  • the invention relates to a refractory staple fiber blend of melamine resin fibers and aramid fibers.
  • Staple fibers from melamine / formaldehyde condensation products are known, e.g. from DE-B 23 64 091, wherein solutions of other fiber-forming polymers can be added to the solution of the melamine resin in the spinning process for producing the melamine resin fibers. They are characterized by incombustibility, flame resistance and high heat resistance. Because of these properties, they are used in the manufacture of refractory textiles. For some applications, however, the tensile strength of the fibers is not sufficient; in other areas of application, the low abrasion resistance proves to be disadvantageous.
  • Fibers made from polycondensation products of iso- or terephthalic acid and phenylenediamine have also been known for a long time. They are also characterized by favorable fire behavior. When processing into yarn using the carding process, however, the low processing speed of the aramid staple fibers proves to be disadvantageous.

Claims (10)

  1. Mélange de fibres artificielles à filer ignifuges, contenant essentiellement
    A. de 5 à 95 parties en poids de fibres de résine de mélamine et
    B. de 95 à 5 parties en poids de fibres d'aramide.
  2. Procédé de préparation d'un mélange ignifuge de fibres selon la revendication 1, par mélange de fibres artificielles à filer terminées, caractérisé en ce que l'on met en oeuvre un mélange contenant essentiellement
    A. de 5 à 95 parties en poids de fibres de résine de mélamine et
    B. de 95 à 5 parties en poids de fibres d'aramide.
  3. Mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les fibres de résine de mélamine consistent en un produit de condensation de mélamine/formaldéhyde, dans lequel jusqu'à 30% de la mélamine sont remplacés par une hydroxyalkylmélamine.
  4. Mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les fibres d'aramide consistent en un produit de polycondensation d'acide isophtalique ou téréphtalique avec de la méta- ou paraphénylènediamine.
  5. Mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les fibres d'aramide consistent en un isomère d'amide poly-p-phénylènetéréphtalamide.
  6. Utilisation du mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1 pour la production de fils.
  7. Utilisation du mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1 pour la production de rubans et de corps façonnés.
  8. Utilisation du mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1 pour la production de tissus.
  9. Utilisation du mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1 pour la production de nappes.
  10. Utilisation du mélange de fibres selon la revendication 1 pour la préparation de garnitures de friction.
