Claims (12)

  1. Deckel zur hermetischen Abdichtung einer Öffnung (9), welcher eine fast die gesamte Fläche der zu schließenden Öffnung (9) einnehmende Wand (7), eine um den Rand der genannten Wand (7) angebrachte Dichtung (13), sowie auf annähernd die gesamte Fläche der Dichtung (13) Druck ausübende Mittel (15.2) umfaßt, so daß eine nach außen hin wirkende oder radiale Ausdehnung der Dichtung (13) auf ihre gesamte Länge gewährleistet ist, so daß die Dichtung sich auf die die Öffnung (9) begrenzende Aufnahmefläche stützt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel, die auf die Dichtung (13) Druck ausüben, einen flexiblen Ring umfassen, und daß die Wand der die Dichtung aufnehmenden äußeren Kammer (11) mit der genannten, fast die gesamte Fläche der Öffnung (9) einnehmenden Wand (7) verbunden ist, wobei die genannte Kammer (11) eine äußere, um die gesamte Kammer angebrachte Öffnung (17) aufweist.
  2. Deckel nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß er eine zusammenpressbare Dichtung (13) aufweist, so daß ein zur Wand (7) und/oder zur Fläche der zu schließenden Öffnung (9) senkrecht ausgeübter Druck eine nach außen hin wirkende oder radiale Ausdehnung auf die Fläche der Wand (7) oder der zu schließenden Öffnung (9) bewirkt.
  3. Deckel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Deckel eine seitliche Öffnung (25) zur Einführung des Rings in die Kammer (11) aufweist.
  4. Deckel nach Anspruch 1, 2 oder 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Mittel (15) zum Zusammenpressen der Dichtung (13) außerdem eine Dichtungsscheibe (15.1) aufweisen, die sich in der Kammer (11) zwischen der Dichtung (13) und dem Ring (15.2) befindet.
  5. Deckel nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die äußere Kammer (11) einen deutlich rechteckigen Querschnitt aufweist.
  6. Deckel nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Wand (7) und die äußere Kammer (11) durch Verformung eines einzigen Teils aus Metallblech gebildet werden.
  7. Deckel nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Dichtung C-förmig ist, wobei die Wölbung zur Öffnung (17) der Kammer (11) gerichtet ist.
  8. Deckel nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Ring (15.2) einen kreisförmigen Querschnitt aufweist und dessen Länge der der Dichtung (13) möglichst gleich ist, und daß er aus einem Material, insbesondere aus Kunststoff, das einen axialen Widerstand aufweist und senkrecht zu seiner Achse flexibel ist, besteht.
  9. Behältnis, insbesondere ein Kanister, dadurch gekennzeichnet, das eine Wand (19) aufweist, mit der die zu schließende Öffnung (9) begrenzt wird, wobei die genannte Wand (19) eine Vertiefung (23) am Rand der zu schließenden Öffnung (9) aufweist, dadurch gekennzeichnet daß es einen Deckel (1) nach einem der vorangehenden Ansprüche aufweist, und daß die Vertiefung eine Druckfläche für die Dichtung (13) des Deckels (1) im geschlossenen Zustand bildet.
  10. Behältnis nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Vertiefung (23) eine Rille ist, die den Rand der zu schließenden Öffnung darstellt.
  11. Behältnis nach Anspruch 9 oder 10, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das genannte Behältnis ein deutlich zylinderförmiger Farbkanister ist.
  12. Verfahren zur Schließung eines Behältnisses nach Anspruch 9, 10, oder 11 mit einem Deckel nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß es einen Schritt zum Auflegen des Deckels (5) auf die zu schließende Öffnung (9) und einen Schritt zum Einführen des Rings (15.2) in die äußere Kammer (11) des Deckels (5) umfaßt.
