spring is an engagement that takes place in the housing arranged plastic elements as a secondary fuse mostly not possible on all four sides of the tab.
- the present invention is based on the object to provide improved flat plug, which is also an option for attack for a secondary fuse on his four Sides enabled.
- the invention is essentially based on the fact that in a settlement of the flat plug the two, the contact knife of the Blade halves forming knife halves along the longitudinal axis are spaced from each other. This results in Design options that allow one in all Directionally symmetrical flat plug with all-round To create an attack for a secondary security.
- the base body is provided in the bent state of the flat plug with an approximately To provide a U-shaped or V-shaped cross-sectional shape one end of the base body, preferably over a tapered Knife half neck, the two knife halves spaced apart extend towards each other in the direction of the insertion side of the tab and on the other side of the body two webs in Are integrally formed towards the connector.
- the two on Molded webs are spaced apart in the direction of the connector part of the tab, the webs so are attached to the base body that in the bent state the flat connector and thus in the bent state of the base body extend two outer edges beyond the two webs and a U- or V-shaped outer edge of the base body below the webs connects. At this via the connection of the Edges that go beyond webs can have plastic elements on all sides attack.
- the two knife halves each along their parallel to the longitudinal axis extending center lines are symmetrical. This ensures that the tab is also 180 ° rotated can be inserted into an associated contact spring.
- the two Knife halves each tapered To connect the knife half neck to the base body. hereby the necessary bending forces are reduced, the necessary are around the two knife halves attached to the base body to lay flat against each other.
- the entire base body is preferably used, preferably the entire body Flat plug, symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the flat plug educated. This results in a special one simple form of from a development of a metal strip separated metal part.
- the tab connector according to the invention is preferred designed so that on a spring or locking sleeve can be dispensed with.
- the locking elements for the primary locking are preferably in the base body of the tab integrated according to the invention.
- the base body is preferably on its walls provided with two latching tongues each extending outwards, these locking tongues by approximately U- or V-shaped Incisions in the base body and subsequent bending out of the tabs protruding into the incisions are formed.
- the main body in the processing of the flat connector one square outer contour with two parallel to the longitudinal axis and two outer edges orthogonal to the longitudinal axis on.
- the two knife halves lie that form the contact knife, not just flat against each other but are also form-fitting or materially integral with one another connected. This connection can be achieved, for example that the two knife halves are soldered together, welded or with an electrically conductive adhesive are glued.
- a holding arm is arranged, the other half of the knife embraces.
- this arm is a Edge of one half of the knife tied, which is 180 ° in Is bent back towards the knife half. Under this bent back Tab grips a tab of the other half of the knife, whereby the holding arm and the tabs are bent towards each other, that the contact knife has flush surfaces.
- Each of the two knife halves is preferably provided with a holding arm and the other half of the knife, each with this holding arm bottom tab formed.
- Another connection between the two knife halves is that at least one bead arranged on a knife half that is in a corresponding hole on the other half of the knife is pushed in. This also becomes a jamming Connection of the two knife halves reached.
- FIG. 1 is the top view of an embodiment a tab connector according to the invention along its longitudinal axis X shown.
- the tab is with the reference symbol 1 designated.
- This flat connector 1 consists essentially from a central base body 2, on the front End a contact knife 3 is integrally connected and on the rear end of which connects a connecting part 13 in one piece.
- the two knife halves 4, 5 are over their entire longitudinal side spaced apart. About that in addition, each of the two knife halves 4, 5 is to their center line Y or Z designed symmetrically. The two knife halves 4,5 are rounded at their ends facing the plug side educated. In addition, the two knife halves are 4.5 at its front ends, as shown in FIG. 1, bevelled to a point, so that the contact knife 3 properly between the Leg of a contact spring can enter. The top 8 of the Contact knife 3 is therefore with dome-shaped impressions or bevelled.
- the two knife halves 4, 5 are each above the knife half necks 6.7 connected to the base body 2.
- the two knife halves 6.7 are compared to the width of the knife halves 6.5 tapered.
